G’Trell eyed Khare and then her HoD a moment before she spoke.

“Perhaps my good lords this could be settle at a more convent time.  This is a place for celebrations,  not accusation.  I hold no bias against any one Betazoids or Romulans.  Through out my travels I have learned that ALL races have there own point of honor.  Though it differs from ours it is there.  If you feel this must be settled then settle it now, or if  you cant see past yourselves to know that blood has nothing  to do with the men you are then I suggest  you should take a good look at your selves.  You are both great men with honor and are Klingon in heart and that is all that matters.”

She cast a cold look around the room before resting her eyes on the two men in question.

QaraH watched the small Klingon female and could do nothing but wonder at her.  She believed this was K'Hare, the real K'Hare.  She saw the look in his eyes when he heard the reading from the Terran Qel.

When Ta'pez's warriors began inserting themselves into things she growled, not able to keep herself from speaking.

"Back" Ta'pez said. " This is mine to solve"

She sneered at Ta'pez, but let it be, and she would solve it for him if he did not tell them exactly how foolish they were being.

She had not moved to stand with K'Hare, but the look she shot him made it clear where she stood, and that was at his back, as she always had.

He gave them an agry look and then  turned his attention towards his real enemy.  "K'Hare has a few questions to answer to us all."  He stepped closer positioning himself towards better to speak to all of the klingons. From K'Hare he sensed a row of hatred and anger, he could not tell who it was directed to. Was the tolth engry at being accused of being a duplicate or perhaps  he was angry that his duplicity was discovered.

"There is deciet in this room,  it fouls the event and the stench is all around you" Ta'pez spoke looking at both the tolth and his yaS wa'DIch.

"Prove to us that you are what you claim to be!" Ta'pez shouted for all to hear.

He stepped one final step almost within blade range. "So what do you say tolth'?"

Barnard, the station’s chief of security, was unhappy, though that feeling didn’t show through in either her rigid, commanding stance or her cold, watchful gaze.

There were many reasons for this, but the most immediate was that she was here, watching what could very well turn into a full-scale brawl, and she had to be neutral about it. Diplomatic. She had come with the group personally because of the high profile of those gathered here. The thought of trying to be diplomatic in any possible confrontation with them seemed a difficult prospect at best.

On one hand, if a riot did start, wading in and bashing a few skulls might actually make her feel better in some ways, but she couldn’t let that happen. She understood the importance of order. She didn’t understand exactly what all the uproar was about – she’d only heard what they’d been told over the comm. badge and the sounds garnered from the background – but she didn’t plan on ignoring a call from a Rear Admiral. There seemed to be a lot of them floating around these days.

Now accusations and threats – or the next thing to threats – were still being passed back and forth. There was no fighting though, not yet. The officers with her stayed where they were, watching, alert but not acting – not until she gave them an order, a gesture, something of the kind.

For now, they watched and waited, in case things got out of hand.

K'Hare looked at the three underlings of ta'pez and almost laughed.  There was little room on this stage for the crowd around ta'pez and the table and the honored guests who had stood back.

He looked at ta'pez.  "I told you that the issues between you and I were in the past... that I would now judge you solely on your actions starting today.  Reign in your targhmey, before I must act."

Without pause, he turned to the one who had insulted him.  "Pup, if you take issue with me, then face me, but whatever I am, I know my job.  You show either your dishonor or your ignorance standing up here.  The job of a body guard is to prevent assassination, not a challenge.  There is no reason for you to stand there."

K'Hare turned his back on them and started walking off the stage.  As he left he addressed the two security officers.  "Come on boys, let's go figure this out somewhere less crowded."

He exited the large room with be'eQarah, armed, at his back, the two security officers and Taylor and some of his crew following behind.

G'Trell had heard enough.  Ta'Pez HoD had basically excused her from this mess and she was more than happy for it.  Shaking her head in discussed she made for the door not being to gentle as she moved through the crowd to the door. “pup”  She was openly insulted.  Let them have there tiff.  She had fulfilled her duty bottom line and this Khare had no place telling HER what it was.  She had spoken her piece. If they where to ignorant to hear the logic so be it.  What hurt most though was the open disrespect from her HoD.  Pushing through the door she headed to the training room to let off some steam.

OFF: Actually I think K'Hare was refering to K'Tar who was openly disrespectful to one of such higher rank and experience than he, that if this was not a Federation base, he would likely have been gutted on the spot, no matter what sort of revelation provoked his outburst.

This is getting quite fun now, to bad I can't get my character embroiled in this mess. Smiley

OFF:  Well G'Trell is glad to be done with it for now .  She may beable to channle this anger in her first bout.  Depends on how quickly Ta'pez HoD clears his slate with her.  She is more mad at him right now then ether of them.   Smiley

Becareful who's toes you step on before your bouts.  You may just hang yourself.    Grin  -word to the wise- why fight with honor against a man who has none or shows none whatever the case.   No insult intended.

Ta'pez swore under his breath, who was that dirt farmer anyways to dismiss him like some servant. This was not over, it was just beggining.

He turned around angrily towards his weHwI', their lack of discipline had angered him, yet at the same time they had shown their loyalty, and Ta'pez valued loyalty over all else among his crew.

In the confusion, Ing circumspectly approached K'Grath. Remembering his training in interacting with Klingons, Ing steeled himself.

"K'Grath totlh. You spent most of the afternoon in K'Hare's company. There is some concern that he could be an imposter. If he has not been out of your company in the past few hours, and you have discussed details in that time which an imposter would not know, your attesting to that would go a long ways towards clearing him."

Ing was still holding his odd piece of equipment. He had to consciously restrain himself from fiddling with it, it was important to appear decisive.

He hoped to get K'Grath to accompany the group with K'Hare to station security.

Ness took a sigh of relief, throughout the incident he had continually thought, his d'k tahg was right in a place he could reach it.  If his HoD had come into any danger, he would've attacked K'Hare or anyone else who threatened him.  He knew it would have been probably be a futile attempt, against someone like K'Hare, but he would've tried had it escalated further.

Ta'pez wanted to return to drinking that night, after all the exitement he felt empty and annoyed.

However PoQ came into the room obviously wishing to speak to him.

Ta'pez motioned for him to come forth and after a a few exchanged sentences Ta'pez simply nodded and turned towards the rest of the guests seated at the table.

"Thank you for your company tonight, but there are important matters I must handle eslewhere."
Ta'pez said.

The warriors nodded bade Ta'pez away and returned their attention to their bloodwine.

Ta'pez turned around and left the Hall with PoQ.

OFF:

I didn't want to post for K'Grath since he is a PC but he would do something.

ON:

"Ing, your loyalty is reassuring.  K'Hare's interest in you seems warrented."  K'Grath considered the words of the student.  "You are correct.  Let's go."

OFF:

Does anyone from the station want to resolve this?  If so, start a scene where station security has K'Hare in custody.  Otherwise, I will do something with Taylor.  (He is sick so isn't posting as often.  Be careful tagging him.)

Valren, Wade, want to get involved?

Quote from Dan   on Feb 11th, 2005, 1:12pm:
ON

Taylor watched as the Klingon who had tried to speak with him earlier lost her temper, shouting she demanded nearly everyone leave the room. He had to agree with her sentiment even if he wasn’t keen on the way she expressed it.

“I must agree with the sentiment, this is not a matter for all and sundry to be involved in. However I think that it is we who should leave not everyone else” He motioned towards Tlai, K’Hare and the others still in the room “We will retire to another location to solve this issue, perhaps the security centre would be a better place for this? I’m sure our host will want to be involved in this.”

He turned away and took a step towards the door before turning back "Everyone else should stay and enjoy whats left of the meal"

OFF

OOC:

They posted it, people read it, people responded.  A minor edit is one thing, but I know I will remember the actions and may act on them later.

If people start removing posts and changing the past while others have reacted, we can't have a cohesive story.

We all do things and want to take them back... call it too much bloodwine.
