Title: Aklev The Investigator Post by Ing The Puny on Feb 17th, 2005, 3:41am OFF: This post follows the novel-esque events from here (http://www.batlh.com/cgi-bin/betleHIII/YaBB.pl?board=Day1fa;action=display;num=1108159223). ON: Ing and Aklev arrived in the medical center. The morning rounds of the tournament were just getting started, and the staff were preparing for the flood of injured that would result. Ing asked where Khoal had been sent, and was directed to a private room where the badly injured Klingon-Romulan hybrid had been put. Once there, he gathered up the odd, chainmail-like armor that the man had been wearing. "Here is what K'Hare needs from you," Ing explained to Aklev, handing him the armor. "According to Q'olavraH, this stuff has some unusual properties. As protection, it's tough enough that the wearer can stop a betleH strike by grabbing the weapon. But more interesting are the active systems - it apparently contains some sort of stunner, and it also seemed to enhance the wearer's speed, and possibly strength as well. Or maybe just their reactions… You know how fast Q'ol is, she says armor of this kind made her opponent much faster than her." "We need to find out how this armor works. Whatever we are up against, this stuff seems standard issue for them. So an analysis of its capabilities, both offensive and defensive, would be good. K'Hare wants a report tomorrow morning, so find out as much as you can by then," Ing instructed Aklev. "I'll be here doing some genetics work on the doubles." OFF: <TAG Aklev, whoever else is in the med center before the matches> Yes, Ing is asking you to miss watching the competition in person. No, he doesn't seem to notice that he is doing so. But Ing is always inscrutable. Ing would have explained the situation on the way to the med center, enough to get across the urgency. |
