Title: Kieran vs ta'pez Post by Kieran O`Donnell on Feb 24th, 2005, 11:00pm Kieran had defeated Q'ol, but at the price of being boo'd by the crowd for the techniques he had used. But he had advanced to the next stage in the tournament. Hopefully, Q'ol would not be angry with him for his "dirty fighting," and he hoped that it would not effect future relations with K'rahl's House. In the meantime, Kieran had replicated a new Klingon Imperial Intelligence (II) uniform, and was breaking it in at the practice arena, waiting for ta'pez to show up, so that their match could commence. Kieran would be going against the champion of last year's tournament, and Kieran had spent part of last evening reviewing every bit of information he could find about ta'pez, Klingon and Starfleet records alike, He had even used a favor or two from other agents in II to trade for some information about the HoD, hoping that it would give him the edge he needed to succeed. He put out of his mind as he practiced the fact that he received a second note last night, this time in his quarters. Perhaps his unknown correspondent would show themselves after this match. Being a member of II, and being Human, Kieran didn't expect to be well liked among some of the Klingon contigent at the torunament, but was fine with that. He was used to not being liked by Klingons once they learned that he was II. He hoped that by wearing his uniform, it would annoy ta'pez, and perhaps throw him off his gamer a bit. Kieran began to refocus his attention on his training drill and continued to practice while he waited for ta'pez to show up. |
Title: Re: Kieran vs ta'pez Post by Ta`pez HoD on Feb 24th, 2005, 11:27pm Ta'pez entered the hall, he had been bandaged up by Separ last night - but it did not help much. The fight against Wolfe had claimed much of his strenght and the injury that had resulted from his match was sure to hamper him. No warrior cut ignore a wound as was his and yet Ta'pez had chosen to apear. Thing might have been different if he had chosen Federation help, but that was out of question, he was in need to show his provess as a klingon now more then ever. The challange that he had answered by K'Hare had limited his options, and the death of his joH had constricted the situation further. For Ta'pez there were very few options left. tbc... |
Title: Re: Kieran vs ta'pez Post by Ta`pez HoD on Feb 25th, 2005, 1:54am Kieran noticed as Ta'pez entered the arena, the change in the crowd was apparent. Kieran stopped his practice and turned to see the might Ta'pez HoD. He hoped the information Be'thal had given him was correct. It had appeared to be, based on what was known about Ta'pez, but only a true contest would show it for how valid it was. Ta'pez was stoic as he aproached the II officer. Like all Klingons he disliked the Imperial Intelligence and everything that was associated with it. "Greetings Kieran." Ta'pez said cooly. Kieran : "Noq neq, Ta'pez of Chang." Kieran replied, just as coolly. "How shall we battle today?" Ta'pez asked not wishing to waste to much time on useless chatter. Kieran : "First Blood, unless you wish to go farther?" Kieran replied. "No" Ta'pez said, he was silent for a moment then continued. "first blood will suffice." tapez_mehhaj: He bowed slightly and then stepped out of the arena to the wall of honor where his batleth lay sheated. Kieran : Already holding his batleH, Kieran returned the bow and moved to the proper arena where their contest would soon take place, and readied himself for the coming contest. The judge declared the match and the crowed roared in responce. Ta'pez was not as mobile as usual, Kieran could tell that the match against wolfe had taken a toll on him The first few minutes went uneventfull as the two probed each other, testing the strengh, speed and skill. Kieran admitted to himself that the information he had received on Ta'pez was accurate so far. Perhaps he would do good to trust in it a bit more, and draw out the Chang son, get him to make a mistake and go for the strike. Ta'pez realized that he would not be able to do the usual waiting out. His wouldnt would take a while healing and he had to finish this quickly. He launched a series of attacks. Up until now he had held back on his oponents. On Kierran he unleashed the fury of his true skill and suprisingly met his equal. The crowds had noticed this. While other oppents had often trouble with his style the imperial intelligence operative met them with a familiarity that was disturbing. What was more the would was hampering him more then he had expected. His right hand was much weaker with his upper tendons pierced from the earlier fight. |
Title: Re: Kieran vs ta'pez Post by Ta`pez HoD on Feb 25th, 2005, 2:09am Kieran noted that the HoD was surprised that Kieran apparently could predict his moves and counter them, preventing the Chang from drawing first blood. Kieran continued to block and dodge, and attack when necessary, blade clanging against blade, looking for a hole that he could utilize and penetrate, and thus draw the required first blood to win against last year's champion. Ta'pez increased the pace as he tried to gain time through spead and put his oponent on the defensive. How did this human sleuth know of his intentions, nobody up till now was that good. Kieran noted to himself that his opponent was speeding up, keeping him on the defensive. He was nervous, Kieran could tell that, being what he was, but he wondered if the audience would pick up on it, and would they then turn on their champion. Kieran tightened his focus and decided to reverse the situation, he went on the offensive, move after move, slash and counter, swing around his {Kieran's} weapon to block, shove away, and continued to press for advantage against Ta'pez. The Klingon didn't like that too much. Could this be the opportunity he had been looking for? Ta'pez was stubornly trying to regain the advantage and the crowd had grown quiet lively over the dramatics of the match. Ta'pez almost thought he had the human as he executed his favorite attack few had ever seen. At first the attack went well. One, two, tree strokes - all of them perfect, and all of them luring. It was a trap well set. And yet the bait did not come, instead the human fainted the attack Ta'pez was expecting and whirled around attacking Ta'pez in a sweeping motion. Ta'pez blocked at the last moment, yet all of the strength came from the wounded right arm. It was agony, and he buckled under the strain going to his knees. Having blocked his attack, Kieran cursed and kicked Ta'pez right into his wound throwing the HoD back onto the arena ground. The Crowd roared, some exclaiming outrage others excitement. Some of the fans were switching to cheer for Kieran, which Kieran noticed, and smiled, hoping that the HoD would notice as well. Tapez rolled away quickly out side of the reach. Yet the grace was gone, for the klingon was under serious agony. |
Title: Re: Kieran vs ta'pez Post by Ta`pez HoD on Feb 25th, 2005, 2:22am Kieran slashed, slashed, and swung around, going for Ta'pez, holding nothing back, setting up his coup de grace, deciding to take a page out of Ta'pez's own combat techniques, but with a bit of a flourish, so that the Klingon would not know what was to hit him until it was too late. Launching into a flury of blows, his batleH swinging one way, and then another, violently, but rhythmicly moving to an internal rhythm of Kieran's as he pressed on the offensive. Ta’pez had observed his oponent on and could se how he was mimicking his and matching his "dance". He was tired and exausted and knew that they wouldnt be able to hold the pace much longer and that Ta'pez would be on the loosing end of this real soon if things didn’t change quickly. No sooner he had uttered this thought to himeself Kieran had attacked. Ta’pez countered, and countered well and suprisingly Kieran lost balance and slidded to the ground. No Ta’pez caught himself – it was the realization that came often too late, Kieran had purposly slid down onto the ground after his blow. The suprise was compounded by the swift kick aimed at one of his knees. With Kieran on the Ground and Ta’pez falling, the batleh were still fighting each other. Breaching Kieran defenses as he fell Ta’pez disarmed Kieran. This was indeed a suprise and the crowd roared at the excitement. |
Title: Re: Kieran vs ta'pez Post by Thena on Feb 25th, 2005, 2:18pm But the match is to first blood... I see no blood yet! Who wins? I need to know in order to post odds for the next round! |
Title: Re: Kieran vs ta'pez Post by KTar on Feb 25th, 2005, 3:23pm K'Tar grew angry as did most of the crowd at seeing Kieran again fight dishonorably against his HoD. K'Tar knew he was already in the championship upon defeating Tal'vur and watched this match to see who he would be facing. As it stood, his HoD was not doing well against the dishonorable tactics used by the human petaq. K'Tar snarled in disgust at the human as he continued to watch the match. |
Title: Re: Kieran vs ta'pez Post by M`rek on Feb 25th, 2005, 5:46pm Watching the battle, there could be nothing but anger from one who was a loyal as M'Rek was. The Human petaQ was beating his HoD down, not by just skill but by dishonorable tactics that he found a disgust of the very nature. He watched the human kick his HoD in a injury as if he were some kind of Miss behaving targh. His bloodroared, as his fist clinched in the intense anger. His claws which were still sharpened for battle cut into his palms releasing a dribble dark purple blood. He held himself in check, as he did not want to be pulled by station security ifh he let his agner get to much control. But there was no doubt when someone looked at the large stiff Hirogen/Klingon, what lay beneath the surface of the tight skin and coiled muscle. Tag |
Title: Re: Kieran vs ta'pez Post by SajidaKajada on Feb 25th, 2005, 5:49pm Arriving a tad late as G'Trell left Sajida's side enroute to the match she had gone looking for Kira and anyone else she knew but the crowd of people was too much to get through. She made her way past the crowd hearing people cheering Ta'pez and booing Kieran. Sajida had missed a good chunk of the battle already since she could hear the bat'leth's clanging in the arena amidst the crowd. Finally getting a good view she saw Kieran fighting in haste as Ta'pez countered each of his movements he then lost balance and fell while kicking Ta'pez to the floor with him then he managed to knock Kieran's bat'leth out of his hand as they were both on the floor and the crowd automatically jumped up and roared. Sajida was indeed intrigued by his movements and also cheered on Ta'pez. It was fun watching him fight also she was watching for her own accord as they would have their friendly bout soon enough. |
Title: Re: Kieran vs ta'pez Post by Kieran O`Donnell on Feb 25th, 2005, 6:07pm Kieran had set up his coup de grace, and now was the final series. Kieran, borrowing from Ta'pez (who had used the same series of moves last year to defeat ex-Admiral Tauvits, and wondered if Tauvits would remember it), figuring that the Klingon would be surprised by the attack, and be slow on the rebound. Ta'pez was. Kieran grinned as he wiped his hand on his armor and showed it to Ta'pez. The blood was not the red color of a human. "I believe Chang, that this is your blood, but don't worry," Kieran commented loud enough that it would be possible for others to hear, "I just borrowed a page from your own book. At least I treated you better then you did Tauvits." and the Human Imperial Intel Officer grinned. Ta'pez looked at him with hatred and rage of a cheated enemy. The judge looked at the competitors and said, "The Match goes to Kieran, son of Michael, of the House of Komar." His batleth still in hand Ta'pez got up and mererly spat next to kieran. Without saying another word he turned and walked out of the arena ground. Kieran bowed in respect to the judge, and grinned as he picked up his father-in-law's batleH, and made his own way out of the arena, wondering if he would need to call in any favors now. This has been a JP posted in parts, and brought to you by Ta'Pez HoD AND Lt. Commander Kieran O'Donnell |
Title: Re: Kieran vs ta'pez Post by gtrell on Feb 25th, 2005, 7:01pm G'Trell shook her head at the display. It was a shame that her HoD had lost to one with out honor. She knew all to well what that was like. SHe just hoped that through his anger he had learned something from the ordeal. She then Spotted M'Rek looking as angery as only a Hirogen/klingon could be. She made her way to him laying a comforting hand on his elbow. "Dont let it burn you, nothing good ever comes from being angery." |
Title: Re: Kieran vs ta'pez Post by SajidaKajada on Feb 25th, 2005, 8:06pm Sajida yelled out, booing heavily at Kieran's dishonorable victory and started arguing with the starfleet officer next to her discussing the ending of the match. Stomping off after speaking with the officer Sajida began looking for her friends and found G'Trell with M'Rek looking rather cheezed off standing closer to the end of the fighting area. "Bah!" she yelled out to them while waving her hands in the air in protest "That was such a horrible match! I am still shocked beyond belief! They should have a rematch" she said to the two of them. They all chatted for a moment or two when G'Trell spotted someone she wanted to speak to. Dismissing herself from M'rek and Sajida she said she would find them later as she left. Sajida then walked away with an angry M'rek to the Legion for a quick drink so he could "drown his sorrows" it seemed like today would not be so good for a few people Sajida thought to herself. OFF: EDIT: Had to do some modifications in this to link to a post in the other section |
Title: Re: Kieran vs ta'pez Post by Falco_Tauvits on Feb 25th, 2005, 8:30pm Tauvits winced repeatedly as he watched the match. He had been interested in seeing how this would pan out the moment he'd seen the two names drawn against each other. O'Donnell, and his fighting, reminded him heavily of how he himself had performed the previous year - a competent warrior reduced to average status by the sheer brilliance of other contestants nevertheless succeeding beyond what would be expected by... unorthodox tactics. He could not bring himself to side against Ta'pez in this match, however he had a slightly more neutral standpoint than those about him seemed to. O'Donnell was doing well for himself, and although Tauvits did not strictly approve of the methods he employed, he could not quite condemn the man after his own performance last year. This year, he had fought better, with much more respect for the competition. But what did he have to show for it? Precious little. And O'Donnell, with his fighting style many disapproved of, had a place in the final, a shot at the championship, and had just taken down the man who had won twice in a row, had even beaten Tauvits himself. For all the Klingons ranted and raved about honour, he wasn't sure that material indulgences were the root of all evil, as many seemed to suggest. The previous year, Tauvits had criticised himself for his own fighting style, and lost the match against Ta'pez in a manner of which he could be proud. It had gone against his nature as a sportsman to shift the boundaries of the match for his own success. But since then, Tauvits had found himself in situations where he had been fighting for his life with a betleH in his hands, and then he had not been about to stop and consider if his fighting technique was 'fair'. He had fought, he had killed, and he had won. And if he had fought like that in the arena, he would have been booed as O'Donnell was being right now. Different environments, different mindsets, but the skills and the simple, brutal fact of fighting remained the same. To an extent, Tauvits considered the Klingons to be lucky. Fight with honour, live with honour, die with honour, and they had Sto'Vo'Kor to go to after they died. Tauvits didn't have a Sto'Vo'Kor. Just people - more people than he would have guessed, when he truly considered it - who might miss him when he died. A gap. A failure. Maybe, for Klingons, the failure was in acting dishonourably. But Tauvits didn't know if his current lifestyle left room for honour, not if he wanted success - and success meant saving lives. If honour would cause death, then honour would cause failure. Then again, this was just a single darned match in the tournament, and something he was pondering far too much. And it was true; the arena was not the field of battle. His fencing teachers from his youth would have ripped apart O'Donnell's performance, and they would have been right to. Tauvits could not predict how his life, his mission, would affect his morals, his honour. All he could do was to carry on and try to remain as true to himself as possible. Still... O'Donnel might have been 'dishonourable' by the rules of the tournament. But he might just have been smarter than any of them. |
Title: Re: Kieran vs ta'pez Post by K`rahl on Feb 25th, 2005, 9:37pm K'rahl Son of Kur'rk K'rahl watched the fight almost silently. It was intriguing to see Kieran fighting. Yet another style, he was using the same moves as Ta'pez. Somehow he had come into a manner of training that gave him access to the variant moves of many warriors. Most warriors practiced their special moves in total seclusion. So had Kieran used images from previous competitions to study each of his opponents. It was certainly possible. Kieran would fight dirty against an enemy in a life and death struggle, indeed the rules of fighting were different when in the battlefield. What Kieran was doing was not against the rules but certain things were not good form. How interesting that by fighting dirty Kieran was defeating the most persistant cheat of all. Ta'pez was a liar and a schemer. He cheated in almost everything he did, including in tournaments. Though here he seemed to be following the codes expected and be suffering in the way his victims would usually suffer. It was poetic justice. However as he watched it he saw with fresh eyes his mistake last year. Had he kept his temper in check and concentrated on his superior skill he could have defeated Ta'pez. He certainly knew Kieran was a fine warrior but he knew that both Q'olavraH and himself were superior. Using just the styles he had learnt Kieran may have won. He did not need to lower himself to taking advantage of an oponent's injuries in a Tournament fight. When it was over he cheered the victor as was only correct. He was glad Ta'pez had lost, though in truth Kieran had not won. He had compromised him self. |
Title: Re: Kieran vs ta'pez Post by KTar on Feb 26th, 2005, 12:31am K'Tar wanted to slaughter the human. But he knew his time would come. They would meet later in the day in the championship match and K'Tar would make sure the petaq paid dearly for his actions this day and during the tournament. K'Tar turned and pushed himself through the crowd and exited the arena, his blood boiling. He would teach the human a painful lesson in fighting honorably..a very painful lesson... |
Title: Re: Kieran vs ta'pez Post by gtrell on Feb 26th, 2005, 12:37am ON: G'Trell shook her head at the display. "Dont let it burn you, nothing good comes from being angery." M'Rek let out a low growl and nearly stuck out at the touch on his elbow when he realized who it was. He struggled to contain the anger and feeling a sensation in his chest he had to make himself calm some. Then he lifted her and met her lips with his own, his anger calming as he did. G'Trell gasped a bit as he pulled her to him, But the gasp died as his lips touched hers. She didn't know what to do. She wanted to struggled, but was held captive almost. Here ever caulculating mind switched off. She swade alittle as he lett her down. "Thanks." She was barley able to make the word adlable. M'Rek appeared startled at his own action, and with some embarrassement turned to watch his HoD leave the arena. "It would be nice to show that Human what now boils in my blood!" He growled lowly, his hands bloodied from where he had dug his claws into his palm. G'Trell took his hand and reaching up she pulled him down into a rough kiss of her own. Makeing sure her teeth grazed his lower lip. She smiled as she let go of his collar and broke the kiss. "If you need to take out some aggression then by all means lets hit the trainning room." M'Rek looked at the be'. "Do you feel the same connection I do?" He aksed her lowly out of the blue. G'Trell raised a brow an smiled at him." Is it that obvious?" Noting the confused look on his face she licked her lip where the taste of his blood was still fresh. " Yes, M'Rek. I feel for you unlike I have felt in a long time for anyone. So here is your fair warning. My feelings are as dangerous as the blade I weild. I tell you now i have nothing to offer you and seek nothing from yourself but the same honor I bestoy upon you." G'Trell sighed and looked to the empty ring. It was hard to admit such feelings after so long. Plus she knew she was not worthy of anyone. She had her honor and her blade, that was all. She hoped he understood that. M'Rek looked at her in understanding. "I have asked nothing else but honor from you. I know the name of my House but nothing more. I do not know it by anything but it's name." G'Trell smiled and gave him a playful punch in the arm. " A name is more than you think at least to Klingons." Her face grew serious again. "Should you wish to prosue this now you do so knowing tat I bring with me only my blade." Her attention was caught by Sajida, She watched a moment then looked back at M'Rek who had yet to respond. "Should you choose to prosue it." She said pulling a knife from her belt, She grabbed his already bloody hand. " Let me open the door for you." With that she ran the blade not so gently over his inner palm. "You have my offer now. take it or leave it." She turned to leave intent of going to Sajida to discuss what had just happened, when a hand caught her shoulder halting her steps. She looked over her shoulder at M'Rek whos gold eyes burned into hers M'Rek looked deeply into her eyes, Knowing what she offered, He knew she was a rouge did not change what he saw in her, To him she had more honor than most the Klingons in this room combined, His feelings for her still the burn in his eyes and he wanted her to know that she had not lessened, not in his eyes at all. In fact this only made them stronger. She had been brave enough to tell him the truth. Plus there was something dangerous in her ebony eyes, it made his blood churn. She was challenging him. He could feel it, then something that tugged at his mind. A small piece of his past sliding in place were he could remember nothing else. Finally after this moment of thought he spun her to face him and grabbed her palm and dug his claws into her skin. His answer was given and it was now her game. G'Trell gasped a moment as his claws ripped into her flesh. But it was not the pain that caused this, It was the unexpected answer it symbolized. Never had anyone excepted her upon finding out about what she really was. Who would? She was a rouge, a nobody! At least from what she had gathered from F’Larn. For a fleeting second she thought he had lost his mind. But then she smirked. At least they would be well suited, if, yes if he survived her courting. It was then a flustered Sajida approached obviously oblivious to the going on’s between the two. |

Title: Re: Kieran vs ta'pez Post by Verghese Siminway on Feb 26th, 2005, 7:49pm Now this was a shocker. Amongst all the booing and the commotion in the crowd, Verghese sat silently, contemplating what had just happened. Keiran had defeated Tapez, and from the looks of it, it hadn't been too hard either. Of course, the means were somewhat questionable, but the end victory was there and plain to see. Just like the previous year, after he lost his initial match, he stayed on to watch and learn. And he was learning much indeed. Rather than join in the condemnation or the jubilation of the victor, he simply got up and headed towards the Legion. It was time for lunch, and there was still the finals to go. |
Title: Re: Kieran vs ta'pez Post by M`rek on Feb 26th, 2005, 9:08pm G'Trell walked the halls a new bounce in her step. Her batletH slung over her shoulder as she made her way tothe trainning hall. She was glade to have recruted Sajidas help with the evenings task. She pressed the door open and smiled as she saw M'Rek training already, His skin glisend with sweat. She stood back and watched as he went through his paces. M'Rek was not training with a batletH this time. He was working on some hand to hand exercises. Something that looked like a cross between Klingon Mok'bara and Human Judo. His skin bare from the waist up and all the scars and tattoo showing in thier glory. Though one scar clearly was not made in battle. His skin was moist with sweat and his concentration focused, though he did sense her he did not stop. G'Trell took in the scars and let her eyes linger on the colorful tatoo on his back. Most intersting. After watching a few of his rounds she caught on the the repetive cycle she sat her blade down and took up a potision a few feet away and began to mimick it percisley. M'Rek continued, aknowledging she was ther with a look that said all. Then he begin to change the pattern he was weaving with the exercise. G'Trell was not thrown off she continued with the previous moves until she had the new ones down and intergraded them acordingly. M'Rek then tried something different and she seemed to learn the movements quickly. He continued like this for a bit more and then suddenly struck out. One of the moves turning into an attack which stopped with two fingers an inch away from the skin of her neck. "More than simple movement, the capibility to kill or disable." He said and pulled back and stopped to look at her. His expresion was calm though his eyes told that he cared for her greatly and in a sense was proud that she was such a quick learner. G'Trell did not step back form his attack but nodded. Though she had been caught a bit off guard. She knew he was incapable of hurtting her. She could not figure out how she knew this, but she knew. "I see. I shall have to remember that one." With that she took up a spairing postion. "I take it hand to hand in the name of the game today." A firey gleem came to her eye as it always did when getting ready to go into a battle. M'Rek grunted, "I am not sure if good idea with my claws still sharpened as they are." Still he took up position. "Tell me more about the woman I have come to care about so greatly." He said now in positon and ready. G'Trell went into her first attack and was amazed at how quick he blocked her advance. she smiledas she reilized she had made a good choice. " Whats to tell? My family died in battle when I was very young. I was taken to a alleyed house who sent me to a space staion where my guaridan died." She blocked a few of his attacks and was quick to counter, side steping and putting a bit of distance bettween them. " I was then taken in by a human family who put me into Starfleet the first chance they got. They too are dead now." She waitted for his next attack and woundered how he was taking the information. M'Rek listened with a sense of understanding that not even he understood how he felt it. He just knew that to woman was of a spirit he had never seen as far as he could tell with most his life unknwon to even himself. That spirit fuelled his desire. Her courage was undeniable, and the Honor. It did not matter to him her mixed heritage. Only who she was as a person and how she carried herself. He sent a few attacks against her which she quickly learned to block. "There is something which I should of said earlier as well." He finally said, though he hoped she could understand. G'Trell nodded, " I doubt there is anything you could say that would sway me." "I can not tell you about my House or my family. I can not tell you what I have done in the past. I can not tell you that the same person you see before you is trully me. Unfortuanly I had little memory of anything of my past before my assignment on the meH'Haj." He said as he stopped the fight a moment. G'Trell digested this. " Very well, that is of little circumstance to me. You are who you are now, I am not one to pass judgment on anyone. I am willing to take chances." She smiled. "A year ago I could not have told you as much as I had now. A potential mate of mine named F'Larn did me a service when he checked my back ground. He was not as forgiving as you are on the matter." She dropped her ready stance and shrugged. " Honor isn't everything, But I still maintain the honor to my name and to those who walk with me. Its not much but its the best I can do. Its what allows me to walk with pride and know that I am worthy of Sto-vo-kor when I die. What ever is in your past can stay there. Unless you wish for it to be a matter,, then we can deal with that together." M'Rek growled lowly, pleased. Then thought of something. "I have something to show you, if you wish. We will have to go on the wa'pach to see it though." G'Trell nodded, "Very well lets go." M'Rek nodded and at her side he led her to the B'Rel. They had to pass security but did so with little problem. Then he led her on the ship to the weHwI' barracks. G'Trell looked around the room. It was perfectly squared away. She liked that. She gave M'Rek a smile. M'Rek went to his bunk which appeared unused except for a few things placed on it as if it were a table. G'Trell watched curiously M'Rek went to a large case that sat on his bunk. It was well locked. Now he unlocked it and opened the case to show the collection he had of bladed weapons. Then he pulled out one which seemed out of place. G'Trell takes a seat next to him her eyes widen at the site of the collection. "Wow what a display! It must have taken a while to obtain them." SHe ran a hand lovinlg over the fine crafted pieces. "Pehaps, it is not something I remember." He then showed her what he picked out. It was not exactly a blade. It was the only piece he had of his other heritage. A Hirogen Talon. "Though I have little memory I belive this was my fathers." It had been a few hours since T'Lai had gotten out of the hospital. Being argumentive with the doc, one arm was in an old-fashioned sling, the one that had broke. The other arm had a neatly wrapped bandage where she had gotten sliced. It was obvious she did not want Starfleet technology to heal her. G'Trells reaches out. "May I?" she asked softly almost revrently. She had decided to take a walk, for she was rather bored. While on her walk, she had passed the weHwI' barracks and paused when she heard voices in there. 'M'Rek must be there.' she thought silently before she pressed the door chime. The reverance was broken by a chime at the door. M'Rek looked up growling at the disterbance. "You gonna invite them in" G'Trell asked, amused by his reaction. T'Lai stood there, wondering what was taking him so long. Finally she fed up with waiting for an invitation in, and she let herself in. She looked around untill finally she found M'Rek with G'Trell. So she walked over to them. G'Trell stood up and and greeted T'Lai. "My friend! It looks as though your battle went well. I only hope you made the fool who fought you pay for every scratch." M'Rek wandered what T'Lai would say as he watched her come in. The woman had to many sides and by now he had given up on trying to figure out if she wanted to remain friends or despise him. Not that he realy allowed it to bother him now. He had made his decision. "Indeed I have." She said in a monotone voice. It was slightly evident that she wasn't in the best of moods at the moment. "nuqneH M'Rek." She greeted him. G'Trell was not taken back by the be's tone. She smiled warmly. As T'Lai walked past her. M'Rek simpley returned with the same greeting. "nuqneH." Since there was nothing else he knew to say until she stated her purpose here. "M'Rek, I wanted to apologize for my recent behavior to you." She said. Her face remained expressionless, not showing the fact that she was hurting emotionally inside to say what she was about to say. "I suppose... for now... we can be friends, if you want..." She told him. G'Trell moved twoard the door. This was obviously a conversation bettween friends and she had no part in it. "G'Trell you may stay. I am leaving now." She said plainly. M'Rek nodded in acceptance, "You are forgiven." G'Trell turned to the woman. "T'Lai, I cant help but think that I have done something to upset you." She frowned a bit considering her next words. " If I have I never ment to." "Thank you." She said. She gave him one last look and gave him a half grin, then bowed to him for respect, and then turned swiftly on her heels. She then made her way to the door, walking past G'Trell. "Im sorry for interupting your conversation. You haven't said or done anything." She said before leaving the room. G'Trell was on T'Lais heels at the door. "Wait. come join us." "I'm sorry but I have other business to tend to." She said, keeping things at a professional level for now. G'Trell frowned. "Very well" M'Rek placed the forgoten Talon back in the box and closed it. He did not say much more as he listened to the two women talk. "Qapla, G'Trell. Qapla, M'Rek. I am sure there will be more time to chat after we board the meH'Haj. " She said. G'Trell returned to the bunk and sat next to M'Rek again. "She is upset about me. I can see it in her eyes." She laid her head on M'Reks shoulder. "You put it away." She said referring to the talon. "I wanted to get a closer look at it." M'Rek nodded and picked up an empty bloodwine tankard off the floor from beside his bed where he usualy slept. Then opened the box again to allow her to look. "It is not you she is upset at." G'Trell looked over the peice but more so enjoyed having to lean closer to M'Rek to do so. " I just hope things work out. I...I dont want this to effect us." M'Rek just simply nodded as his stomanch made a loud sound. A sound that not only meant hungry but very hungry. G'Trell chuckled. " I am starving how about you?" M'Rek chuckled. "Very much, however before we go there is something I need to do. I allow very few know of it.' He said as he puled out a black satchel he often carried and opened it to pull out his medication. He was allowing her to see a vulnerable side as he injected what he needed. G'Trell watched a bit perplexed. "What is that? " she asked in a soft whisper. "Have you noticed that I slow down near the end when we were practicing a few days ago?" He said almost as quiet though his voice was not made for that low a voice. It was something he found uncomfortable to share. G'Trell nodded and pressed closer to him letting him know she did not think lesser of him for it. M'Rek sighed, "I am not sure what all is in it. Only that when I have not taken it I suffer from hunger quicker and weakness." He gritted his teeth. He felt her closer to him and looked at her. She smiled up at him. " Its okay. I have a secret too." With that she reached into her armor and pulled a faded picture out of a small klingon boy no more than five years of age. He was holding a bat'letH in his hands and was wearing a shinning set of armor. His eyes where the same sheen as G'Trells, that fire burned the same. His face should excitment and pride. His maine of black hair was pulled neatly into a ponytail. M'Rek looked at the boy and rubbed his head as an image flashed in his mind and was just as quickly gone. "Who is he?" G'Trell ran a finger over the picture. The hurt was still fresh even after the time that had passed. "He was my son......Until he was killed. This is all I have left of him a faded picture and mornful memories. His father was killed before he was born." She looked up at him. M'Rek nodded and was quiet. His stomach grumbled again. Not that he really looked like he had been eating as he should anyways. He had been allowing himself to get distracted from his meals when he did get something to eat and never finishing the meals. "Did they die honorably?" G'Trell shook her head. "Tarlin my sone was captured and assimlated by the Borg. He died when the cube was distroyed." M'Rek winced visiably. It was a reaction that indicated that he was familiar with them. Though he could not remeber any specific memory to indicate his knowledgeof them. G'Trell felt him jerk and put the picture away quickly. "We better get something to eat I have not had a bite since dinner last night." M'Rek nodded and got up, he reached out and dug his claws into her shoulder a bit. Then walked with her leaving the wa'pach to find somewhere to get a decent Klingon meal.
