Ness opened the last door and climbed onto the bridge of XFY. He immediately took notice of the three security guards, ready to escort him back down to the tournament area.

He quietly followed, barely able to walk. After they dropped him off in the tournament area, he stepped into sickbay, and collapsed on the floor.

The guard following Ness came out the door grumbling. One of Ness' escorts stayed behind to yank his chain. His only reaction to the ribbing was a growl and the statement, "If I ever get my hands on the fool who's idea that was, I will shove his bat'leth up ..."

His companion just laughed, glad of the escort detail he'd been given instead.
