Title: Feelin' Blue?
Post by Falco_Tauvits on Feb 17th, 2005, 11:10pm

New topic, I'd invite many of the bar conversations to converge here. As it's getting scattered?

Co-post from Falco Tauvits and Jake Ness

ON:

Ness held out his hand, "Jake Ness lagh'.  Nice to meet you."  The hand could have been for a handshake or help up.

Tauvits decided to make the most of both, shaking his hand firmly as he clambered the final few feet to stand upright. "Captain Falco Tauvits, master of the SS Theseus, at your service," he declared, a little over-enthusiastically. "I can't say I've run into many humans serving in the Klingon Defence Force in my time. It's not the most common of occurences." He eyed Ness's armour evaluatingly.

"Well, it's an interesting experience," Ness commented, "and at first you looked Andorian... but you don't seem to have any antannae."

"Half-Andorian. My mother was... is... something... Andorian," Tauvits stumbled, alcohol impeding logic and grammar. "No antennae, but bluenes, for sure."

"Ah, I see," Ness replied, "That's not the most common of occurances either."

"Long, medical story behind it. I never learnt it all. I don't think I dared ask." Tauvits gave an exaggerated shrug which he clearly seemed to think was the height of skill in topic evasion.

"Long, medical story behind it. I never learnt it all. I don't think I dared ask." Tauvits gave an exaggerated shrug which he clearly seemed to think was the height of skill in topic evasion.

"Well," Ness said, knowing that Tauvits wanted to change the subject, "anyway, you are CO of the S.S. Theseus?  What type of ship is that?"

"B'Rel class. We do odds and ends for... people who needs things done." Tauvits' evasive eloquence was suffering from bloodwine, and he thus decided he'd need more, nodding towards the bar as he headed for a refill, gesturing for Ness to follow. "My own ship, my own crew. Good amount of liberty there. What about yourself? Where are you stationed?"

"The I.K.S. meH'Haj," Ness answered, "a Negh'Var class ship.  I am Chief of Operations.  A big ship, so lots of things break in lots of places."  Ness laughed.

Tauvits chuckled. "Ah, so you're on Ta'pez HoD's ship. Good fellow." He got himself another tankard of bloodwine, and glanced at the other man. "You need a drink?"

"It's good stuff. Packs quite a punch." Tauvits chugged heartily from his tankard when it arrived, full again. "I mean, this is only my... what, my fourth pint? I should be doing better than this. Still, saves time. And goes down very well with Racht and targ heart. Though I guess you're used to Klingon food."

"I am still not used to it," Ness answered, "I brought along a Starfleet replicator just in case."

"So what got you onto a Klingon ship? Seems... unorthodox." Tauvits was impressed his mouth still wrapped around such a multi-syllabic word.

"I was 'interested in Klingon culture,'" Ness replied, "or at least that's my excuse."

"As good an excuse as any, indeed." Tauvits took another hefty swig.

A JP from Sajida Kajada and M'rek

ON:

After singing to her hearts content Sajida noticed Ness walking off with a blue man and an empty barrel of bloodwine. She excused herself from G'Trell for a moment and followed Ness and inadvertenly pulling along M'Rek who was on his way to get more food and drink for himself.

"Come! We can get more bloodwine and food over at the...the....OVER THERE!" she said not being able to concentrate on her words. "I want to talk to that bluish person over there he seems like he could use more bloodwine to turn him red!"

M'Rek laughed and looked at the different alcohol.  There was something called Vulcan storm which for some reason seemed familiar..  He grabbed it and started to take a drink.  As soon as he took the first gulp he felt the burn, his eyes widened, but he loved it.  He mixed some in some bloodwine and took it with him as he went over to the blue man.

Holding onto M'rek for balance they made it to the bar and Sajida put her hand on Tauvits shoulder who groggily turned to see her. Clearing her throat she slammed her mug on the bar and spoke to Tauvits "You look like you could use more bloodwine my blue friend! But our barrel is out! I'll get you a mug too....now where is that barman?? M'rek where is he!!"

M'rek calls out to the bartender to bring them some fresh bloodwine and Sajida manages to get a barstool next to Tauvits while waving at Ness on the other end with his water. "So! Tell me how did you turn so blue after drinking all that bloodwine?" Sajida asked Tauvits while laughing up a storm.

ON:

Tauvits grinned at the appearance of more bloodwine, and helped himself to another sizeable gulp from the tankard. He was just about getting to the stage where he could no longer feel his eyeballs in his skull. Definitely just as well he didn't have to wake up in the morning.

"The blue's natural, lass. All from Andorian stock. But perhaps I should neck a few more tankards of bloodwine, just to see if I can fix the blueness?" He raised his tankard again, smirking and nodding his thanks at the arrival of more bloodwine. He was quite pleased he'd hardly had to pay for any of this himself.

He took in the slight woman - half-Klingon, by his guess - and the larger Klingon man with features he couldn't quite place. "So, what are you two guys doing around here? Competitors, the both of you, or just sampling local produce?" He had another hefty swig of his own local produce, draining this tankard rather quickly.

"For myself I am just a humble half Klingon here to see my friend Kira fight and to meet some friends from the last tournament" Sajida said to Tauvits then she stopped and thought for a moment "Bah! I am starting to sound normal again!" she then grabbed the mug of bloodwine and saw Tauvits had a Tankard. Looking at her own she had the bartender bring her a full one and passed her mug to M'rek

M'rek: <?>

Turning to Tauvits she spoke up again "Now then what is your name my blue friend? You dont seem to have them little things coming out of your head if you are Andorian!"

Tauvits: <?>

"Half Andorian, actually." The repetition in two conversations in quick succession would have annoyed Tauvits had he not been quite so tipsy. "Other half, so-called normal human, so I just get the blueness that you see."

"And I would be Captain Falco Tauvits, master of the SS Theseus, finest ship this side of the centre of the galaxy, at your service!" He gave her a slightly silly and ostentatious bow, before reaching out his hand to offer a slightly more normal shake. "And yourself?"

M'Rek didn't grab the mug.  He was to busy drinking down what was now his 6th tankard of alcohol, this one having the Vulcan storm mixed in it.  He was not looking stright anymore.  He looked at the blue man and laughed.  For what reason.  He had no idea, he just laughed.  There was this silly little blue man laying on the floor.  Least he thought was little, was he?

M'Rek just laughed again and reached down and started to liftthe little blue man.  Had him in one arm but was not steady on his feet and started to weaver.

"Lieutenant Sajida Kajada soon to be Sajida Krezek of the USS Excalibur, Assistant CEO" she replied proudly to Tauvits while shaking his hand. "That's why all the free bloodwine is on G'Trell there it's an engagement celebration!!" Sajida said using her wobbly hand to point out G'Trell with T'lai at a far off table.

"Your ship sounds impressive Tauvits! What line of work are ya in? Cargo hauling??" she asked while downing some of the wine in the tankard "This tankard idea is smashing blue! Glad I thought of it!" she remarked smiling rather widely at Tauvits.

Scowling, still annoyed that he won his recent match against Tseng by default, Kieran, still in his Klingon Intel uniform, strode into the bar and found a seat in a corner where he could observe who came and who left. A server came up to him, and he quietly ordered a chech'tluth.

A few minutes later, the server returned with the steaming mug. Kieran sat back and quietly sipped his drink while watching the crowd develop and build.

"Engagement party... right... note to self... not to hit on her..." Tauvits mumbled, thankfully completely under his breath. "Tilia would kill you anyway, daft bugger..."

His own mumbling came to a halt as he looked up, active again. "Cargo hauling, sometimes... little bit of this, little bit of that. Odd jobs for those who need them done, that sort of thing. Whoever pays the right price for the right job, old Falco gets it done." He tried to tap his nose, and missed, before focusing on her again.

"And, yep, the tankards are a great idea. But what do you mean, you thought of... Woah!"

The 'woah' came from the hefty M'Rek suddenly reaching down and lifting him, apparently getting just as drunk as he and finding the idea to be fairly amusing. It also brought out a slightly more undignified yelp, and Tauvits flailed for a moment, arms stretched out, and only stopped resisting once his tankard was resting safely on the bar. Then his resistance was minimal.

"Whatcha doing?" was all he could weakly manage as his feet left the floor.

In Klingon with few Hirogen words thrown in M'Rek slured... "Llliittle bluue man...  show llliittle blue man too... tooo..."  He couldn't think of who.  He just laughed and turned around to go towards door.  Nope wrong way.  He turned different direction and ran into someone, couldn't tell who...

ON:

Sajida laughed at Tauvits being lifted off his barstool by a very happy and drunk M'Rek thinking he was hallucinating to some extent. Shaking her head she responded "Well you have one fan in the crowd Falco!"

G'Trell glanced over at the bar where Sajida and M'Rek had dissapeared too.  Her mug had long ago become empty and she was waitting for her friends to return with more booz.  Thats when she spotted the pair chattering away at a blue guy.  She gott up ingorning the minor pain in her chest she stumbled over.

Feeling someone slapping her shoulders Sajida turns around cradling her tankard in her hand and saw G'Trell. "Sister! Have you reached the bottom of the barrel too?? Let's get this bartender to bring out another so I can drown too..possibly go blue like this nice Falco here" she said patting him on his shoulder.

G'Trell looked at both of the blue men in her sights and then gave the center Sajida a look before busting out laughing. G'Trell stumbled back a step and was caught by M'Rek before she fell.
"I am G'Trell of no house worth mentioning, nice to meet you mr. Falco,"  she gasped trying to curb her laughter.

Tauvits: <?>

"She's a great friend of mines, I only wished I served on the same ship as her" raising her tankard to G'Trell. "As I was saying our barrel awaits! Where is it!! We must let Falco have some too he's my new drinkin' warrior..friend buddy..." she said trailing off.

G'Trell nodded and reached out to one of Falcos dangling hands and after a couple of misses she gripped it and shook it. "Try to good have night,  or something like that."

Sajida sniggering at G'Trell's comment spoke up again "You can't even see his hand! Then again I don't see the wiggly things on his head!" opening her eyes wide and then rubbing them. "Sooo what are we doing?" she asked G'Trell

G'Trell shook her head, " Is it me or is he blue?"

"I am G'Trell of no house worth mentioning, nice to meet you mr. Falco,"  she gasped trying to curb her laughter.

Tauvits took a few moments to regain his balance as he was finally set down by the giant M'Rek, and felt the bloodwine churn a little in his stomach from being dragged across the bar, quite literally. "Pleased to meet you... yeah, Falco, that's me name..." He shook his head, trying to clear it, then peered between the assorted individuals here. "Wait. G'Trell. We fought last year, didn't we?" He paused, remembering how shameful that had been. "I believe. Uh... you two know each other?" He gestured between G'Trell and Sajida.

[...snippity snip of conversation...]

G'Trell shook her head, " Is it me or is he blue?"

"Oh, I'm blue." Tauvits looked around, seeming hopeful at the idea of this barrel that had been promised. "No antennae either. Just half-Andorian." He faintly considered putting that on a sign he could wear around his neck. "It's not the alcohol getting to you. Unless you're seeing anyone else as being blue?" He frowned in a faint confusion, then turned back to the man who had carried him across the bar.

"And I don't believe I got your name, mate, you of the strong arms and fondness for the 'funny little blue man'?" He raised an eyebrow at M'Rek curiously.

M'Rek had put the blue man down as he grabbed another tankard of something blue from some where.  He laughed again and held out to the Little blue man as the blue man was talking to him.  "Is.. blluuee."  He laughed and gulped it down.  That the man was asking who he was finally registered and he answered...  "Umm...  Mrrreeek..."  He barely pronounced his own name.  "M'Rrreek."  He said again little closer to what it was.  Then again. "M'Rekkk."  He grunted...  and just went with that.

Apologies for scarpering, people, but I need sleep.

This tournament is not good for my internal clock. :P Oh, well, it's just as well I'm a lazy student.

ON:

"Pleased to meet you M'Rek," Tauvits managed, nodding firmly, shaking a large hand and quite glad he didn't receive a crushing handshake from the move. His stomach shifted around a little, and he glanced about the lounge. He had been drinking heavily on a fairly empty stomach, full only with snacks from the day and the Klingon food, which wasn't as satisfying as he might have liked.

He turned to the others. "I may have to be horribly rude, ladies, but if I don't want to die from excess bloodwine soon, I'm going to need to soak it up with some food. So I will have to abruptly and unkindly depart, and head out to find somewhere that serves something which might deal with the excessive amounts of alcohol in my belly." He smiled brightly, giving another one of his silly bows, bade his farewells, and then turned to go.

Then again, once he'd had some food and water and had settled down a little, it was hardly as if he wouldn't return. And then, perhaps, he could talk to certain people about slightly less frivolous matters.

But how he wished - wished, and wished - that he could just while away an evening without those serious matters looming overhead.

OFF:

And... Tauvits probably won't be found until my morning after my sleep, and until Late Night on the forums... ;)

Ta'pez decided to quietly excuse himself from the diner. He ignored the Master docksmith knowing that his culture would find it a positive notion and moved to the door.

Others, in less obvious places would monitor the people of interest for him and report later their findings.

He decided to retire to the wa'pach, PoQ was to brief him on the new developments in his investigation.

Ta'pez would have taken over the investigation himself but he needed a loyal figure doing the work that  would not be suspected on bias.

With that thought in mind Ta'pez quietly left the bar.
