Title: Qol vs Ta'pez Post by Ta`pez HoD on Jan 25th, 2005, 6:28pm ADVERTISEMENT K'rahl 'ech & Q'olavraH Sogh la' ON: [Time Reference: Night of K'rahl vs. Ta'pez fight, after K'brd'Lok family time in the Halls of Kor] K'rahl and Q'ol's temp quarters on the station. Q'olavraH and K'rahl had returned to their quarters. Q'ol had drunk, a lot. in the Halls she had listened to the stories of the members of K'rahl's family who had crossed the river, answered questions or commented when spoken to, but she had been quiet. Kur'rk had given her more than one look, wondering what the matter was, and he saw that K'rahl noticed her quiet mood as well. Q'olavraH, once back in their quarters, had gone to take care of the children, got them fed and tucked in for the night with B'muan's help. She was drunk. But as always, that fact did not stop her from doing what needed to be done. If a battle happened right now, she would be as able to weild her blade and kill her share of enemies as anyone else. K'rahl sat in the main room, wondering why Q'olavraH had been so quiet, why she looked so thoughtful. Something was bothering her, that was certain. Q'olavraH entered from the children's room, letting the door slide closed, she entered the code for it, locking it. B'Muan would sleep with them, as she did on the station, only B'muam, Q'olavraH and K'rahl had the code to get into or out of the children's room. The children were the ones in greatest danger from those without honor, since they would think nothing of killing an innocent who could not fight back yet. She moved to get a tankard of bloodwine, even though she was already drunk, that had never stopped her from drinking as much as she could hold before now. She took a seat across from him and looked thoughtful. K'rahl: You are quiet, what is wrong? Q'olavraH sat thinking, looking at him. He could tell she was thinking, not ignoring the question, but thinking about it, how to phrase her thoughts, her worries maybe. A few moments pass this way, in silence, both of them drinking, he can see she is drunk, but that does not worry him, she could still match him and defend herself, even in this state. Q'olavraH: I am not certain what is wrong.. I do not understand what happened today, during your fight with Ta'pez. She could not say more, not accuse him of dishonor to his face. She was certain if there was some explanation, some reason, he would tell it to her, help her to see why he would do something so opposite of what she knew him to be. K'rahl:I lost my temper and threw the blade. I saw the opening and was too angry to remember it was not first blood. Q'olavraH drank, and then drank again. Q'olavraH: Perhaps you should work on that if you are coming back next year to compete. A joke, but she was not smiling. K'rahl:On my anger? Or remembering that the Federation dislike blood? Q'olavraH:Both K'rahl: He angers me, Q'olavraH:You need not state the obvious. *she drinks again, watching him still* Anger excites. That is what is said, is is not? *Her voice was flat as she drank again* K'rahl: This Federation Competition brings credibility to him. He won last year. Yet earlier, not too long before, he had dishonoured the trust Kur'rk had given him. He dishonoured Horgat, who died serving him. *he stated his reason* K'rahl: He brings Romulans into our Empire, not like Khoal who serves with K'mala. Those like Ro tr'caos. Q'olavraH listened, and drank, and drank more. Searching for the reason he would give that would make it clear to her. K'rahl: The one has honour, the other brings only deceit Q'olavraH: Ah... honor. Yes. I know of honor. *she drank, still listening while he got further away from the subject of his fight with Ta'pez. K'rahl: That half-blood of K'mala's has more honor than Ta'pez will ever know. While traitors slay K'tarsh. Ta'pez brings romuluSnganpu' among us and lets them walk where they should not be. Yet Khoal, he sees what treachery his other-blood brings to this place and he serves the Empire. Q'olavraH: I find it ... interesting how your mind weaves in and out of things. *She was drunk, but she did not care.* I find it interesting, your talk of honor. *She got unsteadily to her feet.* If you will excuse me, My Lord, I have to fight again tomorrow, and it seems I may have drunk more than perhaps I should have. I will leave you and your honor here now, and I will take mine to bed with me. K'rahl: At least I see value in those like Khoal. I do not think your friend K'Hare would see past his half-blood. She looked at him from where she stood then shook her head. Q'olavraH: I must be drunker than I thought, I thought we were discussing your fight with Ta'pez.. obviously we were discussing K'mala, 'her' halfblood Khoal, and K'Hare. *She moved to the door of her quarters and leaned there a moment looking at him.* Q'olavraH shook her head again then went to get ready for sleep. K'rahl: I don't know what we were talking about.. *he said to himself.* It might help if she told me. |
Title: Re: Qol vs Ta'pez Post by Ta`pez HoD on Jan 25th, 2005, 6:33pm K'rahl 'ech CO IKS Hegh leng CO TG Alpha, TF58 http://www.iks-hegh-leng.fsnet.co.uk E-mail k-rahl@iks-hegh-leng.fsnet.co.uk AIM: krahlkbrdlok Featuring Kur'rk Son of K'Trol (npc) Set before the final: ON: K'rahl wore his best uniform this day, he was regaled in splendour to show his pride in his mate, yet he was not in a festive mood as he walked to where his House would sit to watch this match. He knew full well how his mate would fight and how Ta'pez would attack her. He came here knowing that his mate would likely lose rather than defy her own honour. He looked around the Hall as he sat. He noted where others chose to sit and with whom they were sat. Ever the politician he must know how each Klingon of the Empire voted with their feet in this. Who sat near his House and who near Chang. He saw S'ol enter and the half-blood clearly took time to take in the scene. He also made a visible decision and moved towards those sat near the House of K'brd'Lok. K'rahl smiled. "There is one of the students of K'Hare, Kur'rk." he pointed him out to his father. "Ah yes, the loD you defeated." he said, "He fought bravely." They watched and saw K'Hare beckon S'ol to him. It was clear enough that S'ol had made the choice to sit with those supporting Q'olavraH even before he had seen K'Hare. This was good. K'rahl ignored K'Hare and his student for now and looked at the rest of the crowd. He saw one of the combatants clearly sat with Chang and Be'thal. It was the female who had eliminated the Borg. So at least one Federation pup was already lost to Chang. Had the erosion he feared already started... Every time Ta'pez manoeuvred his House into better standing with the Federation chances of the alliance between the Empire and Federation remaining strong waned. The House of Chang did not like the Federation, they did not trust the Federation. They could never forgive them, for the death of their Lord. Full circle it had come. K'brd'Lok and Chang had been friends. K'brd'Lok served on the High Council as Admiral of the Fleet and Chang as the senior Military advisor to the Chancellor. It was a strong alliance. Then Chang had betrayed that trust, had slain the Chancellor and betrayed the Empire to the Romulans and Federation traitors. Then Kur'rk had befriended Ta'pez, given him trust and forgiven the betrayal of the first Chang. Forgiveness was not easily given and had to be earned. It had seemed Ta'pez deserved a chance, yet they had again been deceived. It was strange, K'brd'Lok had slain many Federation in his years yet he had fully supported the idea of calling for peace. Chang had always respected the Humans, if not the other races of the Federation. Chang had however wanted the fighting to continue, so much so that it lead to the ultimate betrayal. The House of K'brd'Lok had been strong supporters of Gowron and had in many cases backed his political plays against those that had assisted the Empire. It was a convoluted case of staying close to the right side of honour at that time. K'Trol had been one of the voices that had brought agreement within the Council to bring together a stronger fleet. Here sat beside him was Kur'rk, the bravest of the brave in his younger day. He also had fought Federation crews, though his service to the Empire had only just started when Praxis exploded. Loyalty to his own CO had meant that the Second Lord had never commanded a vessel, always an XO. He had been so severely wounded in the Dominion War, fighting alongside the Federation. K'rahl himself had fought in the Civil War, Klingon against Klingon. He had fought the Federation and he had fought alongside the Federation. So with this long history of distrust it was that K'rahl now defended the Federation as best he could against those in the Empire that would cut the ties Martok had built. So he must watch, learn who was with whom and he must do everything he could to thwart the furtherance of Ta'pez. Yet by losing in his match he had given Ta'pez much. Then the way Ta'pez fought Tauvits brought him more. Tauvits was a skillful fighter and K'rahl had hoped to see him defeat Ta'pez so that Q'olavraH might have a final against someone of skill and honour. He looked at Ta'pez as he prepared for the bout to start. This warrior would do everything he could to use this battle against the House of K'brd'Lok. He then looked at Q'olavraH, in her simple tunic and wearing the red sash, a symbol of a p'dra'on warrior of old. On that sash was their House Symbol and the Symbol of the Hegh leng. What honour she had, what honour she was. There stood in the arena was honour. His heart was filled with pride and desire. Never could anyone more typify what it was to be a Klingon than did his beloved. brought to you by Ta'pez and Qolavrah Champion Finalist <battle arena> [Next Day after the Aftermath 3 post of Qol] Ta'pez was angry. He had attempted to talk to K'urk but had nothing recieved but humiliation in return. The House of K'brd Lok was arrogant and thought they were better than others. Today he would prove them wrong. He would show it to them and make sure they dont forget it for a long long time. As he spoke quietly to his joH who once again was here, he projected the calm he used in battles. Inside his body a storm was raging and his belly convulted at times like a caged beast. The anger was here and it wished to devour its enemies. The Arena was full and bustling. The fight against K'rahl had sparked interest and controversy. He noticed even more unfamiliar faces and assumed that word had travelled far about the last match. Word would travel even further after todays match. His conversation was interupted by the chatter as the House of K'brd Lok entered with their escort. Q'olavraH wore the same thing she had worn for all her matches, here. Light tan leather pants, and a sleeveless leather tunic, belted closed. After much deliberation, she had decided to wear the red fur baldric, the mark of the house of K'brd'Lok on it, as well as the mark of the Hegh leng. She had forced herself to sleep last night, made her mind be quiet so she could rest. She had avoided anything but general speach with K'rahl since he had fought Ta'pez. Not because he had lost, had he fought with honor and lost there would be nothing keeping her away from him. The entourage that accompanied her, K'rahl, Kur'rk, a few assorted shieldmaidens, B'Muan entered and while they moved to their seats she moved to the wall to retrieve her betleH. The one K'Trol had given her a week after she and K'rahl mated, the one she had used in last year's betleH competition. It had seen blood since then, but would see none today. She knew how Ta'pez would fight. Had seen the look in his eyes when she had entered with K'rahl. She would not come down to his level, she would not forsake honor here. She would treat this fight as she had all others. There had been talk among the maidens last night that she had drank with. Advise, after she had come back from her training session with K'Hare. Many had thought she should fight at whatever level the Chang chose. "Kill or be killed" one had gone so far as to say. Q'olavraH had finished the tankard she had been drinking and had said only "This is not to the death. This is competition, this is supposed to be for the joy of meeting other warriors, seeing other styles, spending time with old friends that you might not see for another year, until the next one, or never again if they cross the river before then. This is not only about winning! Yes, if I win, I will be happy. But if I win at the cost of my own honor, at the cost of fighting in a way that is not in the spirit of the competion, then I am less than I am, even if I do win." She had gone to bed then, and forced her mind to be quiet. Now she moved to the only fighting ring that was left. She ackowledged Ta'pez, she did not smile, this was not an opponent she could banter with and enjoy. She was proud, and she would go on being proud, no matter the outcome today. She hoped, that is she fought with honor, the way it was meant to be, that Ta'pez would fight the same way. She doubted it, knowing what she knew. But she would not come down to his level. She would not. Ta'pez grinned, his eyes flaming with delight. tbc... OFF: More to follow soon. Qol you are welcome to post the second part whenever you read this or backpost more if its needed. So folks who will win? will it be the devious and evil Chang or the Honorable Maiden Qol. More soon to follow, stay tuned...Q'aplaH |
Title: Re: Qol vs Ta'pez Post by Ta`pez HoD on Jan 25th, 2005, 6:34pm So'l Mackenzie ghojwI' KDB So'l watched the rest of the crowd that had turned out for the final match between Qolavarah and Ta'pez. From the limited gossip he'd overheard, there was some bad blood between the two houses that would be represented in this match. He'd also learned that many were surprised at how K'rahl had fought Ta'pez in their last match, that there was something dishonorable about it. So'l couldn't remember seeing anything that K'rahl did that Ta'pez hadn't done either first or right back, so he was somewhat confused about why there was such a big to do about it. At least K'rahl hadn't fought that hard when So'l was in the ring with him, and for that the newbie Klingon was grateful. The crowd was obviously divided on who they wanted to win. About half the crowd was cheering for Ta'pez, but So'l noticed a quite significant lack of Klingons among his supporters. Most of them were Federation officers, with a few Klingons huddled together in a group close to the ring. Another fifth or so of the crowd was neutral, and all of them were Federation, it seemed the Klingons had all taken sides. The remaining third or so of the crowd were for Q'ol, but what they lacked in numbers, they made up for in ferocity, shouting louder and longer than their opposite numbers on the Chang side of the arena. Something was odd about the crowd's population, and it took a few minutes for So'l to realize what it was. Qolavarah's supporters were fewer in number than Ta'pez's, but her crowd actually contained more Klingons in it, being mostly made of Klingon supporters with only a few Fed here and there. So'l wondered if they knew something most of the Feddies didn't. Well, whatever they knew, there were more of them in Qolavarah's crowd than there were in the other two crowds put together once you took the Federation people out of the equation, so So'l decided that was the group he would sit with. He didn't want someone remembering his face as darn near the only Klingon who didn't take sides in this conflict, and thus destroying his chance to find his niche here on KDB before he'd even really started. So'l managed to find a seat that wasn't too far into the nose bleed section, only a dozen rows up or so. A new round of cheering and jeering from the crowd rose up as Qolavarah entered the room with her escort. So'l was glad he'd brought ear plugs. |
Title: Re: Qol vs Ta'pez Post by Ta`pez HoD on Jan 25th, 2005, 6:35pm ON: >> KDB, Battle Arena: Ta'pez vs Q'olavraH << Ta'pez had introduced Sajida to her father and JoH before the battle began later that day. He had brought her to meet them after they had their little adventure off the holodeck. The old Chang, his hair completly white carried himself with grace and wasnt too talkative however he had invited Sajida to sit next to him. Ta'pez was already in the arena and preparing himself as they came Sajida with mixed feelings about what Ta'pez father felt about her made her uneasy but she managed nonetheless to try and speak with him. Kajada: Your son is up against a formidable warrior I hear, I truly hope he prevails against her. Chang nodded and then looking at the arena replied. Chang: He is a formidable warrior himself, skilled and fighting with heart. ::he sighed:: Today however he is angry and I fear he will make mistakes. It shall be a good fight. Kajada: He fights with much heart as I saw before, just does he always get angered so when faced with a battle such as this? Chang: No, he is a very smart warrior, yet I fear the bad blood between him and K'urk will get the better of him today. Be'thal interjected seeing that Sajida didnt know completly. Be'thal: He is the father of K'rahl, mate of QolavraH. Kajada: Mmm I see, so much I do not know of everyone's background but then again I haven't been around as long as the both of you to know As Ta'pez's father spoke she looked onwards to Ta'pez pacing around the arena as Q'ol came out on her respectable side. Ta'pez seeming to become more angered eyed her sharply. Chang: K'urk was a friend and comrade of Ta'pez. They parted their ways last year at this very tournament. Ta'pez feels very bitter about that. Kajada: Well when friends betray one another I can understand, especially when that friend is close, lets hope that doesnt deter him all too much from performing well As the battle started the noise around her grew louder and any further conversation was impossible. The fight had started and it was already very heated. Sajida observed his father momentarily looking onwards in silence. Wanting to make a good impression on him she tried to sit in silence herself but when Ta'pez got in a good hit she couldnt help but yell out for him. tbc.... OFF: I guess after the outcome of this i'll post again NPC - Chang, son of Ne'thal 1st Lord of the House of Chang Ensign Sajida Kajada Engineering Officer Of The Former USS Excalibur-A Part 2 of 3, brought to you by: Q'olavraH Sogh la' & Ta'pez HoD ON: The arena darkened and the only lighting was that upon the warriors with dim lights from above throwing scant light upon the faces of those in the seats. The judge had annouced the battle to disarm and the crowd roared at the beging of the match. To Ta'pez the roar was like a toxic drink, pleasure and poison for his mind. He settled into the pace that was so usual to him and unusual to others prefering to spare the testing. Qolvarah had defeated all her enemies until now, she was worthy of the full wrath of Ta'pez and he decided to give it to her right away. Q'olavraH for her part was not surprised by his immediate and full force attack. He was larger, and stronger, but she was quicker and had more training, it was more ingrained in her. She did not think, she acted. She would not force herself into rage, if she did, she might lose control, and control was very important here, but pre-thinking her moves was something she would not do. That meant she would be on the defensive most of the time, waiting, waiting to disarm him. That was her only goal. Not showing her skill, not fighting for the fun and joy of it, only to disarm him. She fought defensively well, but it was not something she liked to do. She liked to attack, but there was danger in that, danger he would know what she was going to do, if what K'Hare had hinted to her was true. His style was indeed what K'Hare had shown her, so she merely parried, backing and circling but not giving much ground, just holding her own. She was quick enough to fight this way, and had no problem with stamina. If she could only defend until he left an opening, without leaving him an opening to disarm her, she would be fine. Ta'pez settled in and as they circled he chose a random moment to attack much like he had done with Tauvitis. There it was, she had barely seen the intent in his eyes, had barely gotten her blade moved for the defense. She had been a split second to slow and he could have disarmed her then, quick and clean. She did not allow her confusion to show, but he could probably read it. She defended, without thinking, but now she knew that slight flicker in his eyes, she would be faster next time. Ta'pez grinned and attacked right now. Ta'pez: Your new house is rotten. Q'olavraH knew he was trying to get her to think, it would not work, and the responce really took no thought. Q'olavraH: Your's always has been. If you wish to trade insults, go find a Ferengi, I came to fight. Ta'pez screamed in anger and then attacked. One, two, three attacks, each fast, deadly and precise landed upon Qolavrah. She was challanged yet managed to parry each one, her unorthodox reliability on speed over strength matching that of Ta'pez. Ta'pez: How long do you wait until you can serve dead gagh to them? He eyed her with a provacative sneer. She met his eyes and made a foray of her own. Switching styles as quickly as she could and refusing to think of her next move. The crowd hollered wildly as she attacked. She sought an opening, any opening to disarm him and when she saw it she took it, but missed, he had moved at the last second, and then she knew, she knew what K'Hare had hinted was true, and she could do nothing. His blade shot out and opened a deep furrow down her left thigh. She felt the skin part, felt the muscle part, smelled the blood and felt the pain. It was deep, but not deep enough to slow her down, at least not until the blood loss caught up with her. She let the smell of her blood work on her mind. It would help her work on instinct, not thought. It was her only hope, but she could not let it turn to rage, she could not, she had to stay in control, fight this as it was, a competition, no matter what this spawn of Chang did. They circled. If he taunted her with words, she ignored it. He came in again, using the weakness in her left thigh against her, but she surprised him, not acting as if the wound bothered her at all. He beat her back, then back again, using strength this time, then his boot kicked out and landed viciously on the deep cut in her thigh. Pain exploded up her leg and into her brain, but she fought it, let it work for her, drove her closer to instinct. She made another foray against him, trying again to make an opening for her to somehow get his betleH away from him, using attacks that many were unfamilair with, but so carefully treading the line of not causing him any physical damage. Ta'pez was somewhat suprised at her intent. She was holding back and trying to cover the one weakness he could exploit most. The crowd did not bother him now, their thoughts had become a molten brew that surrounded the arena. They did not matter, only Q'olavrah, daughter of poq did. She was strong and deadly, capable of great honor and true bravery. This thought enraged Ta'pez especially after he noted that his behavior towards her had not given the desired the result. He had attacked, almost carelessly and instead of being punished she had kept to her intent of only disarming him. The anger was fed, it was controlled for Ta'pez was too deep in his empathic stance to let emotion overwhelm him, instead he used it and fed it towards his opponent. Q'olvarah was a prize, a prize Ta'pez could have had were things different. K'rahl and his house had taken much from him. They were to be punished and that punishment was now. Their fighting intensified, the betleHmey were a blur with the heavy breathing and roars that the two warriors expelled as they hammered at each other in blows that were forcefull and quick. Little novea of energy sparkling from their blades as they met and denied the deadly path that was destined to come sooner or later. That moment came soner then both had expected. Q'olavrah mistepped, her thigh causing her to fail a carefully woven attack. Ta'pez, like a hunter waiting for his prey was there. A block and quick counter attack were all that were needed. Yet to the female's suprise and utter disbelief instead of disarming her at the most opportune moment, Ta'pez himself chose to ignore the obvious weakness presented in her unfortunate stance and instead used his blade to punish her physically once again. Blocking her, Ta'pez slid his blade along the edge of her's slicing her forearm, he then punched her with his elbow as a follow up in the mid motion and then decided to swirl a full 360 arc around and with the back of his fist land a devious blow to her jaw. Q'olavraH stummbled and went down, hard. She kept hold of her betleH though. She was confused about how he seemed to know her intent, she had been doing what K'Hare advised, obviously not well enough. She rolled to her knees and got to her feet, as quickly as she could, which was not very quickly at all. She was bleeding from several cuts, and now her face was battered. A look toward Ta'pez showed that now he was toying with her. It was obvious in his eyes and the way he waited for her, the look on his face. She shook her head to clear it and blinked blood out of her eyes. She brought her blade up, signalling that she was ready for him again. She would not yield, she would not give up her honor, she thought it, loudly, hoping that if that was what his power was, he heard it, knew it. She felt power pour into her, her heart swelled, even though her body swayed with the blood she was losing, the ringing in her head from his blows. She was Q'olavraH. She was a warrior. She was honorable. She was what she was, and nothing, noone would change it, no matter who they were or what they did. |
Title: Re: Qol vs Ta'pez Post by Ta`pez HoD on Jan 25th, 2005, 6:41pm ON: <arena> Ta'pez was intriquied. In his rage he had almost forgotten how foolish and honorable this be' was. It was his delight when she got up, her sacrifice in this game, her refusal to bow down on her principles was bitter sweet. He would spare her life, of that he was sure now, yet it angered him that they would never be friends. Such a be' was lost to him as a friend, yet she will become a wonderfull enemy in the future. A little voice in his heart suggested he quit this, yet it was drown out. No mercy for those willingly associated to that hated house that once had been among the few friends he counted. Ta'pez didnt give Q'olavrah much respite, just enough to prolong the agony that K'rahl K'brd Lok was expiriencing now. Again, they circled, Q'olavraH was a bit wobbly on her feet, but when he came in again she was quick to block and parry everything he threw at her with strength. Q'olavraH was certain now that this was not about him disarming her. She knew he was out for blood. He truely had no honor. His one mistake was thinking that just because she would not come down to fight on his level, not succumb to treachery, that she would be easy to defeat. He made a huge mistake in his over confidence and she struck him. It was a slight scratch, long and barely deep enough to draw blood, but he would know, that she could have taken his arm off if she wanted to, he would know. She hoped it would shame him. Ta'pez: This be' has teeth, I am impressed I thought you were like your mate. Q'olavraH: *breathless* I will regain any honor lost to us, here, to you. You are not worthy of it, you are nothing. Ta'pez: You can end this, you know what to do. Q'olavraH: *snidely* Throw away my blade? Never! Come down to your level? Be like you and kill you? I could. *she said it easily as if it was an already accomplished fact* Never! Never son of Chang, Never! Their conversation ceased once again and the battle was all that was left, her stubborn refusal had frustrated Ta'pez but it had mererly left him no choice but to proceed as he had intended all along. Revenge indeed was a dish best served cold. Qolavrah was in serious trouble now, the long battle had taken its toll on her. Ta'pez unyielding and heartless in his quest to punish her. Circling, albeit a bit slower both of them were breathing hard, their lungs yearning for more oxygen to propel their bodies into what seemed to be another endless round of fighting. Once again their blades crashed after the short set of attacks by Ta'pez and parries by the female, Q'olavraH's defenses slid once more, and once more Ta'pez was there to punish her for that. A long slice down her side, the blade boucing on each rib, blood running freely from yet another wound. She stumbled back, another punch and another cut appearing on her now tattered body. Ta'pez didnt relent this time, he pursued, another attack that Qol barerly parried. She was helpless. She could only try to hold on, try to still find that opening, hope that she had the strength if it came. He punched her once more and then kicked her, causing her to fall. She was still there, gripping her blade, she would never let it go. Blackness tried to seduce her, she longed to rest, longed to close her eyes and sleep, but she could not, she would not, not as long as she held her blade. So many times he could have disarmed her, but he had not, she knew what he was doing, she would never let go of the blade. Ta'pez circled around as she tried to crawl up, his eyes staring out in anger against her and then switching towards the isle where Kur'rk was seated. She fought, getting to a knee, making progress. Ta'pez: Get up!:kicking her: I said get up. This is not over! She fell over as his boot connected with the side of her head. Searched with her mind for the hand that held her betleH. There, it was still in her fist. She rolled from her back onto her belly, and began the struggle to rise again, but fell over rolling to her back, she turned her head, seeking K'rahl. Chang, son of ne'thal stood up, and this caused Ta'pez to turn his head. The joH had a scowl on his face and as they looked at each other, Ta'pez finaly lowered his betleH. As Q'olavraH found K'rahl she hoped he could see it with all the damage her face had taken, she hoped he could see the spark in her eyes. She hoped he would know that she had lost, but she had kept her honor, she had not lost at all, she had won, she had won. The black closed in as her eyes met K'rahl's, it engulfed her, called her. She fought it. He kneeled down to Qolavrah who seemed semi unconcious now and reach out take off the red baldric and wiped her face carefully with it. 'Ah....' her mind whispered softly, '... he thinks he has disgraced me, but I have won...." her eyes rolled back in her head. She did not see or hear anymore. Ta'pez: What a waste of a beutiful killer! *he said with some regard in a voice loud enough for others to hear.* Taking the red baldric he pried loose the batleh that was still firmly in Q'olavraH's grasp. Wrapping it into the red, and now bloddy scarf . He walked forward the House of K'brd'Lok area and deposited the two on the table while holding Shatok's old blade in his other hand. Ta'pez: Courtesy of the House of Chang! The arena roared up, the events finally sinking into the heads of each and every rather stunned observer. Ta'pez turned around without anything further and walked over to his joH, who seemed just as displeased with him as the K'brd'Lok had been. OOF: OH NO THE EVIL CHANG HAS WON?!!!! what will the revengefull K'Brd Lok do? Surerly this will have to be punished, stay tuned as our heros continue their quest! ;p |

Sajida startled at Be'thal's answer and agreeing with her actions she added her own voice to hers Kajada: Kill her!!?? He can't! *looking at Chang worried and gripping his arm* Will he? Be'thal looked at her father once again. Be'thal: Hes enraged, he just might be stupid enough to bring down the wrath of the House of K'brd Lok on all of us. Kajada: qaH, far be it from someone and outsider if you will who knows very littleof the situation to speak, but she is right isn't there something you can do. As Chang stood up abruptly he looked directly at Ta'pez and somehow knowing his father looking onwards at him turned facing him. Sajida wanted to stand as well but she didn't want to interfere in such matters all she could do was look on at him lowering his betleH Saj also glanced over at Q'olavraH who was deperately looking around for someone. Ta'pez then kneeled down to her taking off a baldric. She could not see what he did exactly as his back was in the way. Kajada eventually stood to her feet along with Be'thal trying to see as well. Then he arose and spoke aloud so some could hear him <Snip> Ta'pez: What a waste of a beautiful killer! </Snip> He then wrapped the baldric around the betleH and came to the House of K'brd'Lok's table and plunged it deep into the table with another blade in his hand <Snip> Ta'pez: Courtesy of the House of Chang! </Snip> Sajida listend as the majority of the arena flared up with his actions and a few of the crowd along with her in puzzlement as to what just transpired.Ta'pez looked as if he was smirking a touch walking over to where the three of them stood. Chang stepped forward from being beside Sajida and kept his glare firmly on his son looking angrily towards him. Chang: This was not the right time to do this Ta'pez. Ta'pez: It is done now. The two stared at each other and Ta'pez decided to let go of it. Be'thal: We should go, this is not a safe place anymore. Sajida keeping quiet nodded to her response and Ta'pez walked along side her. The head security guy nodded and the Changs with out any further delay. As they were about to part their ways Ta'pez turned around and asked Sajida. Ta'pez: Would you like to accompany us? Kajada: Aye, that I will Sajida followed them. They quickly left the arena and then the station as well. Ta'pez didnt speak much and didn't seem like seeming to talk, at least not infront of his JoH. tbc....... Title: Re: Qol vs Ta'pez Post by Ta`pez HoD on Jan 25th, 2005, 6:43pm IC: Verghese looked at the multiple displays up inside the room. A lot of them displayed the bar, and the corridors outside, but one had been tuned to display a direct feed from the match itself. Verghese had made sure to keep this central place running - the camera pickups and leads didn't much maintanence fortunately. Whomever had created this place previously had been pretty good when it came to survellience. Now, it was serving Verghese some use that he could see the final Bat'leth match, between the previous 'ech's wife and another Klingon called Tapez. What was most interesting, however, was the house the Klingon hailed from: The house of Chang. Verghese himself didn't know THAT much of recent Federation history and Klingon history, but he had heard enough about the house from the Romulans...whatever happened before had really, really pissed them off enough that the romulans were apperantly still conducting investigations and prosecuting those romulans that had been involved till today. At the very least, this fight was going to be good. Verghese focused on the monitor and watched the feed as it came in. The fight then started. Verghese watched it as it went on. Truth to be told, as the events unfolded, he was unsure as to cheer on the 'ech's wife or Tapez. Right now, the female klingon was loosing and loosing bad - but from the camera could show him of the expression in her eyes, she was going to make a move, and going to make a good one. The other klingon on the other hand, seemed more like he was gloating than anything else, and Verghese just couldn't help but boo the opponent - having pride and satisfaction was one thing, but this was too much! He waited for the female to make her move, but Tapez simply kept on going at it. At the very least, she kept her ground, not letting one inch of ground be given away. But verghese could see it - the eventual creeping in of exhaustion. No matter the speed or strength of the female, it was nothing like the brute force used by the larger klingon, which actually worked when combined with a little skill. Watching her fight, Verghese couldn't help but admire the sheer determination displayed. <snip> Ta'pez: You can end this, you know what to do. Q'olavraH: *snidely* Throw away my blade? Never! Come down to your level? Be like you and kill you? I could. *she said it easily as if it was an already accomplished fact* Never! Never son of Chang, Never! </snip> Verghese raised his eyebrow at this and laughed to hismelf. Apperantly the klingons here didn't exactly like the House of Chang either. This was interesting, at the very least. The burst of action and victory Verghese had expected never came, as he watched the Bat'leth rip into the female's ribs and the subsequent spilling of blood. Soon, the Klingon was on the ground, but amazingly - despite injuries that were capable of killing, she was still getting up!!! But then he kicked her. He KICKED her while she was DOWN! ugh....of all the things, Verghese hadn't expected this from a klingon! A romulan maybe, but a Klingon...? Then she fell into unconciousness. The klingon warrior finally spoke quite loudly. <Snip> Ta'pez: What a waste of a beautiful killer! He then wrapped the baldric around the betleH and came to the House of K'brd'Lok's table and plunged it deep into the table with another blade in his hand Ta'pez: Courtesy of the House of Chang! </Snip> House of chang indeed......probably why they really hated it here and there. Although surprising, it wasn't that.....offensive. He should have expected it, really. Living 2 years in one of the worst spaceports of the galaxy should have thought him that much. He shook his head as he watched the entire group leave. This tournament was now finished, for good. And what a truly glorious tournament it had been, even if nothing had gone as expected! Title: Re: Qol vs Ta'pez Post by Ta`pez HoD on Jan 25th, 2005, 6:45pm `Hare `ech yaS mochwI` Klach D'kel Brakt http://www.batlh.com/ & So'l Mackenzie ghojwI' KDB This post takes place during the championship match. ON: K'Hare had asked his students to sit with him during the final match. He wanted them to get the same view of the match he had so that he could review it with them later. Knowing the participants, it would be educational. The combat started like any other but that quickly changed. He watched the matched and felt himself get angry. As it went on, as ta'pez taunted her, taking advantage and not ending the match when he could have, the anger in him rose. He clutched the bench and controlled his breathing. It would have been too much to watch, if she wasn't so glorious. The pride he felt calmed him down... not much, but enough. So'l: This is bull! He's not even trying to disarm her! You're gonna let this pass?! K'Hare: This is not a fight for her life, her children, her Empire. It was easy to hear the edge in voice but it was unclear if he meant what he was saying or was trying to convince himself. K'Hare: We can not insult what she is doing. With each volley just watching became harder. So'l: What she is doing? She's getting killed, that's what she's doing! So'l saw that his teacher was grabbing onto the bench firmly with both hands as if he was holding it to keep himself from running into the ring. K'Hare: There are things worse than death. So'l: That doesn't make it suck any less. K'Hare, still looking toward the arena: But if he kills her, he wont leave this station. So'l saw that K'Hare wasn't going to budge on this. So'l: darnit. The 'ech, host and judge, stood and took a step toward the arena. The fight was over. Behind him, So'l looked at the metal bench where K'Hare had been seated and saw a dent where each hand had held on. He would not enter the arena, not disgrace her in this way. She was breathing and ... a human ran up to her, a doctor! He stepped down from the stands but before he reached the doctor hovering over her, Q'olavraH pushed the human back. The K'Hare saw Kur'rk get to her. The Qel would do what he could, but no more than Q'olavraH would allow. He stopped at the edge of the arena and watched her struggle with pride. Too many in this audience would not understand, but the Klingons would and he would make sure his students learned the lesson she taught today. He then turned his attention to Ta'pez and watch the abomination leave with others of his ilk. He would never understand. |

ON: "I am going to kill him!" K'rahl growled. His father put a hand on his sons arm, firm for all his age. "Not now, she must be permitted to fight." K'rahl glared at his father but did not move against his hand. "I will kill him," K'rahl asserted. "No," Kur'rk said with no feeling in his voice, "you will not!" The elder was not shouting, he did not raise his voice at all. The firmness and the absence of emotion in his voice meant much. Kur'rk was furious and K'rahl could see it easily. Not for Kur'rk the bellowing and breaking of objects and people that always accompanied the fury of K'rahl. Kur'rk was furious at seeing his one time friend punishing K'rahl and Q'olavraH for what happened last year. "If she dies, I will kill him!" K'rahl qualified his statement. "No," Kur'rk said, "you will not." Kur'rk looked directly into his sons eyes as he said it. K'rahl listened to his father and saw the Kur'rk he recalled from his childhood. The one that would spar with each of his children in turn without resting. Testing the skills of each one in turn, from youngest to eldest. He would go easier on the younger ones but by the time he reached K'rahl and Q'qan he would not only be still fresh but he would be ready to take on both teenage males. Q'qan had always been the more skilled of them. He wished he had been there to see Q'qan fall. "She is as fast as Q'qan." K'rahl commented as he watched his mate defend herself. "Is she faster?" Kur'rk nodded. "She is faster by a little. One of the fastest I've seen." He grinned, "As graceful as SaIrI too." his eyes had a sad look to them despite the smile. K'rahl stood suddenly and bellowed. Q'olavraH was down and for a moment he thought Ta'pez was going to finish her. His hand went to his daq tahg and he started to draw the weapon. Kur'rk laid a hand on the arm of K'rahl, staying the action. K'rahl watched Ta'pez icily as he approached with the sash and bat'etlh of Q'olavraH. "Courtesy of the House of Chang!" Ta'pez said as he deposited the items onto the table. As Ta'pez walked away both K'rahl and Kur'rk jumped over the table and ran to Q'olavraH. She was fending off a Federation Doctor. "GET AWAY! I am Klingon, you will not TOUCH me or try to heal me, or I will kill you!!" Kur'rk hear Q'olavraH speaking as they approached, "She lives!" he said "Father.. chechtlutlh for the wounds, bloodwine for my thirst......" she said to him as he approached. K'rahl saw K'Hare a short distance away and he walked across to him. His hand still on the hilt of the daq tahg, which was still half drawn. "You're her friend..." he bellowed at K'Hare, "how could you let that happen? It was a fight to disarm, not this!" K'Hare, barely containing his own anger responded, "She could have let the fight escalate, she could have killed him but she choose not to. We must do what she would want. As participants of this event, we are bound to follow its rules. We have no such restriction once it is over." Even in his angered state K'rahl heard the words of K'Hare and understood. "You are right," he said. He turned and walked over to his father. "We need to get her to the Hegh leng!" Kur'rk said. "No," K'rahl said firmly, "I will not allow Ta'pez to think he has won anything more than a trophy. We will take her to the quarters we have here. The children will also remain with us. You can clean her wounds there and administer whatever care she wishes." He looked over at K'Hare, "If she dies of these wounds I will call out Ta'pez. I will challenge him in public to a fight to the death to be staged here, in public. I will require use of the arena should this happen." He carefully lifted Q'olavraH up and went to leave, before he did he paused. "If it happens I would require a cha'Dich!" he added without looking at K'Hare. With that he left, his retinue following. tbc... |
Title: Re: Qol vs Ta'pez Post by Ta`pez HoD on Jan 25th, 2005, 6:55pm ter the Joh had departed the station and boarded the Chang pagh' - the newest vessel in the House, Ta'pez had wished to be alone. That wish however was not to be granted. Sajida was with him and as such he felt obligated to show her around. He had wished to be alone but the lovly halfbreed had sat with his house and he feared a foolish K'hral might decide to take revenge upon this naive female. Such an insult of course could not be allowed and Ta'pez had invited her to join them, she would be safe and maybe later they could converse alone. As he was about to depart from his fathers company he was rudely interupted by him. Chang: Ta'pez stay, I wish to discuss with you a few thing in private. :: turning to the Head of Security: PoQ, escort our friend ::indicating to Sajida:: to our guest quaters, we will have dinner later and I would be honored if she could attend. The klingon with him had been startled after the silence of their exit from the starbase. Sajida looked at Ta'pez then at Chang and simply nodded noting the grim tension that most of the klingons had on their face. Ta'pez was about to protest but a stern look from Chang changed his mind. Sajida was suprised that the confident warrior she had got to know would be so submissive. Poq departed with Sajida in tow and others in their escort deserted soon after leving Ta'pez and Be'thal to follow their joH in silence. Both be'thal and Ta'pez seemed somewhat uncofortable, such silence was never good. The old Chang had practised this whenever his emotions were raging inside of him. Year of humilation on the part of society had left this man cold on the outside but burning the rage on the inside. This rage, Be'thal and Ta'pez both knew, could be dealdy if exposed to and it seemed their lord and father was awfully close to doing just that. |
