Title: Kayton vs Bernard Post by AJ_Bernard on Feb 11th, 2005, 9:18pm ON: AJ Bernard walked around with a small headache from the bloodwine. He wondered where he had fallen asleep last night. He decided it didn't matter as long as he's fine and decided to keep walking. AJ walked into an empty circle where a match will be played later on in the day. He wondered about his opponent. A Romulan vs. a Human. Could be worse, coulda been Human vs. Klingon to start off. AJ Just felt lucky to be allowed to show his full potential to his CO Rear Admiral Durkis. Rihan Kayton walked into the room and noticed a circle in the middle and a human male standing there and thinking this must be his opponent for the practice round and then looks at the name on the padd and its AJ Bernard and walks over to him to greet him and hoping to impress his CO Rear Admiral Yuri Denton Bernard: Oh Hello, I'm guessing you're Rihan Kayton, my opponent for round 1. Kayton: Hi there you guess right don’t forget this is just a practice round. Bernard: I'm still not too familiar with the rounds. First time here. Kayton: ah basically we are just seeing how we are going how our fighting skills are and test our strengths and weakness’ Bernard: How about a little test right now. You and me, just for practice. Kayton: Yea I’ll be up for a practice round. Just one though I’m gonna go grab some food later wanna join me after the practice match? Bernard: Sure, sounds good. AJ grabs a bet'leH off the wall and enters the circle. Rihan grabs a bet'leh off the opposite and starts to face his opponents and wishes him good luck and don’t get carried away with the practice round. Bernard: Good Luck. Kayton: Good luck indeed, just curious have you fought like this before? Bernard: That's classified. AJ winks at Rihan and goes into fighting position. Rihan gets into fighting position and wonders if the wink was a good thing or a bad thing. Bernard: Bring it! Kayton: All right you want it, come and get it! AJ continues to twirl his bet’leH. Rihan twirls his bet’leH and swings it towards Bernard and almost knocks him to his feet but he gets back up. AJ swings back, making the Romulan move back a bit in shock. Bernard: Nice hit. Kayton: Thanks. Bernard: I think you'll see I'm full of tricks. Kayton: Ok if ya wanna play that way we can and will. At that moment he took his bat’leH and swung and hit Bernard and knocked him to the floor and surprisingly that didn’t affect him as much as the last hit. Kayton: Take that! AJ gets back up and swings and almost knocks Rihan's and his own bet'leH out of their hands. AJ grabbed his again and took a second swing right away. Rihan already had his grip and knocked AJ's bet'leH out of his hands. Bernard: *puffs* darnit! After Rihan knocked the bet’leH out of AJ’s hands he gets his breath and tells him what a good job he did for the practice round. Kayton: If this would have been the real thing, I would have gone a lot harder on you. Bernard: Same here. Not gonna show you my trick just yet. AJ winks at Rihan again. Title: Re: Kayton vs Bernard Post by K`Hare totlh on Feb 11th, 2005, 10:30pm OOC I am moving this to the previous time as a practice between these too. The freebie match is not a practice match in character. In character it is a match like any other. Think of it as the round of 64. You have each fought a few fights to get this far. The 'freebie' match is your last fight before the round of 32. It is just against an NPC so you are guarenteed a win. When I suggested you might have it against another PC, I meant that maybe one of the attendees could be someone who was competing and was sent out by you. For instance, be'thal is a character on my ship. No reason for her not to fight except her player has a different character in the tourney. So she could be someone who had lost earlier. Just to have the in character rivalry. |

Title: Re: Kayton vs Bernard Post by K`Hare totlh on Feb 12th, 2005, 12:19am No problem. Its hard to remember that there are some new people. Last year there just seemed to be more time to prepare and emails and BF forum talk explained a lot. Next year we can copy the Rules and Questions over to the 4th annual betleH site and it should be more complete... plus all you new people from this year will help explain it to the new people next year... right? |
Title: Re: Kayton vs Bernard Post by AJ_Bernard on Feb 12th, 2005, 1:51am oh most definately...now I just gotta get me that "Ships Champion" or "Tournament Champion" belt lol then I'll be set...and will have to come back :P |
Title: Re: Kayton vs Bernard Post by gtrell on Feb 12th, 2005, 11:51am ;D Great post though. Hope you become a regular here at the batletH tourney. Thinks will start to become just second nature too you. I remeber the first year was nothing but Chaos form me because not only was it my first tourney but I had only been playing G'Trell for about two weeks. Its a great charater builder. :) |
Title: Re: Kayton vs Bernard Post by AJ_Bernard on Feb 12th, 2005, 2:34pm I've been in BF for 2 years (with this character) so posting is so easy for this character now. And I do still find this abit of chaos. (not being used to all these story splits here) Hard to know where to post sometimes. |
Title: Re: Kayton vs Bernard Post by Dan on Feb 12th, 2005, 3:25pm OFF: So many OOC posts in one IC thread! I'd suggest picking one 'storyline' and following that through the threads. Just like I'm only activly taking part in the K'Hare related threads (And perhaps a Meh'haj one if the Klingon lady I ignored takes offence. ~Dan |
Title: Re: Kayton vs Bernard Post by K`Hare totlh on Feb 12th, 2005, 4:39pm OFF: What he said. I posted it somewhere in the rules but as a guideline, try to be in just one thread per area unless one of them is clearly just a passing through kind of thing. But the complexity of so many cross stories is part of what makes this event special. |
