Ness had built up a much better pace. His goal was to try and finish in a day and a half only to prove to K'Vok that he could do it.

Deck 1346, was the next sign he saw. He took a drink, and kept climbing

Hey you skipped past the me's on 2000, 1900, 1800...

ON:

At 1299 it happened again. Nearly halfway and once again, Ness passed a guard. A flight or two up and there was talking from where the guard was then a door opening and closing. The same thing, every 100 decks.
