Title: The Legion - meHHaj crew and others
Post by Ta`pez HoD on Feb 8th, 2005, 11:15pm

This should be moved if its in the improper spot - but time is right just not sure if this is just for arrivals.

ON: " Since the federation lacked a proper klingon establishment the majority of the Klingons were located int he Starbase's largest bar, "The Leagion".

Ta'pez and his crew had gotten onboard and settled in their respective base quaters and had gathered at the leagion themselves.  There were many people there, and it was interesting to see the Humans being crowded out by the rambouctious klingons.

Ness entered the bar, followed by M'Rek.

Ta'pez and the officers of the meH'Haj were sittting in the corner on a large L shaped corner table.  Ta'pez saw Ness and M'rek first and called out to them. "Over here."

T'lai and K'vok had been already seated next to him. Ness walked over to the table, "Greetings, HoD."

K'Vok sipped his bloodwine, whistling in between sips.

T'lai looked up after sipping her blood wine and seen Ness.

M'Rek's senses opened to the smell of food and drink as he entered the bar, seeing Ta'pez wave them over he started over there.  "HoD sir."  He ackowledged.

Ta'pez nodded and greeted the large weHwI'
"Tonigh we drink as friends and comrades, no rank M'rek."  Ta'pez said.

"Hey M'rek." T'lai called out to him.
 He looked to T'Lai, "Yes?"

"Have a seat, don't be a stranger." She said as she brought out an empty mug to fill.  She then poured him a large mug of blood wine.

Ta'pez said. "Sit down, but before you do, roll that barrel closer to our table, I have a feeling the federation watering hole will be going dry on proper bloodwine."

Ness also sat down, not to far from Ta'ppez
chibikouryou: T'lai chuckled at Ta'pez's remark.

He went and grabbed a drink and a plate of food.  Then returned pushing the barral over easily.

"The last thing i need is some petaq try to serve me replicated piss."

"Tell me about it?  The federation dunno didily squat on how to prepare proper klingon food." She remarked.

M'Rek chuckled and grabbed a stool to sit on.

Ta'pez loked disaprovingly at the food infront of him. "That cyborg at Klach serverves better food then this."

M'Rek grunted in agreement but was eating it anyways, without realy caring the taste.
jakethomasness: "I haven't been to KDB for a long time," Ness commented.

"I say lets go back to the wa'pach and cook up some grub." She mumbled after taking a bite of her food and swallowed.

"I used to be posted there when K'rahl commanded it," Ness finished

T'lai looked at Ness with a quirk.  "I've never been to KDB ..." She said.

Ta'pez looked around. " KDB is a nice place, the last tournament was there and I enjoyed it, I even wisited the cyborgs bar" Ta'pez said " I hear he will be at the tournament".

Ta'pez chuckled " I remember dragging a few of your out of the Halls of Kor before the start of the last mission."

"I was only there to wait for the meH'Haj..."
M'rek trailed off as he could not remeber how he got there.

Ta'pez nodded, "But that place is going to the dump, put people like K'rahl in charge or eve K'Hare and surely  there is trouble."  Ta'pez said.

He stopped in midsentence and yelled out. " G'TRELL, over here!!!!"

T'lai finished off her plat of food and took a large gulp of blood wine.  "So I take it.. you dont like this K'Hare person that I hear about often?" She asked.

G'Trell stopped in mid stride and glanced over.  Upon noticing Tapez she changed coarse and went to the table.

"K'rahl wasn't a bad CO," Ness remarked.

M'Rek looked to see the new arrival.  He meet the womans eyes even while sitting and no need for either to look up.

Ta'pez spat  on the ground once T'lai spoke. " He is the commander of the Armored base at K'lach D'kel Brakt."

T'lai looked at G'Trell.  "And you are?" She asked the klingon female.

he took a sip of the bloodwine and continued "and yes, I dont like him much."

Ta'pez chuckled "Thats M'rek, one of my weHwI', you ll be facing him in battle, provided your blade ends up being the winning one." Ta'pez said
chibikouryou: T'lai blinked.  "I was talking to her, not M'Rek." She commented.

If Verghese was greatfull for one thing, it was the carpetting that covered most of the starbases's floors. Unlike in KDB, at least here when his metal leg hit the floor, it was more of a loud thud than a clank itself. Looking up from the floor, he paused to see where he was. Realizing he was actually a bit lost, he looked around for some sort of landmark, or maybe even a turbolift to take him back to his quarters. Instead however, he found a large sign with the words "The Legion." on it. This must have been the bar they were talking about. What the hell, may as well have a drink. Verghese thought to himself, and walked in.

G'Trell stood there and took in the conversation not knowing of whom they spoke she held her tounge and kept an open mind.  She was never one to draw conclusions on anyone until she had meet them her self,  It took a moment for her to notice some one had spoke to her.  "I am G'Trell James of the house of Al'Vok."

He looked at the others. "T'lai and K'vok of my house, I believe you have already met them, Ness my chief of ops  meet G'trell "

M'Rek nodded to the new woman.  "What is your position?" He asked G'Trell.

Ta'pez coughed a bit, "She will be leading the Federation personel onboard the meH'Haj once we return."

"Yes good question,  Please do state your position here among us." She added.

M'Rek finished his plate of food as he waited an answer and took a deep drink of Bloodwine.

"Since when are we having federation people on our ship?" T'lai asked, a bit surprized.

Looking around the bar, Verghese realized that it was probably a bad mistake. It was crowded as hell, and all the barhands were pretty busy.....that was until he saw Tapez and his crew sitting towards one corner.

Ta'pez said. "We are badly understaffed, and G'Trell will be leading a special team."
jakethomasness: "What team," Ness asked.

"Marine team." K'Vok grunted

M'Rek smelled him before he saw him and turned to look.  "Who's the Cyborg?"

T'lai's glance drifted off as she examined the room around her.  Her eyes then fixed on Verghese and her eyes narrowed slightly.
jakethomasness: "That's Verghese," Ness answered

"He commanded the Solar Bounty on our last mission," Ness finished

Ta'pez looked up. " Hey you old fool, what are you doing here! I thought your batteries didnt need bloodwine to recharge?"

G'Trell didn't miss the slight cough as Tapez anwsered for her.  At least now she knew what her position was.  With a smirk she listend then noticed everyone lglancing toward the door she shifted her gaze and caught sight of the new comer.

T'lai remained quiet, as they spoke of him.  She still wasn't too fond of him.

uh-oh. This is going to be trouble Verghese thought to himself.

M'Rek stood from his stool the stool creaking as he got up to get another plate of food.  He returned shortly with the plate loaded with something unrecognizable.

G'Trells face broke into a genuine smile and she offered a hand to Verghese. " G'Trell of Al'vok,"

Verghese simply watched as each glanced over to him. Then Tapez spoke up. In reply, he simply gave out a small smile before replying "The same thing as you are of course! Drinking and fighting, what else!"

"Hello Verghese." She said in a rather darkened tone of voice.  She then watched G'Trell as she conversed with Verghese.

With that, he walked over to the table. Two females were seated here, one of them was T'lai and the other was one he didn't recognize - probably one of the new crewmembers.

He nodded and shook G'trell's hand. "Verghese Siminway. Good to meet ya."

"Seems like you are missing our 'briefings
Ta'pez said in jest and rubbed his ridges.

G'Trell nodded " same here."

T'lai then looked over to K'Vok.  "So how's your training going, K'Vok??" She asked him.

Then T'lai greeted. him. Verghese had to resist frowning in this case, but manage to control himself. In a rather Icy tone, he replied "Hello T'lai. Looks like we meet again."

M'Rek stopped by G'Trell and handed her a tankard of Bloodwine.  "Drink!"

"My training?" K'Vok asked, looking up.
She glanced back to Verg.  "Indeed it does." She replied.  She then stood up.  "Excuse me HoD.  I'll return shortly." She said and left the table briefly.

Ta'pez mererly nodded and whached her go.
tt was made obvious she did not want to be in the same room as Verghese.  The question to K'Vok was an attempt to ignore Verghese.

G'Trell took the drink then retreated and left the two to their tiddings instead she went over to where K'Vok who was in conversating already not wanting to be rude she found a seat at a empty table and took in the sight of the people enjoying them selves.

Turning to Tapez, Verghese simply raised an eyebrow and replied. "Well, sometimes missing a 'breifing' may just be good for our health. So, can I take a seat or would you prefer only klingon company? My batteries don't merely charge on bloodwine...they charge on a LOT of bloodwine you know!" He took note as T'lai left the table.

Ta'pez chuckled. "Well Ness is here, altough i believe he is to sprout some ridges soon." Ta'pez relied. "So you are most welcome to come and seat yourself".

It looked like she was going to avoid him for the entirety of the tournament...it wasn't exactly a bad thing though...

T'lai walked over to the empty table that G'Trell was at.  "Would you like some company?" She asked the other klingon.

Verghese nodded and took a seat along with a mug of bloodwine.

G'Trell looked up and smiled "sure"

M'Rek watched G'Trell going over to K'Vok, barely paying attention to the rest at the table.  The woman was...  There was something about her."

T'lai took a seat.  "In case you're wondering.. let's just say me and the human there do not get along very well.  We are better off seperate then together." She told G'Trell.  She then noticed out of the corner of her eye that M'Rek was staring at G'Trell.  "Looks like you have a fan-club." She commented.

"So what brings you to XFY, are you trying to open another bar?" Ta'pez said teasingly.

Verghese took a sip of the bloodwine. He raised an eyebrow and replied rather jokingly. "Only if you sponsor the money Tapez."
"I am T'lai. First officer of meh'Haj." She replied and extended a hand to G'Trell.

G"trell followed the womans gaze "Humans can hve that effect on some klingons i noticed."  She took a drink then returned her gaze to her company "But I have no pregidece. Until they wrong me that is."

"Well that one did wrong me.  In the worst way a human could." She said with a snear.

G'Trell took the womans hand "G'Trell Commander of the Federation troops soon to grace the meHHaj."

"Its a pleasure to meet you, G'Trell." She replied.

Ta'pez: "  Well with the proceeds from the wa'pach you should be fine. My house has bought the rights to the ship from the KDF, and I have decided to turn the proceeds from my share over to the crew that participated, once the wa'pach is crewed and staffed as a trader you and  I will start reciving regular income from it."

G'Trell caught the venom in the womans voice and relizied the human in queston was on borrowed time. "I am not one to pry,  But how did a human offend you so."

M'Rek was still watching the two women with intrest but he did not go over there.

This caught Verghese by surprise. A steady income from the Wa'pach would mean a lot for someone like him. Although starfleet and IKS crewmen would have little use for the money, something like that would more than be able to provide for him.

"Well that human nearly killed me while I was held captive at the time." T'lai said.

K'tar came into the bar andspotted the meH'Haj crew right away, by far they were the loudest and biggest group of klingons in the bar.

Verghese quickly replied. As good as he was, he was still a businessman at heart, and couldn't pass out on this. "Thank you Tapez, maybe I will take you up on that bar."

"Well that human nearly killed me while I was held captive at the time." T;lai said.

K'Tar walked in.  He would meet back up with his brother and sister soon.  K'Tar had a feeling they were here for more than just the tournament.  "Well, that wouldnt be very hard to do," KTar teased

Ta'pez mererly nodded and laughed. "Very well. Now do me the favor and refill my tankard from that bloodwine barrel next to you."   Ta'pez responded to Verghese.

T'lai looked up as K'Tar entered.

M'Rek was tired of just standing there looking he grabbed another tankard of bloodwine and started over to the two women.

Picking up a mug of Bloodwine, he held it up to Tapez in a sign of respect, before noticing the new arrival. It was K'tar. He watched as he came in, making sure to refill Tapez's tankard at the same time.

KTar looked at the cyborg as he grabbed a tankard.  "A borg?"

He sighed. Not that again.....But then, he was in too good a mood to care right now, so he simply shook his head. "Cyborg actually. No nanoprobes here, only your run-of-the-mill nanites and some solid titanium." As if to elaborate his point, he rapped the leg with his right hand.

G'Trell raised a brow and looked back over at the human.  "Well that will do it."

G'Trell caught movment and glaced up at the man approching.  "Looks like we have comapany

"Indeed." She said.  "Greetings M'Rek!  What brings you to our company?" She asked as she offered him a seat.

G'Trell took in the male fetures and found them rather charming mostlikey a mix of Hirgogen and klingon.  She waved for anther drink then extended her hand to him.  " I am G'Trell"

=/\= The Legion =/\=

James sauntered into the bar. He seemed to recall that it was called "The Legion." As he made his way to the bar proper he noticed a large table of Klingons and a few humans. He didn't pay them much mind as he leaned up against the bar and ordered a tankard or bloodwine. Not the replicated stuff that tasted like water, but the real deal. He hadn't had any since last year.

The barkeep brought him the drink and James nodded. He wasn't in much mood for conversation, so he just threw back a good heft of the drink. He sat the tankard back on the bar and sighed, slipping into a chair. He sat his elbows on the smooth wooden surface and rested his face in his hands. It had indeed been a difficult few weeks. He had seen horrors that had not meant to be witnessed and watched crew die while he could do nothing...

From behind him, a man in a Command uniform placed a hand on James' shoulder. "This seat taken?" the voice inquired. James knew that voice...so familiar...

James lifted his head and turned. As he looked up, he first caught sight of the Fleet Admiral pips on the collar. "Certainly, Admi..." Before James could finish he saw who the man was.

That face. That face he had seen so many times, too many times. That face that haunted him from time to time. "You. What do you want?"

The man smirked, the kind of aloof smile that was both disarming and sly...and yet on him it made you feel uneasy. "Oh, I just came to chat with my favorite creation."

James narrowed his eyes. "I'm not your creation, and I'll thank you to leave me alone."

"But I can't. You're just too interesting...and besides, It's been agreed that you are my domain on the Saturn. The rest of the crew is up to...her...how I loathe her, taking my space. The Saturn was mine before she was a glimmer in my eye..."

James cut him off. "You're all the same, just as bad as the next. I really wish you would just leave me alone."

He grinned at James. It was almost evil. "But I can't just leave you alone. You are my creation, if you want to admit it or not, and you're trying to be something you aren't. Why don't I just fix you back to how you should be?"

James stood up and pushed his chair back. It clattered to the floor. In standing he managed to upend his tankard, it's ruby contents spreading over the surface of the bar. The Klingons, a few at least, turned their heads to take note. "WHY DON'T YOU JUST GET OUT OF MY LIFE? I DIDN"T ASK FOR YOUR HELP BACK THEN AND I SURE DON'T NEED IT NOW!"

The man continued to smile. "Shame shame. What if Admiral Durkis or Commodore Anderson could see you now. Wouldn't they be disappointed. You don't belong. You've never belonged."

James narrowed his eyes, he could feel his blood begin to boil. Why did he constantly have to remind James that he didn't belong. Just as soon as he would forget, there he was, just out of nowhere to remind him of his place.

"I can make you what you used to be. You'd win for sure and you wouldn't have to lie to all these people. That part of your record wouldn't have to be classified."

James was shaking. He had never felt like this before. All those times before it had just been quick, never before had he been taunted about this...by him.

"Too stunned to talk? Too angry? If only your dear dear Akara could see you...she'd loath you..."

As the last word escaped his mouth, James reacted. He grabbed the tankard and swung it around. His face contorted in rage as the tankard connected with the Admiral's shoulder and shattered. As the tankard hit him, he looked shocked.

Before either of them could say anything, security was all over James. One grabbed him from behind and restrained him while another pointed a phaser at him. The Fleet Admiral wiped the side of his face which was lightly splattered with bloodwine and looked at his hand. "James, James, James...what are we going to do with you."

The security officers looked at the Admiral. "Take him to the brig, sir?"

The Admiral smirked. "No...it was a minor misunderstanding, nothing to be concerned with. Let's just pretend this didn't happen. He and I will talk about it later."

James seemed stunned. It was usually in his nature to try and teach James a lesson, a difficult lesson. The security officers seemed stunned as well. "Sir?"

The Admiral snapped his fingers and the Security Officers seemed to change,at least in their demenor. The one let go of James and the other holstered his phaser. "Yes sir." And they made their way back to their posts.

"Think about what I've said. Quit trying so hard to be something you aren't. When you decide that you want to be what you are, come talk to me."

With that, the man turned and walked off. That was something else that caught James by suprise. He was suprised that he wouldn't casually wave his power and authority around...

What shocked James the most was the fact that he had never lost control like that before...was it just that he knew the previous mission could have been prevented if only he had been around? Had it all just been another one of his tests? He had planted that seed of doubt in James' mind, and he didn't like it.

James turned around and looked at the bartender. "Sorry about the glass. What do I owe you for it and another drink?"

Ta'pez noticed the hush as some people were looking at the two federation who were having or had a squable, he paid attention from the corner of his eye to the two but didnt interupt the friendly conversation going on  at his table.

OFF:

The Legion will have its own area late at night.  But if you are in there during the day, post in the area for the right time.   So this thread happens in the afternoon before the opening ceremony.  That is fine.

The areas are devided up mostly by time, not place.  This was done so that it would be easy for people to catch up if they get behind.

G'Trell took in the male features and found them rather charming most likely a mix of Hirgogen and Klingon.  She waved for anther drink then extended her hand to him.  " I am G'Trell"

T'lai frowned slightly.  She couldn't help but feel her heart weigh down as she noticed the expression G'Trell was showing M'Rek.

"M'Rek,"  He said simply.  Then added, "weHwI' squade leader."

G'Trell nodded but kept her smile.  She realized there was going to be a bit of compotation between their ranks." Interesting,  well its a pleasure to meet you." She returned her attention to T'lai. " How long have you been a member of the ship?  I am looking for some one to show me the ropes."

"Actually not long at all... a few weeks maybe." She said.

G'Trell smiled at least she was not the only newbie on the ship. " We can learn together if you like,  Perhaps M'Rek could give us a hand."

T'lai shook her head.  "Nah, I got it down pretty good.  I’m a quick learner." She commented.

M'Rek grunted in acknowledgment, "I have not been here much longer.  I was picked up on the KDB before the mission on the Bounty."

G'Trell chuckled, " Well I am sure i will get it down soon as well."

M'Rek drank down the last of his second tankard of blood wine and went to get some more before returning.  "You are Starfleet Marine?" He called it by what the Federation called them instead of what the Klingons did.

"Was"  G'Trell was quick to reply. perhaps a little too quick.  I will be reinstated shortly though.

T'lai quirked an eyebrow.  "Mah-ryne?  What's that?" She asked.

"The Fed version of weHwI' He answered."

T'lai nodded.  "Oh..." She said

G'Trell finished her second drink,  and listened to the two she really didn't know what to say.  She glanced over at K'Vok and let her mind slip back to their bout.  He was good and she could not wait to get anther go at him.

M'Rek looked back to G'Trell and set his tankard down on the table in front of her

T'lai finished her third drink.  She then waited to see who would speak first as she noted the awkward silence.

G'Trell looked at it then up at M'Rek with a smirk. " Thanks.  So do you both fancy a go in the training circle."

M'Rek's mouth parted in a toothy Klingon grin.  "Could use some practice with the new batletH."

"Sure why not...?" T'lai replied.

G'Trell stood and gestured to the door.  "Shall we?  I haven't had a free for all in a long time."

"Me neither.." She said and stood.

"Free for all?"  He asked curiously as he went with them.

"Good question.  What are our limits?" She asked.

G'Trell didn't miss the settle edge to the woman’s statement something seemed wrong,  but she could not put a finger on it. "  Basically try to stay in the circle and coherent."

“Welp buddy, looks like you get to battle me again,  This time I'll kick your butt cause I'm not injured any more." She said with a smirk, to M'Rek.

M'Rek laughed, "And who is teaching who?"

G'Trell opened the door to the training room and started to remove her vest and other restrictive clothes then got her bat’letH "We are training each other."

M'Rek removed everything above his waist leaving the scars and tatoo to show as he grabbed his new batleth.

"Everyone moves differently.  One must learn to take multiple enemies in at the same time and counter act them."  She eyes M'Rek curiously " You obviously are familiar with that."  She motions to his scares on his chest.

T'lai did not remove anything for she was wearing her armor.  She didn't want to take any risks.  She picked up her bat'leth.

G'Trell made her was to the training circle and took her place and waited for the other two to get ready.

M'Rek nodded and entered the circle taking his place.

Her eyes began to sparkle with the anticipation of the coming battle.

After the other two situated them selves, she took her spot and took a defensive stance.

M'Rek was also in defense his senses alert and watchful.

This was a true training,  G'Trell made the first move she rushed T'lai forcing her to step back,  keeping a close eye on M'rek incase he wished to join the dance as well.
blissful_rose_1: She pushed blow after blow amazed at the graceful block from the other female.  T'lai raised her bat'leth and easily blocked the attack.  She pushed G'Trell off her then made another swing at her opponent’s waist.

G'Trell jumped back then,  spun forward behind the woman’s blade.  The flat part connecting with a loud “ring”,  She watched her opponents stagger back not wanting to end the fight so fast G'Trell rushed to M'Rek who stood watching and taking in her moves.  She would not let him study her before their engament.  Her blade hit his with a force knocking it to the side.  She brought her foot up and caught him in the stomach.

M'Rek still held onto the blade allowing her to push it off to the side as he turned to the side against her kick.  The kick got him in the stomach but was softened in the turn.  He recovered quickly and turned blade hooking the leg between the back of the blade and his side and sending to the side.

T'lai quickly made her way to G'Trell and swiftly gave her a round house kick behind her knees, which would normally cause someone to fall.. Instead G'Trell turned and elbowed the woman in the face,  The ducked to the side to get out from in between two fighters.
T'lai quickly grabbed a hold of G’Trell’s elbow just before it got close enough to strike her, she then pushed it away.  G'Trell took up defense it was most likely better to where them down before anther attack.  M'Rek looked at T'Lai and testing her sent the blade to the exposed side of her seeing if she could block.  He stopped within inches of her so that she could see where she had become exposed.

T'lai jumped back, barely escaping the blow from M'Rek.  She then took a swing at him.
M'Rek stepped back bringing the blade up just in time to catch hers.  But was apparent her smaller size made her more quicker than he was even if he was stronger and very skilled.  Just after M'Rek blocked the attack, T'lai withdrew her dagger from her boot.  The one that M'Rek had given her.  She took a jab at his exposed arms.

Gtrell took a few steps back and watched taking in the way both of them moved and attacked.   The rhythm of their blocking and the way they favored to doge.  She almost felt forgotten.  She caught a look of elation on Tlai's face as the two exchanged blows.  She wondered briefly if there was something between the two of them.

M'Rek saw the blade and tried to hurry to get out of the way.  "T'LAI!"  He growled as the blade came close to nicking his arm.

"Its cleaned.  Don't worry." T’lai said.

G'Trell watched the exchange amused

M'Rek growled, the blade had been poisoned when he had handed it to her.  He didn't know if she had cleaned it as he had suggested or not until now.   He sent her off with a blow with back of blade and turned to G'Trell.  T'lai jumped back, and almost lost her balance, but regained it quickly.  G'Trell took anther retreating step and looked at T'lai not sure what to do.  The woman may have started a mating ritual and she did not wish to challenge that if she had.  She brought her blade up defensively watching them both.

M'Rek growled, not really completely realizing what was happening.  But realizing enough.  Only he found he did not return the feelings.  He blocked her next attack but turned to G'Trell who was watching.

G'Trell was still confused.  She stepped up any how and made a low attack seeing his blade coming to intercept she changed her blades direction in mid swing and blocked his own block then used a round house to go after his ribs.

T'lai had no clue why G'Trell kept giving her a strange expression.  She merely ignored it and swiftly moved towards her.  Meaning to strike at G'Trell she blocked the attack that was about to strike M'Rek.

G'Trell was thoroughly confused now as she hit the floor she rolled away putting distance between them both.  As G'Trell rolled away, T'lai decided to go after her and swung at her, not giving her a chance to stand up.  G'Trell swiftly dodged the attack and flipped onto her feet coming dangerously close to the edge of the circle.  M'Rek knew in his distraction he had exposed his side and had almost been taken by G'Trells blade when T'Lai blocked it.  M'Rek growled and started after them not sure which one he was going after.   T'lai backed up a bit, deciding to let the other woman get back out of the danger zone.  She then took her defensive stance again.  M'Rek stopped watching the two women a moment, then noticed a tickle and looked to his sweat covered arm.  Dribble of dark purple blood ran from a cut he didn't remember getting.  G'Trell dived under T'lai's legs and came up in front of M'Rek.  Again finding herself between enemy lines she brought the flat of her blade up into M'Rek's face then hearing the whisper of T'lai's approaching blade,  She side stepped out of its way.   Something telling her she had offended the woman some way.

T'lai stumbled a bit as G'Trell dived beneath her and she quickly turned to face her opponents. M'Rek had gone off defense as the two women fought and his thoughts distracted then next the he knew his head was ringing and a resounding wave after getting hit with the batletH.  He shook it off after a moment and raised his blade again.  "What is the call of the end of this fight?  If first blood that is done!"  He growled.

"The last person standing without blood drawn wins." She suggested as she noticed M'Rek was off guard.  She took the opportunity to swing at him with her dagger again. M'Rek sent his blade up making contact with her blade and cracking her blade.  He growled and made his move on G'Trell.   G'Trell nodded excepting the new guidelines.  But her eyes strayed to T'lai again. G'Trell  noticed that T'lai had a spark to her as she fought against M'Rek, and how the spark seemed to vanish the instant G'Trell got involved.  G'Trell brought her blade up ready to defend herself.

T'lai's eyes were fixed on M'Rek as she watched him go up against G'Trell.  She noticed that not once did he even try to go up against her.  She was growing slightly agitated at the thought of this.  'What does she got that I don't? ' She thought silently to herself

G'Trell slipped into a offensive strike at the last moment as M'Rek neared her.  Her face flushed with battle and her eyes on fire caught up in friendly sword play.  She wanted to fight him.  She wanted to win.  Mating rituals be darned.  Those things should be done outside of the ring anyways.  M'Rek approached G'Trell with his batletH and then reached for his D'k'tagh.  She watched his hand move out of sight.  She sucked in her breath and dived at him slamming his blade down then reversing her stroke to come up it gashes his arm up to the shoulder.  G'Trell didn't stop though she spun and launched into anther attack.  His blood still warm on her blade.

T'lai growled and managed to grab a hold of G'Trell's wrist just before the blade stroke M'Rek again.  Then with all her strength, she pushed G'Trell to the floor. G'Trell's breath rushed from her with impact she had not expected the interference.  She gasped a moment and then gracefully rolled onto her feet and eyed the other woman curiously.  T'lai took no leisure in waiting for the next attack for she launched at G'Trell and thrusted it towards her.  G'Trell dodged and countered with attacks of her own feeling the fury in the other woman’s thrusts.  G'Trell could not help but wonder what she had done to bring her wrath like this.

One arm now ran with dark purple blood as he grabbed the batletH.  The two women were fighting now and he growled.  He stepped in between the two women with his blade. T'lai was not expecting for M'Rek to step in, for she was blinded by her rage, and she thrusted her bat'leth at G'Trell, unknowing that M'Rek was now in the way.  G'Trell stopped in mid swing at M'Rek stepped in the way.  She took that moment to gather her self and take a look at the situation.   T'lai stopped herself after reality hit her, only centimeters from striking M'Rek.

M'Rek growled, "Enough!"  He then turned and stepped out of the ring, knowing full well what he was doing.  He put his batletH up and looked at the two women.  G'Trell looked them both over and saw something in M'Reks eyes that made her shudder.  She left the ring.  " I yield"  With that she left the room not knowing what to do.

M'Rek watched G'Trell go and then looked at T'Lai before he turned and started to leave.

T'lai watched as M'Rek and G'Trell left the room.  She was now by herself and she literately threw down her bal'teth.  She then slid down to her knees and remained there, breathing heavily.  "I don't know weather or not to call that a victory or a loss..." She said, unsure what to think about M'Rek ending the battle.

It was neither."  M'Rek said simply without explanation.  Then he grabbed his uniform shirt and upper armor and carried it with his as he headed for his quarters to clean up.

T'lai frowned and stood up.  She picked up her weapon and left, heading towards her quarters to get cleaned up.  She then decided afterwards she would go back to the bar.

G'Trells mind was cold calculating as she made her way back to the bar.  She needed a drink badly.  Something had just occurred in that training room that she could not grasp, or didn't want to grasp.  She had seen people in combat many times.  she knew the lusts of battle.  But that was not the lust she had saw in T'lai's face.  Nor in M'Rek's for that matter.  What the problem was,  was that M'Reks desire seemed to fall on herself.  A notion that astounded the young female.  He didn't even know her.  She felt her cheeks become warm,  But there was no mistaking what he thought he felt for her.  Had F'Larn not looked upon her the same way?  She needed to get drunk and forget this fast.  But in her mind she knew that tomorrow would only serve as a reminder.

T'lai headed to the sonic showers, shortly after leaving the training room.  She really needed a stiff drink now.

After she got done with the sonic shower she headed towards her quarters to put her weapon away.  She looked around at the scenery and frowned a bit.

'Such a magnificant place..  I've been away from the klingon culture far too long.  It's time I straighten up and re-learn the knowledge I lost..' She thought silently as she reached her quarters.  She then entered them and placed her bat'leth on it's wall mount, and admired it for a brief moment before leaving her room again.  She then headed back to the bar, and decided to get aquainted with other klingons that were there.  Perhaps she'd learn something new..

T'lai entered the bar, and walked over to the bar counter where the bartender was serving drinks.  "ractajino, bar tender." She requested.

I cut out the first part of this as it was on Hawkeye Island before he left for the tourney

=On=
The house of Pir'up Pa had sent its prize bird of prey to pick up this one human. It wasn't normal for a klingon house to do this but in Jason's case it was an honor for the ship's commander.

Jason, known to the house as Ja'so had been the head of the house for the past year.

As he arrived he took a breath, He was about to step away form the docking port when the senior members of the vessel called to him, as he turned they bowed there head as a mark of respect. Jason returned the compliment then carried on walking with his bodyguards in tow.

His first stop was the hall of honor to drop of his weapons. two of the guards stayed in the room. The other two followed Jason to his room where they stood on guard outside.

Jason wasn't used to having guards, so he quickly changed to his traditional klingon warriors uniform, strapped on the sash which still reminded him of the man he called father. The gold and blue marks of his family showing he was the lord of the house proudly worn. to complete it he had a cape, it was one of the traditions of the family that the senior member (the head of the house) wore the very dark blue cape, lined with red lettering.

after taking another look in the mirror, Jason left the room and headed for the bar.

=moments later=

The trio walked into the Legion, and sat down at a small table, one of the klingons order some drinks and they all sat sizing up the others in the room.

=Off=

T'lai noticed as 3 people entered the bar.  She watched the for a brief moment, then decided to take the opportunity to greet them.  She walked up to them and nodded, aknowledging their presences.

"nuqneH!  I am T'lai of the house of Chang.  Would you like some company?" She asked Jason.

Tag: Jason.

"nuqneH, I am Ja'so Lord of the house of Pir'up Pa" Jason motioned for T'Lai to join them

T'lai was a bit surprised that she had ventured to talk to an actual lord of a house.  But she shook off the feeling, and pulled up a chair and sat down with him.  "So, Are you apart of any vessel?" She asked with curiosity.

The human sat back in his chair, "I'm serving my time at Hawkeye island, I'm a marine officer in starfleet"

"I'm impressed that you can speak our langue.  Most humans cannot.  At any rate.. I have never heard of Hawkeye Island, where is that located?" She asked.

"I serve on the meH'Haj, first officer." She added.

"Hawkeye Island is in the Raeya sector, over with task force 58" he answered

"Is that a federation section?" She asked.  "Forgive me for saying, but I know very little about the federation." She commented.

"Its a planetary installation, a federation marine facility" Jason motioned for more drinks to be brought to the table

"So tell me, are you entered in the tournament or just here to watch" he added

"Well For now I'm just here to watch.  How ever, I am on the waiting list, incase someone drops out." She said.

"then we will drink for luck" he raised his glass to her

"Indeed we shall." She replied and raised her glass.

"So you are weHwI'?  We have a few of those on our vessel.  The leader of our weHwI' is named M'Rek.  I think you two would get along well." She said.

"Maybe so, we will have to wait and see" One of the guards stood and walked away, he returned moments later and placed a large tray of food on the table, as he did he laughed hard at the food still moving around

T'lai watched the human with curiosity to see how he'd react to the live food.  She then withdrew her dagger and jammed one of them with it.  As she did, it stopped moving.  "There you go." She said.  "The cook here is terrible." She grumbled.

Jason looked at her and smiled, he then stuck his hand in and grabbed a hand full of qagh moved his fingers with there movement and then  stuffed them into his mouth.

She took her dagger away, and cleaned the blade then put it back in it's sheath.  She then took a large handful of qagh and stuffed them into her mouth.  It was more apparent that the human did know about some of their customs after all.

after he finished his food, he wiped his chin.

"I may be human, but for the first 16 years of my life I was raised on a bird of prey...only my looks are human, my heart and soul are klingon" he then said

The two klingons with him laughed as he smiled at T`lai and then took another drink.

T'lai just quirked an eyebrow.  She found it peculiar that a human had the mind of a klingon.  "Well then you are a klingon trapped in a puny human body." She said with laughter.

"I may have a puny human body, but i could still send you to stovakor...now lets drink"

he leaned back in his seat once again

"More drinks!!" He shouted

T'lai chuckled. She then stood up and bowed.  "It was a pleasure to meet you, how ever I must go and meet up with my HoD.  Perhaps we will meet again." She said.
