Title: The meH'Haj dinner
Post by K`Hare totlh on Feb 9th, 2005, 2:45pm

OFF:

This is a special event.  This scene does not happen in the Legion.  Instead it happens in a reserved room readied for this special event.

At the front of the room there is a raised area with one long table.  The seats on that are reserved for several special guests.

The closest tables are also reserved for current and former meH'Haj crew of note.

The meal has been specially prepared and was primarily donated by several prominent Klingon Houses.  The food that is served is Klingon food.  To give you an idea of what it is like, here are two threads from KDB that never got finished.  These two scenes are from early in the training of K'Hare's students but it should help with your understanding.

Why this dinner?

The meH'Haj simm is now 5 years old.  In character, this dinner is the celebration of it completing a full tour.  Old officers and crew are here just for this event and many will leave when its over.

The special guests who are reserved spots up front are:

K'Grath totlh - K'Grath was the first Klingon in BF to reach the totlh (read admiral) rank and division CO.  He was the CO for K'rahl (different character), ta'pez, and K'Hare when they joined BF.  He was also the Klingon judge for the 1st betleH tournament.  K'Grath was the CO for most of the 5 years, in character.  NOTE:  I will post something later with actions by K'Grath.  He is not here (unless you see him post from a K'Grath account) but he has reviewed the actions I will post for him.  (So don't tag him.  He is busy.)

ta'pez HoD - Current CO of the meH'Haj.  He was also an officer and eventually XO under K'Grath on the meH'Haj before he gained his own command, the IKS Qoj.  He returned to take command after K'Grath left.

K'Hare totlh - An officer and eventually XO under K'Grath on the meH'Haj.  K'Hare resigned from the KDF when he was not given command of the meH'Haj after K'Grath resigned his position.  Rumor has it, K"Hare was offered the position but somehow (Chang influence) he never got the offer.  Instead, he resigned KDF and later won command of the Hegh'ta in a drinking contest and then KDB by killing its CO.  K'Hare was given the position of Empire representative to this tournament by K'Grath.

Wade Durkis - He gets a spot because he is the chair of the betleH tourney and I think, in character, a friend of K'Grath's from time both were staff in TF44.

Valren is reserved a spot but isn't expected to show up.

Whitestar - Only here as an NPC.  Another XO of K'Graths.

A few other unnamed meH'Haj COs from the past.

The tables nearest the raised area are reserved for the current department heads and older ones of note.  The most notable being Kur'rk, father of K'rahl.  He was CMO and brought most of the bloodwine being served at this event.

There are also a few other tables reserved for various Houses are ships.  The crew of KDB has a table with be'eQaraH, the XO, being the ranking member.  She was once CEO of the meH'Haj but choose to sit with her current crew instead of up closer.

When this scene starts none of the characters at the front table are there and the others are just starting to fill up.  No doubt ta'pez and crew will show up and fill the close seats soon.

There is space for random characters to show up and sit in the back.  (:}  It wouldn't be healthy to take some Klingons seat and if you start a fight, the Klingons will assume you are wrong, beat you up, and leave you outside the dinner for security to put in the brig until the tournament is over.  A little head butting is fine, but don't take over the scene.

Once the main part of the dinner is over I will post that the scene is now open for any and every reasonable action.  There are just some planned events that have to happen first and start a brawl would prevent them.  Until then, find a place to sit, enjoy the company and the fine, tasty, and active meal.

The workers in charge of the meH'Haj dinner verified that the room was ready and opened the doors about an hour before the dinner was to begin.  Already some had lined up wanting to get a good seat.  Many of the best tables were reserved for the warriors who serve and had served the IKS meH'Haj and those with little influence were hoping to get close enough to meet and maybe befriend others who had more political prominance.

The tables already had small kegs in the center to reduce the traffic flow and several stewards were already waiting to replace the kegs as they emptied.

After leaving the Ceremony, Ta'pez and his crew joined together and walked over to their next engagement - the meH'Haj dinner.

The XFY base was  friendly enough to provide for the engagement and Ta'pez apreciated that. Others, old friends and enemies would be there and Ta'pez was looking forward to that too.

Jubilant and in conversation Ta'pez entered the hall backed on either side by his crew and house members.

A few were already there. His crew seated themselves close to the front, a table had been reserved for them while Ta'pez seated himself on the main table next to other meH'Haj notables.

This was his night and he was looking  forward to it all.

OFF:

I didn't mean to scare everyone out.  Maybe everyone is scared of the live food?

ON:

K'Hare entered the hall with K'Grath in tow.  One of the station diplomatic aides had taken them on a tour and K'Grath had insisted K'Hare go.  The request seemed odd to K'Hare, but he could not refuse one that he owed so much too.

Over time, K'Hare realized that his old CO's read intent was to talk to him and this tour was just a way to get him alone.  The aide seemed to understand too.  He showed the highlights of the station, but gave plenty of time for the two to talk and kept a respectable distance.  As they neared the end of the tour, K'Hare wondered if K'Grath was going to talk to ta'pez next or if he already had.  His name kept coming up in the conversation.

Nothing was resolved but the conversation had given K'Hare a hint of what K'Grath had been thinking... it answered some old questions.  But now was the time of the dinner and they both had functions to perform.

K'Grath was heading straight for the main table but K'Hare diverted him to the table where his crew sat.  He noticed a few were missing but he introduced the ones there.  He saw the surprise on K'Grath's face when Ghoti and chu were introduced.  The act also bought time for be'eQaraH to return to the table.  K'Hare had seen her react when he entered and she quickly left Kur'rk to come pay respects to her old CO.  K'Hare noticed a smirk on K'Grath's face when she walked up and it made him wonder just how much of his life had been his own victory, and how much the act of another.

With the greeting complete K'Grath quickly made his way forward.  It would take him a few minutes to get to the front of the room.  More than K'Hare or ta'pez, the current meH'Haj CO, he was the star here.  K'Hare saw him slap Kur'rk on the back, push his way through all the old crew and go up on the stage to greet ta'pez and the other officers who had served under him.

K'Hare turned his attention to QaraH.  "So'l?"

She shrugged... she didn't know where he was either.

K'Hare frowned.  "I must go sit up front but I am sure BloodWine will taste better here."  To the table he added, "Enjoy yourselves.  It is rare that you will sit in a room like this.  So many Klingons from so many Houses, all sharing a common bond.  What you can learn here tonight is not something I can easily teach."

By the time he reached the main table everyone was sitting and with K'Grath here, the main meal was served.  K'Hare was relieved that the open chair by K'Grath was on the side opposite ta'pez.

G'Trell spotted M'Rek and casually made her way to him.  Punched him lightly in his injured arm.  "Well it nice to know you disiced to drop in."  She flashed him a playful smile. "Care to finish what we started?"

M'Rek grunted slightly, "Depends on what we are finishing."  His lips parted for a slight Klingon grin.

G'Trell chuckled then caught sight of Tapez and K'vok leaving. " Rats,  guess we will have to wait a bit longer.  It appears to be dinner time." She gave him one of her lopsided grins.  " I was hoping to have a one on one with you,  I must say I admire your skill."

M'Rek chuckled deeply in return.  "We will have another chance, you beat me once but I learn quickly."  He said indicating his arm which in a first bloodmatch she would of beaten him in.

G'Trell looked up at him her brown eyes glittering with promise. " I dont dout that at all.  What do you say we discuss this over some good food and better drinks."  She motioned to the exit that was almost a clear shot from them.

M'Rek nodded, "Sounds good, am starving."  And as if his stomach hheard him it made a loud growl.

G'Trell nodded and headed for the exit.  She could not help but feel eyes on her.  She looked aroun a moment and seeing no one she merely shruged made it a point to stick close to M'Rek for now.

M'Rek and G'Trell arrived a few minutes later at the Dinner with G'Trell standing pretty close to M'Rek and both apparently enjoying themselves.

Ing sat quietly at the table for the KDB students. At least among the more outlandish half-breeds, he didn't stand out very much.

After his conversation with be'thal that afternoon, he was curious how the situation between K'Hare and ta'pez was going to play out. In particular, he was going to pay attention to how the other Klingons treated ta'pez, now that he knew the meH'Haj commander's secret.

She was here.  Finally, she was here, where she could go and see the vessel where it had all started.  Where her life had changed so dramatically, where her life had begun really.

She wore a black gown, the buckle on the weapon's belt was silver, the spikes on her gloves and boots were silver, the adornments on her weapons were all silver.  She liked the black and silver, somehow it made her seem larger than she was.

Not that she needed to prove herself anymore, not at all.

This female had been HoD of the meH'Haj, that she had made it to that point as proof enough that she was a warrior to be reckoned with, even though she had only held the post for a short time before she had been called to another assignment, one that was now finished.

As she entered the hall that had been reserved, not many eyes turned toward her, but then she was small for a Klingon, only standing 5 feet and 7 inches tall with her combat boots on.  Many had told her that what she lacked in stature, she made up for in pure tenacity and Klingon attitude.

She moved through the crowd, nodding a few that she recognised.  She wore no house symbol on her baldric, no sign of rank (she had none now, and the work she had been doing, she hadn't needed one), nothing really to set her apart, yet those who recognised her saluted and greeted her as if it had been only yesterday they had all served together.

She felt a tug on her hair and turned to see LIHraH, who had been the weHwI' commander under her leadership.  The tall be' was fat with child with a look of sadness in her eyes.

The two females embraced, LIHraH towering over yoHDeS, they spoke softly for a moment, the larger female quickly relating the facts of her life, the loss of her mate in battle and that they had 2 children, soon to be 3.  DeS promised to meet later somewhere where they could catch up, then she continued to move toward the table designated for those who had been Commanding Officer of the meH'Haj.

Finally she reached the table and took an empty seat, not much caring who she sat beside as long as there was bloodwine close at hand.  She dipped her tankard and guzzled it down without pausing for breath, then she quickly dipped it again and took a long swig, then settled it on the table and let her dark eyes scan the faces around her.

OFF:  yoHDeS was HoD of the meH'Haj before K'Grath.  I can't even remember how long ago it was now.. but she COed that big piece of space debris for about 6 months I guess. :)

Ness sat down at the table.  All of it was Klingon food.  So he decided he'd use the replicator in his room when dinner was over.  "No interest in trying human food while you're here is there?" Ness commented.

OFF:

Instead of the usual dueling on the raised stage in the back room, the platform had a table where a collection of ranking Klingons were seated.  In the room, more tables than usual were stuffed in and each was full except for the odd chair left open for someone who knew to return quickly, or lose the place.   At the highlighted table were three Klingons of note, K'Grath totlh, former CO of the meH'Haj and mentor to most of the Klingons in the room, K'Hare totlh, now CO of Klach D'kel Bract and former XO of the meH'Haj, and Ta'pez HoD, current CO of the meH'Haj.  Attention was set firmly on these three and not simply because of their raised location.

ON:

After the main course the dinner had resorted to Klingons all through the large hall, standing and telling stories of the ship.  Finally this had simply become each taking a turn, yelling a toast, and having the room cheer and drink in unison.  Ta’pez had stood up and toasted the strength of the Empire… it’s Houses.  As part of his toast he had praised House Chang, House K’Grath, and looked around and named the other great Houses in attendance.  He only stumbled when he looked at K’Hare… he fumbled for the House name and sat down looking embarrassed.  More than one Klingon laughed… many understood Ta’pez’s implication.  K’Hare in turn stood up and praised the Empire and greatness of Klingons for their boldness, their honesty, and the way they stood proud of who and what they were, regardless of the thoughts of others.  It was crafted well and only Ta’pez didn’t seem to enjoy it.  This was repeated several times, each taking turns insulting the other when their turn came up again.  The crowd was getting excited.

Title: The end of the K'Hare/Ta'pez rivalry?
Post by K`Hare totlh on Feb 10th, 2005, 10:29am

K'Grath was getting angrier with every passing moment.  He had tried to be patient but his former XOs were testing him.  It was times like this that he was sorry Whitestar had ever moved on.  Together their victories had propelled him, his ship, the meHHaj to great glory.  When Whitestar left first Ta'pez and then K'Hare had taken over as XO.

K'Grath had given Ta'pez his chance at XO right after Whitestar left.  He knew Ta'pez's secrets and while he didn't agree with his choices, Ta'pez was able to inspire a following.  That it was based on hatred of the Federation was unfortunate, but he couldn't deny his right to try.  That he was a Chang, a member of such a powerful House would have made any other choice difficult.  But it turned out to be short lived, anyway.   K'Grath foresaw the conflict between the two Klingons and since Chang was already attempting to get a command for Ta'pez, it was easy enough for K'Grath to make a few suggestions and have it happen sooner.  Direct conflict between the two was avoided and he gained time to turn both into better leaders.

Then trouble for his House started.  And old enemy and an old oath returned to force his hand.  He left the service with little preparation.  But before he went on his personal mission he arranged for K'Hare to take over the meHHaj.  Somehow, without his attention, that had fallen apart.  He suspected it was Chang, a small move by Ta'pez but he couldn't prove it and he wasn't sure that Ta'pez had known at the time what K'Hare thought of him.

At different times, both had been the warrior he would have chosen to follow him as commander of the meH'Haj.   He'd tested Ta'pez and found him to be too willing to use subterfuge and manipulation.  He even excelled at it.  When given the chance to admit his secrets, Ta'pez kept them, and given a small choice between honor undeserved or failure, he accepted the honor.  Given time, K'Grath was sure he could have changed him, but events had prevented that.  The most untimely event was the arrival of K'Hare.

K'Hare, a Klingon with no past, no family, and as far as most were concerned, no future.  But K'Hare arrived with the recommendation of someone K'Grath both trusted and owed a great deal.  That required giving him an opportunity and it was one the Houseless
Klingon did not waste.  He excelled as Chief Engineer, more than any before him.  What most considered an insult, K'Hare accepted as the gift it was.  But while he was almost human in his humility, his hatred of anything non-Klingon was a blind spot.  Worse, he was vocal about it, and his lack of discretion was going to lead to the inevitable clash with Ta'pez.

K'Grath had tested K'Hare by putting one of his other projects into K'Hare's old position.  A seemingly random act, but he'd seen the ownership and pride K'Hare had taken in Engineering, so he put a competent, but unqualified officer in his place when K'Hare moved to XO.  The masterstroke was she was half-human, exactly the thing K'Hare most hated.  But as XO, K'Hare had surprised him.  Not only did he treat the officer fairly, but under his direction, she too excelled.  His dislike of her nature did not seem to affect his treatment of her.  It gave K'Grath hope that the conflict between K'Hare and Ta'pez could be avoided.

Events grew stranger.  He had seen K'Hare make the honorable choice despite his bigotry so when he had to leave the meH'Haj, K'Grath arranged for K'Hare to take command of of his ship.  Yet later, he heard that instead, his student had resigned his commission only to be reinstated by K'rahl, an Imperial Klingon known to dislike Colonial Klingons of K'Hare, or even K'Grath's sort.  (Few knew that K'Grath and K'Hare were from the same colony world.)  The greatest irony was that K'Hare's reentry was to command of a ship with the same half-human officer as XO.  Further, his crew was composed entirely of other half-Klingons.  He resigned to avoid what K'Grath thought he most wanted, only to accept what K'Grath would have thought he least desired.

With K'Hare gone, it fell to Ta'pez to command the meH'Haj  Each had their command.  Random chance seemed to support K'Grath's hope for the two.  One would expect them to gain perspective, to learn through command, the lessons that K'Grath would have taught them. But it could never be so simple.  K'Grath's private mission made him look away and focus elsewhere.

When he looked back, all K’Grath heard were the stories.  Ta'pez was known for his aggression when he had the advantage, and his knack to avoid the worst conflicts through methods most did not know.  K'Hare was known for his directness and practical approach.  Of the two, K'Grath knew Ta'pez had the advantage in a simple fight yet it was not Ta'pez aggression that picked the time and place, nor did K'Hare practical nature restrain him.  The stories say that K'Hare tricked Ta'pez into a duel, one that would have ended their conflict badly for both.  Instead, a respected Klingon interfered and gave her own life, and her rank and position to K'Hare.  That she had a history with Ta'pez was hardly known and surely would do little to end the differences between them.

Yet there the story ended.  K'Hare did not reassert his challenge and Ta'pez did not seek revenge, at least directly.  When the conflict was private, K'Grath had sensed it was inevitable.  When it was made public, it disappeared.  He had wondered why, and now he knew.

Both Klingons were K'Grath's projects, and like the many before them, K'Grath privately took some credit for their success.  He didn't deny that each had earned what they had gained, but he had consciously, and secretly created some of the situations that gave them challenge and chance for victory.  He had watched them, through surrogates, and had great expectations for this celebration.  The facts belied the reality though.  Each had made great gains but to see them here, with their attitudes to each other so clear, to see their crew and even neutral Klingons watching the pair, just waiting for the conflict, told K'Grath that neither had become what he had foreseen in them.

The room was thick with anticipation and it ruined the celebration.  K'Grath had stood and made a toast to ship and her crew, both past and present.  The cheers and outbursts told some of the pride and history of the ship.  The odd Bloodwine that K'Hare had made a great show of presenting to the crew had been accepted with great approval because of its superior intoxicating nature.  But then Ta'pez had stood and made a toast and K'Hare had spilt his tankard, wasting the Bloodwine that remained in the cup.  Worse, when all others had stood to cheer Ta'pez's toast, K'Hare simply stood, turned his back on Ta'pez, and left the raised stage to go sit at a table that could only be his crew, a collection of half-breeds and misfits that seemed just a little wrong.  The insult was obvious and the cheers died far too quickly.

Many would think K'Hare had insulted the ship and a great number of those present were looking to him to respond.  But he had had to endure the cutting remarks between the pair that went mostly unnoticed and only a handful in the room understood that last reference that Ta'pez had made, and the insult it meant to K'Hare.  The brew K'Hare had brought was too strong because K'Grath felt himself get angry, a luxury he rarely allowed himself, and he was tired of this old conflict.  It was too wasteful and he now doubted it could be resolved.  He saw only one path to resolution and he no longer saw any gain in delaying it.  Since he was here, he could personally insure it was kept honest.

K'Grath:  K'Hare, I suppose you missed your crew.  I don't know if I should be insulted that my company was so ill received.

It was a calculated comment designed to get the greatest reaction from K'Hare specifically.  K'Hare stood quickly, took a drink and then a breath to calm down.

K'Hare:  I meant no insult to you, K'Grath.  Your presence is the only reason I have stayed so long.

K'Grath:  K'Hare, your new rank seems to have changed you.  I have never known you to avoid conflict, or to refrain from speaking directly.  In fact, if you have a fault, I'd say it was being too quick to share your opinions.  Has promotion and association with the Federation changed you so much?

Again a slight aimed at K'Hare.  K'Grath knew he could not keep silent.

K'Hare:  Out of respect for you, I choose not to take issue with another of your students, despite my own doubts to whether he deserved the honor.

Few of the Klingons in the room had any doubt as to who K'Hare was referring to.  In fact, the one he'd just insulted was getting angry from the looks the room was giving him.  The alliances of the Klingons were clear to anyone who knew the signs.  If the insults escalated, it could easily become something that would get out of hand, even by Klingon standards.   Ta'pez stood in anger.

Ta'pez:  Respect?  Again you insult me while talking about honor.  You, a Houseless Klingon, with no one that would support you!

Several of the students at K'Hare's table started to stand but were stopped by a gesture from be'eQaraH.  She herself had stood and sat back down after a motion from K'Hare.  But the gesture from his crew did not go unnoticed.

Ta'pez:  Of course, I meant none of Klingon Houses that would support you.

The barb got a laugh from a noticeable part of the crowd.  The potential for conflict was elevating but now it was likely the whole of the room would be involved.  K'Grath had seen the bloody route as the only course to take, but not on that scale.  This was personal and it should remain such.  He stood, grabbed the table, and pulled it back on the stage.

K'Grath:  We are Klingons and we have ways of dealing with such situations.  This is a personal matter and it should be settled that way.

The comment seemed to both calm and excite the crowded.  When Ta'pez walked around the table, stood in the now clear area and spoke directly to K’Hare, the room grew silent.

Ta'pez:  Dare you?  I grow tired of your superior attitude.  You have no House and repeatedly insult mine while flaunting your own position.  This must end now.

Slowly, ever so slowly, K'Hare walked back up to the stage and up one of the small sets of stairs and stood inches from Ta'pez.  He paused before speaking and that just increased the tension in the room.

K'Hare:  I have no interest in killing you.  I have long since overcome that urge.  It would solve little.   The stain on your House for accepting such as you would remain.  There is little I can do to change that.

The crowd was stunned and stood unsure of what to do.  It was clear K'Hare had insulted House Chang but his words made no sense.  Did this Houseless Klingon insult all Houses or just Chang?  The room became restless again and no one was sure what was about to happen.  K'Grath, who did understand suddenly understood K'Hare's attitude, even if he didn't agree with it.  But it was clear now and he thought he could force them both to back down.  One with a veiled threat, the other with acceptance.

K'Grath:  Ta'pez, what he has gained he has earned.  There can be little doubt because as you say, he is Houseless, there have been few to help him.  K'Hare, if you have made a choice, than stand by it.  Challenge him or accept him.  This feud ends now, or I end it.

Without taking his eyes off of Ta'pez, K’Hare spoke for the room to hear.  K’Grath was stunned by the cleaverness of it.

K'Hare:  I will challenge him, but not in the way you mean.  Killing him, or having him kill me will change nothing.  Ta'pez, I challenge you to be who you are, I challenge you to be honest to everyone one here, and most of all, to yourself.

Ta'pez stared back at him.  He understood the game K'Hare was playing now and knew it would never end.  He looked at the table of K'Hare's students.  More, just like him.  Ta'pez wondered how many of them K'Hare had shared his secret with.  Ta'pez's secret was a great advantage but it was also a burden he had carried for too long.  He could kill K'Hare right now and he was sure that K'Hare would die without telling the room what he knew, but K'Grath knew, and probably some of K'Hare's crew.  That he had the secret and that others knew it gave them power over him.  He didn't like that.  He could kill K'Hare but another would follow.  K'Hare had seen to that.  He would be prepared for that.  But more than anything else, Ta'pez was tired of the secret and of the power it gave others.  He would accept the challenge.  He laughed.  Then what K'Hare do?  He turned to the crowd and stepped to the edge of the stage and spoke loudly and clearly.

Ta'pez:  I am Ta'pez, son of Chang.  I am Second Lord of House Chang and I command the IKS meH'Haj. Before the honor of commanding this glorious ship, I commanded the Qoj and battled the onslaught of the Chackilian fleet from the beginning to the end of the Second battle of Klach D'kel brakt. Yet K'Hare denies my well-earned honor!  But like K'Hare, I once was without a house, without support.  I have battled many, for the glory of the empire and that of my House.  Many have recognized me for what I am others have not.  Chang was not my first father even though he has loved me and raised me in the Klingon way like any Klingon father would his son. Before him, I was son of Ta'rath.

He paused, the gamble of his statement weighing on him.  He saw a few gasps in the crowd as some knew what was coming next… some knew of his biological father.  Ta'rath had commanded one of the most notorious klingon pirate ship the veqlargh, an  outlaw more myth then reality.

Ta'pez:  Before Chang, I was son of Ta'rath and his mate, Arwe of Betazed.  I died saving one of the House of Chang and in turn was reborn into House Chang.  I am a son of QonoS but I am also a son of Betazed, I have chosen my Klingon Heritage and live now amongst those same honorable warriors.

He looked at them all, paying special attention to K'Hare and his students.

Ta'pez: But that is not all, I have neither denied nor abdicated my possession of the rights and abilities all half children of Betazed expect.  I am both Klingon and Betazed, judge me as you will my actions speak as loud as my heritage does.

Ta'pez, Klingon and Betazed stood before the collection of Klingons and for the first time refused to apologize for what he was.  He then turned and looked just as defiantly at K'Hare.

Ta'pez: K'Hare was given knowledge of my heritage long ago, he has surrounded himself with those like me, yet chooses to pass judgment that is ill conceived upon me. So what now K'Hare, your knowledge is their as well. How will you judge me now K'Hare totlh?

Only those that knew him could tell he was surprised but all that knew him knew he was as good as his word.   K'Hare stepped up to Ta'pez and the buzz that had started from Ta'pez's revelation abruptly halted.  K'Hare spoke for all to hear.

K'Hare:  I do not like it and I do not support the existence of such as you, but I accept you, Ta'pez Chang, for what you are.  Our past differences are now forgotten and I will judge you only by your future actions.  I will drink with you and will kill you if honor requires it.

The crowd looked on, not believing the turn of events.  From one of the open tables a short human female in medical colors stepped up and scanned the pair with her tricorder.

Culshaw:  It is true.  He *indicating Ta’pez* is half-Human… *she hit a button to refine the scan*  no, half-Betazed.

Turning to K’Hare she rescanned to confirm the reading.

Culshaw:  And you are 20-25% Romulan… one of your grandfather’s I would think.

Ta'pez looked shocked for a moment but quickly regained his wit.

"HA! A challange from one who has failed at the same task! K'Hare tolth', commander of the armored base of Klach D'kel Brakt, it is you who needs to aknoledge the heritage."

A murmor of agreement echoed from both sides. Too many had been suprised, in a state of shok and now like lambs could be directed either way.

Ta'pez was  enraged over the deciet and the duplicity of it. K'Hare was no better then Ta'pez.

In the back of the Hall another Chang was furious, at Ta'pez, KHare, the world.  She got up and nodded to several of her closest associates who in turn all joined her in tacitly leaving the hall, they had enough of the two mongrels bickering in front.

T'lai had entered the room just in time to see the argument.  She watched it, and after it was over with, she merely crossed her arms and looked at Ta'pez with dissapointment.  She thought he was better than that.  She had never known Ta'pez to stoop down so low that he'd act rather childish infront of everybody.

She sighed and took a seat in a nearby empty chair.

He stood at the back of the room, against one of the cold hard walls using the feeling to help focus his mind against the onslaught of the bloodwine he had consumed here. If he would have admitted it he would have said the whole situation frightened him, here he stood in a room full of rowdy Klingons in nothing but his civilian attire. The minute any fighting broke out he knew he’d find himself one of the first non-Klingons trampled.

Still something stopped him moving from the room for his own safety, somewhere deep within his mind a warning flag had been triggered and now Taylor needed to work out what it was, and do so quickly. The one thing that struck him as odd was K’Hare’s mannerisms this wasn’t the Klingon he’d first met at that secret location. It seemed as though he was a watered down version of K’Hare.

The PADD’s from earlier in their trip flashed before his eyes, “That’s” it he exclaimed under his breath! It wasn’t K’Hare standing there at all. Quickly he pulled his communicator from his pocked and tapped it once to open a comm link “Security this is Rear Admiral Taylor Commanding Officer of Task Force 86, I need security officers standing by to apprehend K’Hare totlh.” He closed the comm. link and dropped it back in to his pocket not wanting to deal with any inquires security may have. It didn’t cross is mind that few people other than K’Hare knew he was on the station at all, he never considered security may ignore his request.

Looking around the room he caught sight of K’Hare’s crew members, quickly he moved his way across the room trying to reach the crew before any fighting broke out. Coming up from behind Ing Taylor tapped him lightly on the shoulder “Ing, this is very important I need to know exactly how you prove or disprove your theories of the imposter on the Scott” Dan pointed over to K’Hare “I’m not sure if that’s our K’Hare or not” he said simply to end his statement.

T'lai noticed a suspicious character talking into a communicator.  She then noticed how he was looking in the direction of Ta'pez and K'Hare.  Her eyes narrowed slightly as she kept an eye on the fellow who was spying on them.

With her skills of lip reading, she caught parts of what he was saying.  'I wonder why he's after K'Hare...And this... mirror universe?  What was all this about?' She thought to herself silently.  Somehow she felt that something fishy was going on, so she stood up and approached the person.

"Planning an invasion, are we??" She asked after she coughed to get his attention.  She kept her voice down in a hush.

Before the dinner:

Rear Admiral Durkis slowly made his way through the crowd of klingons.  He was both a little surprised and honored to be invited to the dinner.  Granted his position as founder and head judge put im in a position to be invited to many dinners that evening. However, it would have been easy enough for K'Hare to not invite him stating it was for the meH'Haj.  He would have excepted that without hesitation but was indeed honored to be there.

Wade noticed K'Hare talking with K'Grath off to the side.  It wasn't since some time after the first competition thta Wade and K'Grath had spoken.  K'Grath was a judge then and some help to Wade in that first year.  But as duties dictated, neither had seen each other since.  Wade would have to talk with him before the competition was over.

During Dinner:

Wade noticed what appeared to be a few surprised faces to see him digging into the live food quite readily.  They likely figured a starfleet human, particularly an admiral, wouldn't be used to eating Klingon food.  His days in the academy and many a meal with Khalin and the other Klingons on the Saturn however made him more used to it.  He would still take a steak and potatoe over anything else but he did appreciate a good Klingon meal.

It was after his second helping of ghew that Wade noticed another firmilar face.  He noticed G'trell his former Head Fighter pilot seating with some others across the room.  He hated to see her leave the Saturn and still wasn't sure why she did.  He couldn't help wonder if it was because the Saturn was not klingon enough. He would tell him that wasn't the case but as he saw her now he wasn't sure.

After dinner:

Wade watched with great anticipation the events unfolding between K'Hare and Ta'pez.  When K'hare's crew started to stand in support of him, Wade wanted to as well but thought it best not to at the moment.

As the head judge, part of him kept wanting to step in and stop this for it got to far.  But since he considered K'hare a friend he wouldn't dishonor him or the Klingon tradition by interfering.  Instead he watched intently and waited to see how things unfold.

G'Trell picked at her food not feeling all to hungery.  She listend to the chatter of the surrounding Klingons being sure to at least smile at some of their jokes.  She would rather be training,  she had never been big with croweds except for her marines that is.  She sighed at the thought of her treasured fighter still restting in the belly of the USS Saturn.  Some lucky piolt was most likely doing maintance on it,  keeping it tip top as she has drilled into their heads so many times.  She felt eyes on her again and looked around and caught a glimps of Rear Admiral Durk looking in her direction.  At the same moment some one poped a joke that caused her to look over at the teller and laugh.  When she looked back though the Admiral had turned his gaze else where.  She really wanted to speak with him.  To explaine her hasty departure from the Saturn.  But again they both seemed too engaged for the moment.  Perhaps later.  Yes Later would be best.  Then Chaos erupted and she watched in sielent aggitation as Khare and Tapez exchanged verbal blows.

OFF: I don't know who to murdalize first!

yoHDeS watched the escalation of tension between the current yaS ra'wI' of the meH'Haj, and the one called K'Hare.

She had heard of both of them but had never met either personally.  As the undercurrent in the room turned more and more forbidding she readied herself for the conflict that she was certain would erupt.

Her shock when Ta'pez and K'Hare were both found to be 'other' than fully Klingon was there, but it was not such a big surprise.  Most of the 'great' houses in the empire had dilluted their bloodlines at some time in the past, that was the way with great empires that took in other species with each section of space they conquered.

While both her mother and father came from supposed 'imperial' lines, yoHDeS had always been told that she was proof that somewhere in the past some diminutive alien race had been introduced into the bloodline and all the faults of that blood had come to roost on her doorstep.  She thought it was all so much tripe, but she could see how it could happen.

The thing that worried her most about this was the way it was affecting those in the crowd.  She could feel the tension, the anticipation, the almost joyful glee that everyone was feeling at the thought of having a knock down drag out fight right here.  Even though there were no betleHmey in the room, it would be bloody if it erupted, all of the Klingons carried their Daqtaghmey.

When K'Grath moved the table and challenged the two to face each other, she could do naught but appreciate his wisdom.  He diffused the crowd by reminding them that this was between the two males, a personal matter, and not something to embroil them all in a fight that would end badly.

DeS could support neither of them, so she had moved back and now stood on a table against a wall so she could watch what happened.

The implications of the half Betazoid left her the thought that she could see why the one called K'Hare would hate him so badly.  Who wanted another being, another Klingon reading their mind?  The very thought of someone seeing into a Klingon's mind was repugnant.  She would kill anyone who tried to read her mind without her knowledge if she ever found out about it.

When K'Hare was revealed to be one quarter Romulan she frowned even deeper.  He would accuse another, yet hid his own secret, but that was inconsistant with the K'Hare she had heard about from a young engineer who had come to her from the meH'Haj a time ago.

She stayed on her table, watching events unfold.

be'eQaraH was ready still to stand at the back of her commanding officer, even though now the fight had been brought back to a personal level by K'Grath.

She watched the crowd for any who might impose themself into the fight should it become physical, she would not allow any of the followers of the chang to give him an advantage.  No tricks or treason would be allowed by her.

The students watched her, and took their cue from her.  They to studied the crowd, watching.

QaraH's shock at the revelation of the terran Qel brought QaraH to her feet.  She felt shock and rage pound through her blood, rage directed at K'Hare, for decieving her.

Then she heard someone speaking to Ing who had been seated beside her.  She turned and saw the Commanding Officer of the Task Force that they were assigned to.  He was slightly inebriated from bloodwine, that much was obvious, but even with that he seemed to be thinking more clearly than she was.

"Ing, give him what he wants."  She then addressed the Admiral, "I am be'eQaraH, yaS wa'DIch (First Officer)  of Klach D'kel Brakt.  What do you wish me to do?"

Her blood thrummed through her veins, she was ready for action.

K’Hare looked at the human doctor confused then heard and saw all the reactions but he didn’t react at first.  It was too surreal.  What would be the point of this… to have him killed in a riot?

He looked over at ta’pez, no longer an enemy.  “We only just ended our conflict.  Do not start it up again without being sure it is what you want."  No one needed the skills of a betazed to see how angry he was.  He looked each of the close warriors in the eye to defy them moving forward.

When he was satisfied none would step up, he yelled over the murmur toward his crew.  “QaraH, come here.”

She was uncertain but it seemed like him.  She had served with him for over two years, but this seemed like him.  She wanted to yell, ‘show me your ears’, but such a thing could be altered easily enough.  Ta’pez had proved that and more.

QaraH looked at Taylor then moved toward the dias, but stayed well back out of K'Hare's reach.  Her Daqtagh was drawn and ready.  She was suspicious of him, wary, but stalling him would give the Admiral and Ing time to do whatever it is that they have to do.

K’Hare addressed the room.  "I do not know what kind of trick this is... ", then to QaraH, "but you are my second, so my actions are your responsibility to guard."

As if on cue the station security team ran forward and onto the stage.  K’Hare looked at Taylor, "I understand the need for that, but if you want me to go quietly, hold them for a moment"

Taylor considered.  The only escape was transport and the station was guarded.  If this was the enemy he could get around that, but this was unplanned.  Better to let this play out.  He held up a hand to hold back security for the moment.

The anticipation in the room could be felt and it only grew when K'Hare reached for his blade.  The security officers draw and aimed but K’Hare smoothly draw and threw his weapon to his XO’s feet.   "QaraH, do you still have the hand scanner?"

She nodded and used the hand without her blade in it to take if from a pouch on her belt, leaving his dagger where it is on the ground.  "I have it."

"And?"

She held it up so she could look at it without losing sight of K'Hare and activated it.  "It says that you are the one with the location device in you.”  She continued, “but at the time you gave this to me, you said it could be fooled."

"Of course, I am an Engineer.”  Many who knew him couldn’t help but smile.  That was just what K’Hare would say.  “But it does confirm that I am the same K'Hare that has been with you since we left KDB, since before, does it not?"

She nodded.  "It does."

He looked at ta'pez, “The same one that was on the station when YOU encountered the fake.”  He looked back forward to address the room.  “I am K’Hare”.

As the Klingon K'Hare spoke, DeS had hopped off the table and moved to where she could watch the 'debate' from the front.

She looked at T'Lai then glanced at K'Hare.  "Most Klingons do not have medical scans taken of them.  Even when there was a threat from the Changelings we resisted such invasions as unnecessary.  A few drops of blood let fall from the fist was enough to confirm or deny if you were or were not a replacement."

She watched as the male nodded at her, indicating that he had never had a medical scan, just like most warriors of the Empire had not.

It would explain why he did not know what his blood would show.

The Qel called Kur'rk stood and shouted, " I was his CMO for over  year.  I never scanned him.  I only treated him once, at the last betleH tourney."  He then told the story of how K'Hare had a piece of the blade of a Daqtagh stuck in his back and that K'Hare came to him because he could not reach it to pull it out himself.

yoHDeS stood then, watching to see what would happen next.

Ing swore under his breath. His crewmates next to him thought it sounded vaguely Bajoran. Quickly, Ing brought out a piece of hardware from the bag he always carried with him, and pointed it towards K'Hare. It appeared to be scanning the totlh, but was much larger than a standard tricorder.

Dan wrote:

"Check for a quantum flux in his RNA - if he's from a mirror universe, one will appear," Ing replied immediately. "But if he's been here for long enough, it would have faded." Ing consulted his device, "That would take roughly 6 months."

"We also know that the version ta'pez fought had prominent Romulan ears - I'm sure you've seen the flyers. Check his ears for recent surgeries or  other alterations, if he's the one who ta'pez encountered, they would have to have been recently altered." Ing thought for a moment. "Check with be'eQaraH to ensure that we warned Xavier to monitor for signs of subspace transport. Assuming we did, we should know that the K'Hare's couldn't have been swapped by such means. And I think K'Hare's been talking with old comrades all day, they would have been able to tell if he was unfamiliar with any of the historical events in this universe. So if he hasn't been out of their sight, and knows all the right details, he's our totlh."

Taylor digested the information he had been given as they both heard be'eQaraH confirm the existence of the locator beacon.

Ing nodded in her direction indicating that he had already known what the result swould be. "Also, run a DNA expression projection from K'Hare's DNA. It will take time, but it will tell us if this K'Hare would ever grow Romulan ears in the first place."

((This JP happens just before the fight..))

G'Trell felt her face burn as her eyes narrowed on Khare and Tapez. Her son Tarlin had behaved better than that before his death and he had been barely five. She took a breath and calmed herself. There was no need to let herself get drawn into it as well. She honestly didn't see what the fuss was about. If they wanted to insult eachother why not just resort to childish name calling it would be more amusing. She smiled as she thought of the effect on the room if tapez would just come out and call Khare a "pointed earred Tribble." Her anger saited she figired it was time for a disgret exit. She excused her self from M'Rek's company and made her way to the door where she spotted T'Lai. The gleem in the womans eyes reflected the smoldering anger she hid.

T'lai was too tied up in how angry she was at her house brother, that she didn't notice G'Trell approach her. She was still very dissipointed with Ta'pez and how he made himself look like a fool. She was going to give him a good talking to when they was alone.

G'Trell debated on speaking to the woman. After there last bout she was not sure where she stood with her. But she was curious as to what T'Lai thought of this "mess". She stood next to her and cleared her throat alittle. "So which one do you think diserves the spanking?"

T'lai made a huff. Her arms remained in a crossed position. "They both do." She retorted. It was evident she wasn't pleased with either of the two klingon men.

G'Trell chuckled " I might be able to bend that big one over" She pointed to Khare. "I guess that leaves you HoD Ta'pez." She smiled. "You think you can handle that?"

T'lai blinked at G'Trell. "You're strange." She simply commented.

G'Trell's smile grew " I know."

"15 years amongst humans will do that to any one"

"Good thing I chose not to go with that pack of humans that insisted I join the federation, 10 years ago." She grumbled. T'lai motioned to an empty chair. "Have a seat... or stand... which ever you prefer." She suggested.

G'Trell shook her head. " Actually I am on my way out of this three ring cirus, before it get ugly. I would hate to have to take out all the competion before the bouts have even begun." Her face became a little more serious. "Besides I have my own demons to deal with, with out dealing or careing about anyone elses. I am not racail so I find this bickering pointless to all ends."

T'lai nodded. "Understandable... How ever this argument is more than just common bickering. Their hatred amongst each other has been around for many many years. I believe they hold a personal grudge against each other for personal reasons." She commented.

G'Trell waved a hand dismisivly. " That hate blinds them to the point where they cant see what they have to offer one anther. They are both flawed...so they have taken the time to painstakingly point ot to everyone else. But what they cant see past is that there is more to being Klingon than whats in your blood. I know humans who walk as tall and strong as any of our kind. Being Klingon is a feeling a spirit that is what sets us apart from every other race. *She looks over at the two men facing down* They could do great things together if they would just see."

T'lai nodded. "A smart one you are." She commented. "How ever a fool to think of yourself superior to all other beings." She said.

G'Trell could not help but chuckle. "I didn't say I was supeior. Just diffrent...Which seems to be the cause of all this fuss in front of us. Good evening T'lai." G'Trell turned to leave.

"Good evening to you as well." She replied and watched her leave.

K'Tar stood as he noticed the other Klingon, supporting K'Hare standing.  K'Tar kept his hand near the hilt of his dk'tagh, ready to draw it if needed.  If any Klingon moved to attack his HoD, even this K'Hare, they would regret it with their life.

M'Rek had been surprised upon hearing that Ta'pez was half Betazed, but unlike other's in the room he remained calm and thoughtful.  Then as he listened to the way the others responded he knew where he stood in the matter and felt his blood burn at the insult that the others delivered to his HoD.

In the short time he had been a member of his HoD's crew he had seen what Ta'pez truly was.  He had seen the spirit of his HoD.  There was fire that showed in the eyes even when the outside was calm.  As now fire showed in M'Rek's golden brown eyes as he took to his HoD's side.  He had seen what Ta'pez was in heart and spirit and did not care what genes made up his HoD as long as his HoD head the heart and spirit of a Klingon.   And just now Ta'pez had shown his Klingon spirit by not backing down from a challenge, even at the risk of his own humility.

The Large Hirogen/Klingon's firey eyes glared at each one who would dare insult his HoD's honor as he stood on the oposite side of his HoD from K'Tar, so that Ta'pez now was framed by his weHwI' who would not fight the battles for the HoD but fight with him.  "An insult on my HoD's Honor, is an insult on my own and every member of his crew!"  He growled out... His eyes daring anyone to challenge his belief...

yoHDeS almost laughed at the three warriors who stepped up to stand with Ta'pez.  Evidently they did not understand what K'Grath had done by bringing it back to a personal level, nor did they apparently understand how repugnant it was for a Klingon to have their mind read, the implication of Ta'pez being half Betazoid was much greater than they apparently realized.

Personally, DeS thought that K'Hare had it much harder than the other male.  She could tell by the look in his eyes that his heritage was as much a surprise to him as it was to apparently everyone else.  Ta'pez had known what he was from birth, not so with the totlh apparently.

The diminutive Klingon female had learned much in her 27 years, much of it had been taught the hard way, but she had learned it.  She did not know all of the facts of this matter, and so it was not her place to insert herself into it.  Never-the-less, she remained where she was, determined to use her cool head to prevent an all out war if it looked to be about to start.  She hoped K'Grath would again step in and calm those who backed Ta'pez down.

When Ta'pez's warriors began inserting themselves into things she growled, not able to keep herself from speaking.

"Back" Ta'pez said. " This is mine to solve"

She sneered at Ta'pez, but let it be, and she would solve it for him if he did not tell them exactly how foolish they were being.

She had not moved to stand with K'Hare, but the look she shot him made it clear where she stood, and that was at his back, as she always had.

He gave them an agry look and then  turned his attention towards his real enemy.  "K'Hare has a few questions to answer to us all."  He stepped closer positioning himself towards better to speak to all of the klingons. From K'Hare he sensed a row of hatred and anger, he could not tell who it was directed to. Was the tolth engry at being accused of being a duplicate or perhaps  he was angry that his duplicity was discovered.

"There is deciet in this room,  it fouls the event and the stench is all around you" Ta'pez spoke looking at both the tolth and his yaS wa'DIch.

Barnard, the station’s chief of security, was unhappy, though that feeling didn’t show through in either her rigid, commanding stance or her cold, watchful gaze.

There were many reasons for this, but the most immediate was that she was here, watching what could very well turn into a full-scale brawl, and she had to be neutral about it. Diplomatic. She had come with the group personally because of the high profile of those gathered here. The thought of trying to be diplomatic in any possible confrontation with them seemed a difficult prospect at best.

On one hand, if a riot did start, wading in and bashing a few skulls might actually make her feel better in some ways, but she couldn’t let that happen. She understood the importance of order. She didn’t understand exactly what all the uproar was about – she’d only heard what they’d been told over the comm. badge and the sounds garnered from the background – but she didn’t plan on ignoring a call from a Rear Admiral. There seemed to be a lot of them floating around these days.

Now accusations and threats – or the next thing to threats – were still being passed back and forth. There was no fighting though, not yet. The officers with her stayed where they were, watching, alert but not acting – not until she gave them an order, a gesture, something of the kind.

For now, they watched and waited, in case things got out of hand.

OFF: let K'Hare respond to this one

K'Hare looked at the three underlings of ta'pez and almost laughed.  There was little room on this stage for the crowd around ta'pez and the table and the honored guests who had stood back.

He looked at ta'pez.  "I told you that the issues between you and I were in the past... that I would now judge you solely on your actions starting today.  Reign in your targhmey, before I must act."

Without pause, he turned to the one who had insulted him.  "Pup, if you take issue with me, then face me, but whatever I am, I know my job.  You show either your dishonor or your ignorance standing up here.  The job of a body guard is to prevent assassination, not a challenge.  There is no reason for you to stand there."

K'Hare turned his back on them and started walking off the stage.  As he left he addressed the two security officers.  "Come on boys, let's go figure this out somewhere less crowded."

He exited the large room with be'eQarah, armed, at his back, the two security officers and Taylor and some of his crew following behind.

G'Trell had heard enough.  Ta'Pez HoD had basically excused her from this mess and she was more than happy for it.  Shaking her head in discussed she made for the door not being to gentle as she moved through the crowd to the door. “pup”  She was openly insulted.  Let them have there tiff.  She had fulfilled her duty bottom line and this Khare had no place telling HER what it was.  She had spoken her piece. If they where to ignorant to hear the logic so be it.  What hurt most though was the open disrespect from her HoD.  Pushing through the door she headed to the training room to let off some steam.

OFF: Actually I think K'Hare was refering to K'Tar who was openly disrespectful to one of such higher rank and experience than he, that if this was not a Federation base, he would likely have been gutted on the spot, no matter what sort of revelation provoked his outburst.

This is getting quite fun now, to bad I can't get my character embroiled in this mess. :)

OFF:  Well G'Trell is glad to be done with it for now .  She may beable to channle this anger in her first bout.  Depends on how quickly Ta'pez HoD clears his slate with her.  She is more mad at him right now then ether of them.   :)

Becareful who's toes you step on before your bouts.  You may just hang yourself.    ;D  -word to the wise- why fight with honor against a man who has none or shows none whatever the case.   No insult intended.

Ta'pez swore under his breath, who was that dirt farmer anyways to dismiss him like some servant. This was not over, it was just beggining.

He turned around angrily towards his weHwI', their lack of discipline had angered him, yet at the same time they had shown their loyalty, and Ta'pez valued loyalty over all else among his crew.

tbc...

OFF:  K'Tar is a grown man, he can suffer the consequenses of his actions.

In the confusion, Ing circumspectly approached K'Grath. Remembering his training in interacting with Klingons, Ing steeled himself.

"K'Grath totlh. You spent most of the afternoon in K'Hare's company. There is some concern that he could be an imposter. If he has not been out of your company in the past few hours, and you have discussed details in that time which an imposter would not know, your attesting to that would go a long ways towards clearing him."

Ing was still holding his odd piece of equipment. He had to consciously restrain himself from fiddling with it, it was important to appear decisive.

He hoped to get K'Grath to accompany the group with K'Hare to station security.

Ness took a sigh of relief, throughout the incident he had continually thought, his d'k tahg was right in a place he could reach it.  If his HoD had come into any danger, he would've attacked K'Hare or anyone else who threatened him.  He knew it would have been probably be a futile attempt, against someone like K'Hare, but he would've tried had it escalated further.

Ta'pez wanted to return to drinking that night, after all the exitement he felt empty and annoyed.

However PoQ came into the room obviously wishing to speak to him.

Ta'pez motioned for him to come forth and after a a few exchanged sentences Ta'pez simply nodded and turned towards the rest of the guests seated at the table.

"Thank you for your company tonight, but there are important matters I must handle eslewhere."
Ta'pez said.

The warriors nodded bade Ta'pez away and returned their attention to their bloodwine.

Ta'pez turned around and left the Hall with PoQ.

OFF:

I didn't want to post for K'Grath since he is a PC but he would do something.

ON:

"Ing, your loyalty is reassuring.  K'Hare's interest in you seems warrented."  K'Grath considered the words of the student.  "You are correct.  Let's go."

OFF:

Does anyone from the station want to resolve this?  If so, start a scene where station security has K'Hare in custody.  Otherwise, I will do something with Taylor.  (He is sick so isn't posting as often.  Be careful tagging him.)

Valren, Wade, want to get involved?

Taylor watched as the Klingon who had tried to speak with him earlier lost her temper, shouting she demanded nearly everyone leave the room. He had to agree with her sentiment even if he wasn’t keen on the way she expressed it.

“I must agree with the sentiment, this is not a matter for all and sundry to be involved in. However I think that it is we who should leave not everyone else” He motioned towards Tlai, K’Hare and the others still in the room “We will retire to another location to solve this issue, perhaps the security centre would be a better place for this? I’m sure our host will want to be involved in this.”

He turned away and took a step towards the door before turning back "Everyone else should stay and enjoy whats left of the meal"

OOC:

They posted it, people read it, people responded.  A minor edit is one thing, but I know I will remember the actions and may act on them later.

If people start removing posts and changing the past while others have reacted, we can't have a cohesive story.

We all do things and want to take them back... call it too much bloodwine.

yoHDeS watched the totlh leave, security, his yaS'waDIch and some station personnell with him.  She let her dark eyes scan everyone who was left then she decided to depart as well.

The party began to break up after the excitement, and DeS was not anywhere near being done drinking as of yet

She decided to find a bar and a barrel, or a jug, or whatever they put bloodwine in on a Federation base and see if she could stir up some conversation with someone interesting.

OFF: Going to the Legion..
