DMO NPC: Captain Kayton, please park your shuttle at the coordinates we're transmitting. We'll beam you aboard when you are at station keeping.

After you park, you'll be beamed aboard and met by security/customs people.

You would not be in the shuttle bay, you would park your shuttle in orbit and then be beamed about the station where you would be met by security.

NPC Transporter Operator: *through comm* Energizing.

Kayton appeared on the transporter pad and was greeted by two security officers, one enlisted one NCO. They explained to him the rules and restrictions and directed him to his quarters.
