Title: roS -vs- Davidian The Manbeast
Post by roS`neQar on Feb 17th, 2005, 7:14pm

ON:

roS was feeling better after his chat with K'Hare in the bar but wanted to investigate his next opponent prior to his match with... roS checked his PADD... Davidian?

Hummm... wasn't he that guy who acted like a dog or something like that?

roS sat for a while longer looking up all he could on Davidian.

All he was able to find was a video of Davidian's last match as part of the tournament archive's.

Wasn't much to study as the match had been short and from a rather bad angle so roS moved off to get his Batleth and then headed over to the ring where he and Davidian were suppose to compete.

He arrived early... which was something he didn't like doing but he had overestimated the travel time.

Rather then just stand around roS stretched out and began doing various drills taught to him by be`eQaraH and K'Hare.

ON.
The Legion.

Davidian stretched his neck. The match with the Caitian was harder than he had expected. Now he had a hour break or so, before his next match. Mind you, that break started 50 minutes ago. Julianna sighed, then walked over to her brother.
"Right, I've just got the brackets for the next match. You're fighting a Klingon."
"Great." Davidian growled. He didn't fancy his chances up against a Klingon. Hell, last time he fought a Klingon, he died. Julianna had a smile on her face, however. Davidian raised an eyebrow, and looked at her.
"However, you beat the Klingon, roS, you have the opportunity to possibly face Fleet Admiral Wolfe."
Davidian choked. Fleet Admiral Wolfe? He had heard stories. Wolfe was the Fleet's Executive Officer. He was high admiralty. And if Davidian was to beat an admiralty member, the implications would be amazing.
Julianna went on. "Now, roS has been trained by K'Hare. Yes, that K'Hare, the one who is one of the people running this thing. I've been assured that the judges will be impartial, but I'd keep my wits about me, right?"

Davidian nodded.

"Good. Now, we've got a hour. How's your back?"

Davidian winced.

"Really? Ok, let's get that checked out." Julianna helped her brother up. Davidian pushed her away, and stood up, cracking his back. He closed his eyes, and focused on his back pain. One of the many things The Third Eye taught him was the ability to numb pain with his mind. He curled his back, and opened his eyes. The pain was gone, for now. After the next match, he would have to find someone with pain killers. He walked out of the Legion, and headed for the Arena. Another day, another match.

Reaching the arena, Davidian walked back into the Dressing room, and opened his locker. He decided this time that if his opponent was going to wear armour, he was going to do the opposite. He ripped off his tank-top, revealing his toned, tattooed, and slightly tanned torso. Julianna looked at her brother, and sighed.
"Are you sure that's a good idea? I mean he's a Klingon. He's going to be wearing ARMOUR. Those Bat'Leths are sharp. Davidian, You died once, don't do it again, please?"
Davidian didn't listen to reason. He could do this. It's not like they were going for blood, or death. He cracked his neck, and headed out of the Dressing room. Julianna just looked at her brother. All he was wearing was a pair of black shorts. It was nothing. She gulped, and headed out with him.
The announcer headed out to the middle of the arena, and cleared his throat.
"Ladies and Gentlemen," the announcer began, "our next match is a Round of 36 Match. Introducing first, From New Berlin, Weighing in at 216 pounds, representing the USS Mystic, and Task Force 58, DAVIDIAN!"
Davidian gulped. He was now representing a Bravo Fleet task force. He punched his fists together, and roared.

ON:

As Davidian approches the ring roS decides to climb in rather then wait.

Matching deed to though roS slips into the arena to await both the announcer and Davidian.

It didn't take either very long to get into position.

The announcer headed out to the middle of the arena, and cleared his throat.

"Ladies and Gentlemen," the announcer began, "our next match is a Round of 36 Match.

Introducing first, From New Berlin, Weighing in at 216 pounds, representing the USS Mystic, and Task Force 58, DAVIDIAN!"

ros blinked at the roar out of Davidian then decided to ignore him for now and just listened to the announcer.

And in this corner, weighing in at 280 pounds, representing the Klingon ship Hegh'ta is roS'neQar Ross McEwan.

ros raised his Batleth above his head and smiled before letting loose with a roar of his own and then winking at Davidian before lowing his batleth.

Only after he looked at Davidian to wink did roS realise that Davidian was wearing no armor... only a pair of shorts.

As he realized this he knew that it wouldn't be honorable for him to wear armor in this fight.

Besides... he couldn't let this human think he was braver then a klingon.

Ok you two here are the rules ...quick repeat of the rules... now how do you want this match to end? First blood, disarm or knockout?

As roS listened to the announcer speak he started removing his armor and throwing it out of the ring.

At first the croud wasn't sure what roS was doing when he threw the first piece of armor out but once they did the croud roared its approval.

After he was through he looked over at Davidian.

How about First blood?

Off: Davidian sent me this small piece in email so I am expanding it here.

ON:

Davidian gripped his Bat'leth, and scowled. "First Blood." He knew Julianna wouldn't like it, but he wanted a challenge.

roS nodded his head to Davidian after he threw out his last piece of armor.

The Referee noted both had agreeed to first blood.

This match will be decided by FIRST BLOOD... are you ready?

Davidian adjusted his grip on his Bat'Leth, and waited for the Referee to indicate the beginning of the match. He stretched his neck, and scowled again.

roS nodded he was ready as he dropped into a defensive posture facing Davidian as his blood roared through him and his excitment built.  This time it wasn't going to be some fake match.  He was either going to win or lose with honor!  This in mind roS's face lost all looks of banter and he fairly snarled at Davidian as he waited for the referee.

The Referee raised his hand, and looked at the two competitors. "BEGIN!"

Davidian got the early pounce, but was met with a hard block from roS, who jumped on the Attack. Davidian gulped. This was going to be harder than expected. He blocked constantly.

roS wove a wall of steel around Davidian after Davidian's first attacks... pushing him back with his greater strength and using his lower center of gravity to his advantage.  Block, move left and strike from the center... hooking up to force Davidian batleth higher.  Every strike was the focus of roS's power... hammering at Davidian to weaken his grip on his batleth.

Each move calculated to lift Davidian's guard higher and higher.  Blow after blow roS hammered at Davidian till both of them were sweating.  The ring of their blades were like a set of temple bell's and the sparks of impact almost blinding at times.

Somehow Davidian managed to keep roS blade from his skin despite everything roS tried... despite all he had learned over the last year.

roS was growing tired and frustrated by his seeming inability to end this match... he could feel he was better then Davidian  but Davidian kept evading him!

roS then took a hard step back to throw off Davidian's next attack before jumping back in at him when he stumbled with an all at strike at his batleth.

roS released all his fury from his last match into his strike at Davidian's batleth.

The force of the strike numbed roS's hand's up to his elbows.

OFF: Seems Davidian vanished and I will have to finish this post as best I can.

I am not happy about this...

OFF:

Before Davidian vanished we had agreed that he would win but in a dishonarable way.  So here is my best attempt at finishing this fight.

ON:

Davidian reeled under the impact of roS's batleth on his own caught completely off guard by the power of the blow.

Davidian tried to roll with the blow but it had come to fast and with too much power and it ripped the batleth from his hands to send it flying across the ring.

roS watched as his stike went home and Davidian lost his batleth... but instead of attacking when his foe was unarmed roS decided to step back and wait while Davidian retrieved his blade.

Davidian growled his fury at the loss of his batleth as he came to his feet.  losing control of himself Davidian pounced on roS even as roS stepped back.

Davidian failed to realise that roS was going to allow him to get his batleth.

Davidian slashed at both roS's throat and face with his claws leaving bloody tracks in there wake.

roS screamed in pain and shock from this surprise attack.  roS had not been prepared for such an attack and barely managed to arch his body back far enough not to have his jugular or eyes put out by Davidian's attack.

roS staggered backwards trying to fend Davidian off from killing him.  Blood was flowing freely into his eyes and down his chest.

Davidian felt his enemy stagger out from under his claws and grabbed at roS's batleth.  He wrenched roS's batleth from his hands and swung it at him in absolute fury... not caring if he killed the klingon.

roS felt his batleth being ripped from his hands and threw himself backwards in a desperate attempt to get beyond the reach of this insane animal before it could kill him.

Even throwing himself backwards roS was not able to completely avoid the tip of the blade as it sliced past him.

roS grunted in pain as the tip ripped its way across his chest scoring a deep cut just below his neck.

Had he been a split second slower he would have died!

roS rolled back to his feet racking his arm across his face in a desperat attempt to clear his eyes from the blood which was streaming down into them.

Clearing his eyes just in time to see Davidian swinging another blow at roS's head.

roS quickly leaned to the side allowing the blade to pass through the air where he had been but a split second before... again he was not quite fast enough to avoid the batleth but that wasn't his intent.

From this position he was able to lash out at Davidian with the full power of his leg in a side kick and smash Davidian in the solar plexus.

Davidian folded over roS's leg as the air crashed out of his lung's.

As Davidian bent foward roS quickly followed his kick by grabbing Davidian arm just above his grip on the batleth.

Once he had a grip roS dropped with his foot still wedged in Davidian solar plexus to flip Davidian up and over him.

Ros didn't release Davidian but continued the roll to slam Davidian face first into the floor.

roS used Davidian's own weight to pull roS back up and over to land on Davidian chest.

From here roS was able to unleash a flury of punchs that completed the work started by Davidian hitting the floor.

At this point security crashed down on roS ripping him off of Davidian's chest.

From under the pile of security roS heard the judges awarding Davidian the match.
