Title: I never expected... Post by Falco_Tauvits on Mar 1st, 2005, 10:56pm What's happened in this tournament that you didn't expect? For your characters, and in general? What took place which you wouldn't have ever predicted but which made absolute sense... or not?... at the time? Let's reminisce until next year... ;) I never expected Tauvits and Ta'pez to strike up a friendship, let alone embark on committing semi-murder (legally, morally, etc...?) together... they were meant to be room-mates, but we never got around to specifically stating it. I never expected Tauvits to sing on a bar-stool, however drunk he was. He's never done that before, so it confused me when he insisted. I never expected Q'ol and Ta'pez to be beaten by anyone other than each other. I never expected to be knocked out in my first PC round, but then I lost to the champion so it's less embarrassing. ;) Besides, Tauvits over-stretched himself last year, so it balances out. I never expected Tauvits' betleH to break. That happened literally on a whim. A slightly planned whim, but one moment I thought "Hey, that's fun!" and the next I was doing it. I never expected to get Reynolds thrown in the brig. Or just to witness it, but the IC image it produced of Tauvits watching security stun the guy whilst he calmly sipped on his pint amused me enough. I never expected to end up betting all of my money on one person, and CERTAINLY never expected that one person to then go on and prod so much buttock (Pratchett reference, before my phrasing scares anyone). I think O'Donnell stole my luck and dirty fighting of last year, though Tauvits had the decency to go down honourably. ;) I never expected to find myself talking so much about Klingon honour and the interpretation of it when discussing the final match with people OOC. K'Hare has finally indoctrinated me, I think. Oh, and I never expected to beat up a drunken flag officer... I do believe that's it. Share your thoughts, people. |

Title: Re: I never expected... Post by Q`olavraH on Mar 1st, 2005, 11:21pm Though all the clues have been piling up and piling up, I never expected my onion to so completely shock me.. K'Hare is 1/4 Romulan... ROMULAN!! I never expected that S'ol was so moody, and had such feelings of... sadness, and remorse about betraying his sister.. which I am not even sure all of the story yet.. I haven't had time to read absolutely everything yet. I did not expect that Tauvits was going to be a baddie.. though OOC we know he isn't really. I didn't expect that K'Hare and Q'ol had been married in the other reality and had a kid.. that one I don't think he expected either, it just sort of happened by tacit agreement as we plotted and wrote together. I never expected ta'pez to knocked out of it before the final.. such a high skill level and he can't be counted on to fight with honor. ;) So much more... but as I said, I've not fully finished reading everything yet. Loj's story.. I want to see more of that. |

Title: Re: I never expected... Post by Ta`pez HoD on Mar 1st, 2005, 11:42pm I never expected to see so much writted - so much quality stuff written by people I had not expected it from. I never expected to see the main Klingons not face of (true, K'Hare and Ta'pez settled their case ) the fact that I didnt get to battle K'rahl or Q'ol saddens me. I never expected to fight G'trell in the first round. My hopes were that my able crew would take out more of the oposing tournament before they would have to fight among themselves. I never expected Kieran to beat both me and Qol. But IC it all worked out wonderfully. Be'thals treachery and help to Kieran will be a bombshell once discovered. I never expected to see the tournament pass the 2000 messeges mark. I didnt expect I would participate in the killing of a traitor from federation. What I regret is the fact there there were so many more opportunities and so little time to write everything. Continuous lack of sleep has been - welll just tiring. It is fortunate that in 2 days I will be on spring break as i trully need some rest. Going away from this I will take the lesson learned to prewrite even more. This tourney around I had a plan what to do in regards to the story wise and I hope people have enjoyed the house story. I havent managed to write so much of what was planned but then again. More stuff for later right? In any case I never had expected to have so much fun, and that i probably the best suprise of all. |

Title: Re: I never expected... Post by Thena on Mar 2nd, 2005, 1:01am I never expected to hand out so much latinum!! Although the whole Kieran taking out both Q'olavraH and Ta'pez thing did kind of mess things up. |

Title: Re: I never expected... Post by Ta`pez HoD on Mar 2nd, 2005, 1:15am so did the house make or loose money ? |

Title: Re: I never expected... Post by Thena on Mar 2nd, 2005, 1:22am The house lost 2742 slips... to only 10 gamblers! Heavy wagering on Kieran to win his upsets, combined with K'Tar facing Kieran rather than Q'ol or Ta'pez in the finals cost the house a large bundle. |

Title: Re: I never expected... Post by K`Hare totlh on Mar 2nd, 2005, 5:26am I never expected to have so much family by the end of the tourney. The kid thing was a whim that just came up in doing the posts. "What if we did this... then K'Hare would have to deal with XXX." That's why the rescue of her is kinda glossed over. The ritual w/ Q'ol was also unplanned but once it occured to me it made a lot of sense and the kid provided a reason to do it now. If I'd thought of it before, I would have probably done it sooner but I am glad it happened here. The ritual w/ Durkes was all his idea. I also never expected to finally get Tauvits fighting with honor only to have him team up with ta'pez. I expected Khoal to wake up and solve some mysteries but time ran short. It will have to happen on KDB. And just wait until he does... |
