Title: Green vs Murphy Post by Vice_Admiral_Pike on Feb 17th, 2005, 8:00pm ON: Bat'leth tournament There was a traditional Klingon honor gaurd that escorted the contestants in to the arena. The large auditorium was pack, with beings from all over the galexy. Most wer Federation officers, and of course there were a higher number of Klingon's in attendance. The contestants flanked on either side by their gards, entered from either side of the arena. The progressed to the middle where there was an elderly ranking Klingon. Slamming his staff to the ground three times, brought the dinn of the croud to a hush. The Elder Klingon spoke in Klingonees (universal translator)......"In the red corner, representing Task Force 9, Commanding Officer of the USS Defender, Captain, Edward James, from the House of Murphy". The crowd erupts in applause....Three more raps from his staff " In the blue corner, representing Task Force 44, from the USS Peacemaker, Seargant Jack Duke, of the House of Green". Another round of applause and cheers. Elder: Contestants salute! Murphy and Green face each other as in tradition, salute each other as the Elder backed away, then turning toward the Elder, salute him. Elder: Begin! Green snaps to a firthing stance as does Murphy a bit slower. The two begin to circle one another, each measuring one another. Green, as a mass of ripling muscles. Obvious this Marine worked out constantly. Green: Captin, dis may hurt (he said in a thick austiran accent) Murphy: I'm not worried about being hit. Green: Nine Captain, I vas talking about the loss. Murphy swung his Bat'leth more like a staff then an edged weapon with Green easily blocking the attack and rolling away. Murphy: Tuche Seargant. Nice move. Green: Tank you Sir. You may vant to lower you veapon a bit. Murphy: (looks to see where exactly he was holding the weapon, and moves just in time to avoid Greens attack and swingss wildly in response catching only air) Your quick. I'll have to remeber that move. Green: I vas serious, but you got distracted. Adapt, overcome, and use da situation to you advantage. Murphy: Sounds like a Marine all right. Green: Your left mid section vill be your undoing. Murphy: Sorry, not falling for that one......nuts Green charged, rolling to his left, swinging to the Caotains right drawing his bat'leth up. With a skilled move Green folded his bat'leth down and around round house stly to the Captains left mid section scoring a direct hit and kill. Murphy: (as the applause grew) Owe. Nice move Seargant. Green: Text book K'mpec manuver Sir. Murphy: What ever move it was, it was good. Looks like I owe you a beer. OFF: That's all I got, hope it works for you, feel free to add or delete. Here is my bye line Seargant Major Jack "Duke" Green USS Peacemaker NCC-1962-C SFMC 33rd MEU (SOC) Pathfinder CO This is an email sent to Murphy to which he has not responded, I gave Pike the go ahead to post as it is getting late -- Valren Arelwynn |
