Title: The Bookie Post by Ta`pez HoD on Feb 15th, 2005, 1:07pm ok we are going to do this OOC everybody will be getting 50 credits to bet. since round 32 is already in the process we ll skip it. so put your wagers on round 16 here. You can split your credits to different rounds. 1000 credits gets you Chang dagger of shame. Currently we have the following odds on T'lai vs Tank 1:1 T'apez vs Jack Green 4:1 Qol vs Talora 3:1 Kierran Odonell vs Reynolds 3:1 The rules : the payout will be based on the player bet ratio - if your bet wins and you were betting against 5 other players then you will recieve your bet *5 |

If that's the case, Ing, after observing the matches, calculatingly puts his entire 50 on Tank as a 2:1 underdog against T'lai. |

Title: Re: The Bookie Post by Ta`pez HoD on Feb 17th, 2005, 12:46am rather then assesing the ods of winning - everytime a player bets on Ta'pez the payout grows smaller - i.e another number is added to Ta'pez. so the ultimate thing you would bet against somebody likesay Green and then having an upset win with you cashing out on it. |

I'm not going to place any bets until I understand how this silly thing works. So, in each given match, the people who bet on the winner split the money placed on the loser in proportion to the amount they bet? In other words, if A fights B and I put 20 (out of a total of 100) on A, and a total of 50 were bet on B, then I would win (20/100)*50 = 10 credits. Is that right? What's the deadline for placing bets? |
