G’Trell stepped into the ring, her heart was drumming like never before, her pulse pounding in her ears drowning out the cheers of the surrounding warriors. She raised her eyes to the site of her enemy, a large male Klingon. His metal armor dented and scratched. The marks of a warrior she was impressed at this because of his apparent young age. Her gaze rested on his smug smirk. He obviously thought she was going to be easy game. She smiled his over confidence will be his undoing. She had fought opponents larger than he. She would relish the challenge his dark eyes promised. Slipping into a ready stance which only allowed him to tower over her more. Jak’Lor smirked when he saw the tiny female Klingon enter the ring. Her thin frame suggesting she was weak. Her stance only concreted his thoughts it seemed that she could barely hold the blade in a proper defensive position. He chuckled. “Do yourself a favor little girl and step out before I throw you out.” G’Trell smirked “Poor boy you are in way over your head.” This caused her opponent to growl and he fell into a attack position. “ I am gonna enjoy ripping you apart!” G’Trell laughed at his remark. She could not believe he was so easily moved to anger. It was obviously the last straw for her young opponent. “Your blood will mark my blade!” He rushed in rather clumsily and she deflected his attack and was able to actually turn it into a attack. As his blade came down on hers she turned it on its flat edge his blade slipped off from his force and the flat of her blade hit his lowered head. She stepped back with a chuckle as Jak tried to get his bearings. “To first blood it is” She mused. She looked over at the judges a moment to make sure they had heard her. “ Though I do wish you would be more careful, I would like to at least get a decent warm up from you.” Jak got to his feet infuriated that she had humiliated him so. A lucky shot that was all it had been. He caught a glimpse of his father in the crowd, he was shaking his head. Jak didn’t care all he needed to do was cut her and he would win. He looked at her through dilated eyes. Then attacked again pushing her back a few paces. He let out a cry of triumph as he moved in for the finish but his cry turned to a groan as he found himself on the mat with that woman standing over him. G’Trell hated to do it. But he was getting to carried away. His swings where god awfully uncoordinated and came close to hacking her head off a few times. She side stepped a wry swing and rolled in behind him her blade came down on his head and he dropped again to the floor. Disappointed she stood over him and with a shack of her head ran the sharp edge of her blade over his young face then held it up for the judges to see. She then looked down at the young warrior her face serious as she held out a hand to help him up. He knocked it away and rolled to his feet. “You did not win! You cheated!” G’Trell sucked in her breath and looked over at the judges and weighed her words carefully. “Careful young warrior and think before you speak. Don’t dishonor yourself or your house by being foolish.” Jak spat at her feet. “You are a cheat.” G’Trell shook her head “Think what you must to salvage your pride. But say that again and I will be forced to teach you a lesson you WONT walk away from.” It was then a new voice broke in. An elderly Klingon from the crowd. “Jak’Lor bIjatlh 'e' yImev .” The young Klingon flinched and looked over at the man. “She fought with honor.” The common words seemed strained from him. “Let this pass.” Jak Gave G’Trell one last look before leavening the circle. She shook her head. All the thrill of victory gone, she slipped away into the crowd to find an exit that would lead her to a much needed drink.
