Kieran had donned his Intel Uniform (all black Klingon battle armor, no rank or House insignia), and was flexing in it, removing the tightness, as it had been awhile since he had worn it. Looking at himself in the mirror, he decided that he needed something more. He stepped over to his duffle and pulled out his House Insignia, and walked back to the mirror. He put the insignia of the House of Komar on his left upper arm and looked at himself in the mirror, and smiled; now he looked better.

Kieran left his quarters, with only his daq’tagh on his waist, and headed to his first battle. He had reviewed as much information as he was able to get on his opponent, from Starfleet records to security files that weren’t open to anyone but those with certain levels of clearance (it helped that Kieran worked in both Starfleet AND Klingon Intelligence and Strategic Operations). So, he had some idea about this opponent: one First Lieutennat Xian Jorgensson Tseng, Chief Operations Officer of Kovar Colony in Task Force 21 of the Fourth Fleet.

As he was reviewing in his mind the information he knew about Tseng, he walked, and soon found himself in front of the Wall of Honor. Taking his blade off the hook, he made his way to the arena where he would be fighting, to meet Tseng.

Previously on Room Delta-Delta-Six-One-Niner, Tseng wasted his time at the lounge few days drowning himself with spirits.

"Chief," said EA1 Edgen (NPC), "First Lieutenant is out!" With not much else to decide about, Chief Gates would have to declare to the judge that Tseng is unable to compete due to medical disqualification.

"Do you think we should give him a bit more time?" Edgen responded with regrets to disqualify another competitor.

Kieran stood around waiting for his opponent to show up. About 10 seconds before the disqualification point, a medic walks in and whispers something to the judge.

As the Judge steps forward, Kieran moves up the the ready position, to hear what the judge has to say. Once Kieran is in place, the Judge says, "Due to the uhm, medical disqualification of First Lieutenant Tseng, this match goes to Kieran, of the House of Komar."

Frustrated that Kieran did not get the chance to defeat his opponent in actual Combat, Kieran bows in resect to the judge and marches out to the Wall of Honor, to place his betleH in its new place, and then returns to watch the competition, to see and observe who his next opponent may be.
