Title: brackets Post by Ta`pez HoD on Feb 2nd, 2005, 6:23pm I 've noticed that we are positioned a bit differently this time from the second tournament, any specific reason for this? |
Title: Re: brakets Post by Valren Arelwynn, XFY CO on Feb 2nd, 2005, 6:24pm How do you mean? Do you mean that there are no bye's this time? The bye's were OOC only last time due to there having been not enough players for a full brackets - IC you fought just as many matches vs. NPCs but won them all. This time we have exactly 32 entries so OOC byes are not necessary. |
Title: Re: brakets Post by Ta`pez HoD on Feb 2nd, 2005, 7:05pm well i guess thats one explanation - last time the tournament winner and finalists were a bit higher up the chain. btw did we attract more tourney peeps this time? |
Title: Re: brakets Post by Valren Arelwynn, XFY CO on Feb 2nd, 2005, 7:37pm Yes last year the champion and finalists from the previous year had OOC byes (that is to say the won the first few rounds through IC matches with NPCs) and thus, you were shown a few rounds ahead in the brackets. This was done at the time as we did not have 32 competitors. This time we do. Why? Likely due to it being better known, there being anticipation and discussion of it, same as why there were more people last year than there were the first year. |
Title: Re: brakets Post by Ta`pez HoD on Feb 2nd, 2005, 9:47pm that is indeed good news |
Title: Re: brakets Post by So`l Mackenzie on Feb 2nd, 2005, 11:20pm I was actually hoping I'd get a bye. Darn. |
Title: Re: brakets Post by Ing The Puny on Feb 2nd, 2005, 11:27pm Speaking of spelling errors, isn't there a 'c' in "brackets"? -Ing |
