Title: An olive branch
Post by K`Hare totlh on Feb 12th, 2005, 4:49pm

OFF:

This is a very short scene right before the comabat start (or at the end of the time span of this section).

It happens right before K'Hare does to the first round of matches (I am assuming he isn't being locked up... I hope).

ON:

K'Hare took the lift down to the main tournament level.  He was glad the immediate issues had been worked out.  He was still confused about the situation but he had duties to perform and no time to attack his own problems.

As the elevator moved to his destination he made a call.  -/\-  K'Hare to be'thal:  Meet me at the security elevator for the VIP section.  I need to speak to you briefly.  -/\-

He exited the lift and stepped clear of the security.  He saw all the movement of people going to the matches and smiled... this event was getting the popularity it deserved.

=/\= Be'thal =/\=  I'll be right there, Be'thal out. =/\=

Be'thal switched into a new armor as her last one was quiet dirty. She was wondering what the tolth' had wished from her now.

She had been furious at both Ta'pez and K'Hare, their confrontation had  messed up her plans considerably.

She packed her meQ'leth blades into her armor and left her quaters.

< a few minutes later>

She entered the meeting place, it was one of those annoying federation spaces, they all looked the same to here.

She walked up cooly to K'Hare and  greeted him.

"Greetings K'Hare" be'thal said.

OFF:

Now I am a tolth... well, close enough.

ON:

"be'thal, I have heard of the attack on your House."   He waved down the objection before she could verbalize it.  "I have been in conflict with ta'pez for a long time now... so long it is difficult to react otherwise.  I understand the demands this event will put on you, on him, on your House.  I also understand your personal needs for answers and I suspect you will not rest until you have found them."

He saw the confusion on her face but didn't stop to consider it.  "So, you are relieved of your duties until such time as you are ready to continue them.  Ask for whatever you need in this investigation and I will provide it if I can."

He paused again, looking for the words.  "I know that you and ta'pez are not the best of friends but go in this time of need and strengthen the bonds of your House.  And let him know I am ready to help if I can.  I still do not like him and I doubt we can be friends... but I stand by my statement.  I will judge him for his future acts and treat him as a Klingon until he proves otherwise."

Be'thal disliked the tone and demear of this, yet fought for calm and control. To hold her tongue, she knew she must, would mean no secret of her own would slip. It was too early to say anything that could have impact on the developments.

"Your consideration is apreciated." Be'thal said."I will be taking my fathers ship."

The two locked at each other before continuing.

"As for Ta'pez, we all have been playing the cards for a while now." she continued. She chuckled, but there was an underlying note of cynisism.

"Fate has interesting way of challanging us, does it not?" she said.

Her tone was odd but he thought she was just distracted by the current problems in her House. "I suppose.  Now I must go attend to my duties and you have personal ones of your own."

He nodded and left, his security escort in tow.

Be'thal nodded and walked off, she wondered whether she should tell Ta'pez about her conversation with K'Hare.

It was too early for her to do so she concluded.  If she were to share this Ta'pez might label her as a pawn of K'Hare.
