(Message started by: Kieran O`Donnell on Feb 23rd, 2005, 10:03pm) |
Title: At the Legion, looking for Company Post by Kieran O`Donnell on Feb 23rd, 2005, 10:03pm Kieran arrived in the Legion for diner, looking around, hoping to find a certain daughter of Chang there. But she was not. He had sent her a message via Xavier's comnet, and hoped that she would show up, but it appeared that he was either early or late, or she was not going to make an appearance. Kieran settled down at the bar and ordered a Guiness, figuring to start the night off right while he waited. |
Title: Re: At the Legion, looking for Company Post by Ta`pez HoD on Feb 25th, 2005, 12:20am Kieran thought she would not make it, as he was about to leave contamplating on leaving Be'thal walked in. "Greetings old friend" she said with a smile rarely given, warm and friendly, not the usual cold and unfriendly herself. : Kieran looked up at his former Executive when they had temporarily served on the IKS S'ten Hathos, and with whom he had served side-by-side on the Hegh Leng for a period of time. "It is good to see you, Be'thal. Sit and join me." He said, more as a statement then as a request. "Time treated you kindly Kieran of Komar" Be'thal said. She sat down. "This whole trip has been made worth it, seeing you here." she added. tbc... |
Title: Re: At the Legion, looking for Company Post by Ta`pez HoD on Feb 25th, 2005, 12:26am : "I'm surprised to see you here. Last I knew, you had no love for your brother. Have you come to cheer on his opponents?" Kieran asked with a slight smirk. "I came with K'Hare and his crew, and I'll be cheering for you" she said. She pulled out a padd and showed it across the Table. "At least once you review this." She smiled at him "Do I get a gift in return" she asked "Depends on what is on the padd," Kieran said without looking at it yet, "And what it is you would like as a gift..." She chuckled. "You know me well, Kieran." she stopped looked at him then continued. "If I were a human be' I would be hurt." she laughed loudly now. "Thankfully, you are not." "I have it all compiled here - took me a while to compile it all." she said. She slid it further down the table towards him. "So?" "I'm assuming you mean about ta'pez, about your brother, the information on that padd?" Pausing, Kieran then continues, "We are not ferengi. What do you want in trade, Be'thal? What information are you fishing for that your Chang connections can not get for you?" "Nobody saw me retriving the files, nobody will know." she said. "You ll be able to read him like an open book." She looked at him then smiled. "I need the following, it should be readily available with your access." She replied and at the same time showed him the padd. Kieran : "Well, I am glad that no one saw you retrieve the information." Kieran commented, and then took the padd and skimmed what she wanted for the trade. Even Kieran was surprised, and Meth had always praised Kieran for being stone-faced, but what Be'thal was asking for surprised even Kieran. Kieran : "Of course it isn't readily available, Be'thal, or else you wouldn't be offering me this detailed file on your brother." Kieran fought to maintain control and keep his tone of voice even and low. Even in the Legion, there could be people watching. tbc... |
Title: Re: At the Legion, looking for Company Post by Ta`pez HoD on Feb 25th, 2005, 12:36am "How do I know that the information you are offering is valid? What you are asking for could cost me quiet a lot o if the Imperial Intelligence finds out about me sharing this. I value my status there, equally as much as I value the fact that my wife and son are alive and well on the home world. What you want could cause me some... shall we say, problems, if it was leaked out that I gave it to you." "You have no reassurance, I trust you and you trust me." Be'thal was still smiling but a dangerous undertone could almost be detected. "Well then do we have a deal or not Kieran of Komar?" "Leave me the padd, and if the information is valid, you will have your data after the match with your brother." Kieran was testing Be'thal, to see how far he could get. Be'thal stopped smiling. "Are your doubting my word Kierran?" he voice had become cold and hard right away." "Do not play with me human." she continued but stopped. "We trade or we can part ways" she said pulling the padd back. "What shall it be?" tbc.... |
Title: Re: At the Legion, looking for Company Post by Ta`pez HoD on Feb 25th, 2005, 12:49am "Your tone does not improve your position, Daughter of Chang." Kieran commented, going into his Interregator mode, lowering his voice and going just as cold as the woman sitting in front of him. Kieran : Kieran sat back and thought for a few moments, taking a drink from his Guinness. Silence encompassed the table as the two faced each other out. "Very well Chang. When do you want to make this trade?" "Now" she said. |
