Title: Finding The Way... (Intro: Kral, House of Mok) Post by M`rek on Feb 20th, 2005, 2:10am <JP done by me as Kral, XO of D'bloq and K'vok. (Kral is a PC) > ON: Since arriving on the Starbase Kral had taken an interest in seeing the Humans and other races that lived together on the station. Kral was a young for the position as XO which he served on the D'bloq. 26 years of age. He had grown quickly after the Dominion war, having been left as the House Lord of the House of Mok. Right now he was taking a break from all the hustle and activity and was looking about a forest in the habitat area of the station. It was familiar in that it was a forest like the Hunting ground of his home, but was also alien to him as he recognized none of the plants and trees. K'Vok was...bewildered, okay, no he was lost. He had been wandering around and just gotten lost. Now he was in a forest, and WHY were there forests on ships or stations anyway? It didn't make sense to him. Kral heard the sound of something moving in the forest and suddenly with Hunter's instinct became very still. He listened his senses opening as he took in the air. It was not animal, though he wandered why he would think that anyways. He had not smelled any animals before. No this was Klingon, sort of. Not a full Klingon. "Who is there!" He had one hand over his daqtagh in case who ever it was , not friendly. "Just lost! Don't mind me!" Came K'Vok's reply. Kral's hand relaxed but did not stray from the daqtagh. "Lost? This place has little scent. To be lost seems possible. Show yourself." Kral commanded. K'Vok carefully followed the voice until he stood face to face with another Klingon. "Hi." Kral now stood face to face with a... Half-Romulan was his first guess. But Half Vulcan was possible. But the man carried himself as a Klingon and so he simply called him Klingon. The man looked younger than he was but that could be the Vulcan or Romulan genes. "What is your name?" "K'Vok. Yours?" "Kral, of The House Mok." He finally took his hand away from the daqtagh. "You are not full blood?" He asked, some curiosity slipping into his voice. K'Vok sighed, "Did the ears give it away?" "No, actually I noticed before I saw you. Every being has a different scent. Yours was not completely Klingon." Kral said with a shrug. "Aren't you glad I don't wear aftershave?" The odd question caught Kral and for a moment he stared at the man. Then broke a grin and chuckled deeply. "You are odd, but not incorrect." He chuckled a bit more. "So, are you one of the Combatants?" "Yes, I am. You?" Kral shook his head, "My HoD was. I am just here as the First Officer and a member of his crew." "First officers usually are members of the crew, unless I'm mistaken, and I'm not." K'Vok smirked slightly. Kral chuckled again, "You are right there as well." He turned to look at K'vok better. "So you are lost?" "Yes, Seems to be easy enough to do." Kral grinned, "Then it is fortunate you met me. Come." He waved his hand and started off about 60 degrees to the right of the path they had been taking. Kral moved easily over the path, his steps light and soundless. TBC |

Title: Re: Finding The Way... (Intro: Kral, House of Mok) Post by M`rek on Feb 20th, 2005, 2:12am <Continued> K'Vok followed, looking around. "You don't make any noise.." Kral grinned, "My House Lands are mostly Hunting Grounds and I began hunting at a young age. To step lightly without sound is one of the first things I was taught and is a valuable skill." He said slowing down a bit so not to leave the man behind. "But, it's too quiet. Doesn't it ever get too quiet to hear your own thoughts?"" Kral was amused and showed it with a chuckle, "It is obvious that you would not be the best partner for hunting. The only thing that helps me quiet my mind is warnog. He laughed. He was winding around. They seemed to be going no where but it was obvious Kral knew where he was going. "What quiets my mind is a nifty little psionic chielf that a friend gave me. Then I don't hear voices in my head." Kral stopped looking at the Half-breed. "So is Vulcan not Romulan." He just nodded and then continued on a bit before stopping in what seemed to be just the middle of the forest. "Uch, Romulans, nasty people they are." Kral laughed, "Deceitful. To completely trust them is to turn your back on a charging Targ." "Not to mention it's stupid." "Exactly the point." He waved to a thick group of trees in front of them. "So do you drink warnog?" "No, I prefer bloodwine...or coffee..terran coffee." Kral nodded in understanding, "Then I will buy." He nodded to the thick cluster of tree's, "If you are ready to get out of here. It is just threw these trees." He said as he walked towards them. "That sounds wonderful, I'm parched. Are you parched?" Kral shrugged, "A little. I just think to much." He grinned as they cut threw the trees. "So what ship do you serve. I am First officer of the D'bloq." "You've said that already. I am the HoD's body guard on the MeH'Haj." Kral looked at the half breed, "Yes I did say I was First officer but I did not say what ship till now." They stepped out of the woods and continued to the doors of the environment room. "Come." "I'm coming, haven't I been coming?" "You have been poking. I am ready for some warnog before the Tourney starts." "Poking?" K'Vok poked the other warrior's ribs. "That's poking." Kral glared at the Half Breed. "I meant you are being to slow. You would think with that other heritage or yours you would be able to keep up." "I like the scenery..." "As do I. It reminds me of home. Except for the difference in trees and plants." He said. "I spent a lot of time stuck in a building...or on a ship...or...you get the idea." Kral nodded, "It is custom for the males of my House to be in the Defense Force. But when ever the chance we.... ' I ' always spend time on the Hunting Grounds. My mother is a Mok'bara Teacher and every end of the week I would bring in something from a hunt and her and the students would eat with us." TBC |

Title: Re: Finding The Way... (Intro: Kral, House of Mok) Post by M`rek on Feb 20th, 2005, 2:14am <Continued (Last section) > K'Vok shrugged, "Sounds like fun." It was apparent Kral had pride in his family, though there was also something else there that was not mentioned. They arrived at a bar and Kral went to the counter and ordered some warnog for himself and then looked to K'vok for him to say what he wanted. "Bloodwine, please and thank you." K'Vok said to the 'tender, stretching slightly. Kral looked at the Half-breed curiously as he listened to the Human pleasantries the half-breed used. The bar tender came back with their drinks and Kral paid for it and gave K'vok his bloodwine before taking his warnog. K'Vok smiled, "Humans tend to be nicer if you indulge in their odd customs." Kral nodded, though he had apparently had experience with Romulans before, he couldn't say he had a lot with Humans. He opened the bottle of warnog and poured himself some in a mug. He took one drink tasting it. "Not the best warnog I've had but it works." "Not the best bloodwine either, but, it's probably better than their coffee." Kral laughed and sat there drinking his warnog at a easy pace. "So... what made you interested in taking a trip in the forest habitat?" "Umm...getting hopelessly lost." Kral chuckled, "Apparently. Your the one who fought that big guy in the last match right?" "M'Rek? Yeah. He was tough." Kral nodded, "You fought him well and it was a good match. It must of been a great victory." K'Vok smiled stupidly, "And he said no grudges, so I don't even have to worry about being squished." He took another drink from the warnog, pacing himself so he got a nice buzz but not drunk. "A smart choice. I did not recognize his race though." "Umm...he's...hirogen I think...well, half, half Klingon." Kral nearly choked on the last gulp of warnog and it sprayed out his nose. "Ahhhhghh..." He cried out at the intense burn that hit his sinuses. His hand going to his upper nose as he leaned his head forward. K'Vok blinked, then laughed, loudly. Kral gasped and let out one last groan before going silent, his head rested on the palm of his hand while his elbow rested on the table, ad he recovered from the intense burn. After a few moments like that he finally lifted his head and took a slow careful drink of the warnog. Though now his head hurt and sinuses burned. "Are you alright?" Kral grunted, "Yeh. Will be." Then he to chuckled despite the burn. "That’s the first time that has happened to me." He laughed. "Laughing as you swallow?" "Was surprised is all." He said as he took another steadying drink of his warnog. K'Vok chuckled, "Yeah, definitely surprising." Kral let out a large belch, a secondary reaction the first. He finished off the warnog in his mug and just sat there looking at all the people passing in the bar. As well as a few drunks laying at some of the tables. K'Vok finished off his bloodwine and stretched, looking around. "This is too quiet." "Not to quiet, if you use them ears." Kral stretched a bit as well. Kral just shook his head. "Not matter. Anyways, I have heard many things about your HoD. Perhaps I will get to meet him and see for myself." He stood from his seat, setting the mug on the counter for the bar tender to take. "Perhaps...however," K'Vok gave his mug back as well. "I have training to do. It was good meeting you." "And I you. Perhaps we can join in drink again." Then added as he started for the door. "Qapla!" "Qapla" (Tag any if want) |

Title: Re: Finding The Way... (Intro: Kral, House of Mok) Post by Verghese Siminway on Feb 22nd, 2005, 4:34am Groggily, Verghese entered the bar. He was feeling darn tired and sleepy from the previous night, even though he'd gotten god-knows how much sleep in sickbay after the previous match. With the new matches about to start however, he needed to grab a quick bite to eat and head off to the arenas. Even though he had lost yesterday, perhaps he could pick up something he could use next year. Walking into the bar, his frowned a bit as his side ache, remembering not to take anything alchoholic just yet. Sitting next to another klingon who was drinking something rather strange, he nodded to the bartender and spoke. "Morning boss. Some sandwiches, some water." The bartender was somewhat surprised at the second request, especially after seeing him drink the previous few nights. He glanced to his left, looking at the Klingon for a second. He didn't recognize the Klingon, but did recognize the drink. Frowning, Verghese turned his head and cautiously asked the klingon in a low voice so that the bartender couldn't hear: "Sorry to ask, but is that warnog you're drinking? I thought this place didn't serve any. judging from the way they make bloodwine, I hope you don't mind me asking whether it's any good as well.." |

Kral looked up from his drink to see the Human Cyborg. He stared blankly at the Cyborg parts for a few moments before speaking. He made sure to speak in federation standard in case the man did not understand tlhigan Hol. "It is warnog, but probably one of the poorest made I've had." He chuckled. "Is adequit enough." He took another drink of his warnog looking a few more moments at the Cyborgs artifical limps before returning to watching the passerbys. Tag |

Title: Re: Finding The Way... (Intro: Kral, House of Mok) Post by Verghese Siminway on Feb 23rd, 2005, 6:55am "I see." Verghese simply replied. Then the bartender returned with the sandwiches. Taking one, he looked back at the klingon. Searching his memory, Verghese simply confirmed the fact that he hadn't met this Klingon before. Normally, this wouldn't bother him much (especially the constant staring at his limbs) but today was a bit different. For one, his head was clear of the after-effects of Bloodwine for once, and he was feeling more cheerfull than usual, which was rather odd. "Well, if it's that bad then I better avoid it then." Turning to face the the Klingon, he simply nodded. "Mind if I ask where are you from? I can't seem to recollect your face or where you are from for that matter." he asked, in a slightly friendly way. |

Title: Re: Finding The Way... (Intro: Kral, House of Mok) Post by Verghese Siminway on Feb 24th, 2005, 7:33am It was obvious the Klingon was having trouble speaking terran. Verghese decided this was a good time as any to practice a bit of Klingon. Of course, nearly two years of learning it at KDB was a good practice, but he didn't want to get out of touch here. Speaking with some trouble with the pronounciation, Verghese nodded and replied. "IKS D'bloq? Haven't heard of the ship I'm afraid." Raising his glass a bit and tipping it in respect, he continued, again in slightly broken Klingon. "It is good to meet you nonetheless. The name's Verghese Siminway. I'm the owner of one the bars over at KDB." He paused, taking a sip of the cold water before continuing. "So, what is your name, friend?" he asked. <tag> |

Kral looked to the Cyborg, giving full attention once the man had spoken tlhingan Hol, with about as much trouble if not more as Kral had shown speaking federation standard. "If you understand my language when heard then there is no need to speak it. We can speak our own and still understand." He got a refile of his warnog. "I am Kral, Head of the House of Mok. What is yours?" He asked the older man/cyborg. Tag |

Title: Re: Finding The Way... (Intro: Kral, House of Mok) Post by Verghese Siminway on Feb 25th, 2005, 7:02am Taking a sip out of his glass of water, he nodded and replied in terran standard. "I apologize. I saw your difficulty with terran standard, and was hoping to try and alleviate it." He paused, looking down at the drink for a minute, somewhat uncomfortable at mentioning his family. "I'm afraid there is no house - I'm pretty much the last surviving member of my family for a long time now...." It was clear he really didn't want to continue on that line right now. Instead, Verghese quickly changed the topic. "Head of the house eh?" he commented, looking the rather young klingon up and down. "You must have done something truly glorious and honorable to have earned it at such a young age. I bet there's a long battle-hardened story behind it too." <tag> |

Kral understood the loss of family member's but there was no self pitty or saddness. Only the erge to do something about it. Though he kept himself well controled. Something he had to thank the Mok'bara exercises thought to him by his mother for. He listened to the Cyborg talk and then came that question... Quote:
Kral managed a small though awkward smile, something he as a Klingon was not realy used to, but ment for the human/cyborg's sake. Then his lips parted in the more Klingon snarl. Before answering in tlhingan Hol. "Unfortunatly no. The battle that gave me this position was not my own..." He paused drinking down more of the warnog. "The battle story goes to my bloodkin in Sto-vo-kor." It was a statement of fact and was said without saddness or pitty. In fact he wanted none. He just wanted to serve his empire. |

Title: Re: Finding The Way... (Intro: Kral, House of Mok) Post by Verghese Siminway on Feb 26th, 2005, 1:49am Verghese simply nodded at the statement. It seemed clear that the Klingon did not wish to go there. "I see...but still, you are the head of your house now, and from what I see, it looks like you are more than capable of leading it." <tag> |

Kral simply laughed, "Perhaps, but without bloodkin to take over once I am headed for Sto-vo-kor, who else heads the House?" He ordered another warnog and paying for it he continued on in his language... Having stopped pacing himself as much with the warnog, he was now speaking more open than would of before. ..."If I leave my Mother or another of the women with permision to head the House, they will have to split their duties. They will have to both head the house and tend to the Hunting Grounds as well as teach our history to any new, if there is any..." He took another drink and appeared in a sense a bit of a drunken thoughtfulness as he went on. ..."They will also have to take to the duties of the Defence force, as a member of the Mok House always serves in the Defense force. Though apparently that is why I am last. If I had been able to fight in the war perhapse I could be in Sto-vo-kor..." He didn't finish the thought, not wanting to go there. ..."To bring in another from outside the House for a Brother. Perhaps I could, but he would not carry the blood of our Ancestor and could not respect the triditions and history of our house as well. If he were to take one of the women as his mate perhaps he would as it is in her blood...." He seemed to be more talking to himself out loud than realy talking to the Cyborg. His gaze rested on his mug which he drank from but not realy seeing. Then he realized he had lost focus and remebered the Cyborg was there. ..."Forgive me. I have been foolish. This matter is my own, not yours." Then he seemed confused. "What did you want?" Tag |

Title: Re: Finding The Way... (Intro: Kral, House of Mok) Post by Verghese Siminway on Mar 3rd, 2005, 8:23am "What did I want? Well, nothing much, really. I believe this entire conversation started with a bit of warnog" Verghese nodded towards the drink in the Klingon's hands. But he continued, giving the klingon little chance to reply. "As for your house...although I really can't do all that much about it, I can see that this troubles you greatly. I can't offer much help to you, but at the least....well, at the least I can offer you a listening ear." Looking back at the Klingon's drink, he smiled. "That, and maybe perhaps a much better glass of Warnog than the one you're drinking now." |
