Title: KDB:  Goodbye
Post by K`Hare totlh on Mar 2nd, 2005, 10:25am

K'Hare had just finished checking on Khoal.  The hybrid was still unconcious but the Vulcans said he was physically stable.  His mind would recover from the shock or it wouldn't.

He was able to arrange for the ship to dock with the base for a short time since the bulk of the tourney visitors had left.  It still had not been trivial, but he was a TFCO-elect.   So after arranging for the Khoal to be taken to the IKS Montgomery Scott, K'Hare sent a message specifically to Q'ol to insure that she and the child would be make it to the ship.  He also informed Aklev so quarter's would be provided.

Then he sent out a general message to all those he thought might be returning with him.  "The IKS Montgomery Scott will depart for Klach D'kel Brakt in one hour.  Inform the ship of your intention to be aboard and don't be late."

With that done he packed his few belongings, left a keg for the station's CO, retrieved his betleH from the wall of Honor, and made it to his ship.

OFF:

OK, anyone who wants to go back to KDB on the Scott say so or be left behind.

Q'olavraH and wovqut had gone shopping for the things the girl would need.

There were a couple of places where quality Klingon wear could be purchased on the station and so they had gotten some basics for the girl and Q'ol had seem some things that she thought her children might like in the way of toys so she bought them for presents.

The two females made their way to where the Scott was parked and after being cleared they boarded.

Q'ol was uncertain whether K'rahl would ride on the Scott or if he would take the ship that had brought him to the tournament on to KDB.

She had sent him a message with her intent to go with the Scott directly after recieving K'Hare's message.

Ing replied immediately, reserving his spot. He would have liked to have a longer time with access to the science facilities of XFY, but all in all, he was glad to get away from the strangers on the base and back among Klingons he was familiar with.

He didn't have much to pack, but he did double-check the data he had downloaded from Xavier. 15 minutes later, he was walking onto the Scott.

roS heard the call and packed his stuff and headed for the docking area glad to see the end of this competition and looking forward to getting home.

On the way to the ship he spotted Ing in front of him.

<<VIP Quarters – XFY>>

Taylor deleted the last message from the terminal before him, erasing all evidence of the work he’d performed from that terminal. He know that someone at Star Fleet Intel would be able to recover the content of his messages if they put their mind to it, Taylor was beyond caring now all that mattered to him was getting to the bottom of the mystery that had been laid out before him.

He picked up his bag several hours earlier he’d carefully packed away his notes and the clothing he’d brought with him earlier in the week. Stopping he took one last look at the picture in his room, he smiled wondering if he’d be around in Star Fleet to see the picture again next year.

Slowly he exited the room, and headed down to the docking area aiming to get on the Scott before K’Hare left. Life on KDB would be strange, especially with all the digging Taylor still had to do.

So'l was already packed, and headed to the airlock immidately. The sooner he got away from this place, and back into the normal flow of things on KDB, the better.

Verghese already had his clothes packed with K'hare's message came through. Taking note of the time, he simply thought cutting it close now are we boss? to himself. It was indeed cutting it close, and the rest of the crew would be rushing back to the Montgomory Scott right now.

He sighed for a minute, resting his face in his hands. Might as well get going he thought to himself.

Gathering the various padds on the table, Verghese took whatever he was working on, shoved it into his bag and then headed towards the airlock as fast as he could.

OFF:  I know I'm not a part of the crew, but I thought this would be the apropiate place for this.  :)  Hope you enjoy it!

ON:

<<Bridge; IKS MeH'Haj>>

K'Tar had head rumors about the judge who called himself K'Hare and had earlier been found to be part romulan was actually sister of Qol or such.  Nevertheless, K'Tar had gotten an idea a day ago and sent for a surprise.  He walked over to the communications console and opened a channel to the incoming human freighter.  =/\=It is good that you have arrived.=/\=

=/\=Glad to be here.  Can't wait to offload this cargo though.=/\=

=/\=As I said before, you are being paid to transport your...goods.=/\=  K'Tar checked the sensors.  They showed the freighter carrying some medical supplies and spices.  K'Tar knew that this was not the ship's true cargo.  The captain had done an excellent job in disquising the sensor readings of the true cargo.  A cargo he dispised personally as did all Klingons.  =/\=Is your transporter...ready?=/\=  K'Tar had also instructed the captain to transport the cargo using subspace, which would allow the transport to be undetectable and not raise any alarms.

=/\=Yes, they're ready.=/\=

K'Tar punched in the coordinates of Q'olavrah's and K'Hare's quarters aboard the IKS Montgomery Scott to the freighter captain.  A few seconds later, only one small grey sound proof box materialized in a flash of white light in Qol's quarters.  The rest were transported into K'Hare's quarters.  The small brown furry creatures filled the room completely.  Anyone entering the room would have a wall of the tribbles falling down on top of them.

=/\=Transport complete.=/\=

=/\=Excellent.  You may go.=/\=  K'Tar said with a toothy grin.

=/\=Acknowledge.  K'Tar out.=/\=  K'Tar wished he could see K'Hare's face when he would be toppled by the falling and shrieking tribbles.  K'Tar continued to smile as he sat back down in the command chair until he was relieved by the XO or the HoD.

<<Have fun;)>>

Man, I was trying to inflict Plague of Tribbles - the heavy metal band - upon K'Hare.

This is much more... literal.

I am going to assume that was humor and so I wont point out the 20 reasons it wouldn't work.  I will leave that to others.

K'rahl was annoyed when he received the message from Q'olavraH.  It proved she did not listen to much he told her.  He thought it was quite plain that he intended to travel to KDB with her.  Why she would then make arrangements only for herself left him bemused.

He made his way to the Scott, alerting K'Hare to his intention to board for passage ahead of his arrival.

I think he was referring to the post from Ktar.

and why not?  Tribbles do still exist thanks due in part from Cpt. Sisko.  Subspace transporter had been known cannon to not be detectable by normal sensors.  Case in point when terrorists beamed aboard the Enterprise without raising any alarms until they were spotted by LaForge in Engineering when they placed an explosive on the warp core.  So I don't see how it wouldn't work.  Anyways, feel free to delete the post if you wish.

OFF:

It has been more than 10 years since the subspace transporter incident.  Which was, by the way, a stupid plot device.  In fact, its my favorite.  Put one on your ship and when you encounter an enemy, just use it to beam half his warp core to his bridge... suddenly two warp breaches, one in Engineering and one on the bridge.  Game over.  We have to assume a defense has been found.

Then there is the problem that you don't know where K'Hare's or Q'ol's quarters are.

Such an act would be considered an attack... you are transporting into another ship.  Do you really want to do that?  If it gets traced back to someone on the meH'Haj you have just reignited the war between K'Hare and ta'pez.  Maybe you would want to do that to come in later and fill in the vacuum.

Its illegal cargo in fed space.  Your character deals in such things?

I could go on.

If you want to play with tribbles in character than do it.  This isn't a lack of a sense on humor on my part.   I just want my role playing to be consistent.  But if you do send me a tribble, be prepared for the ramifications.  I don't know how we would resolve the death challenge.

Tribbles are even more ilegal in Klingon space...
