ON. Competition Arena. Davidian and Julianna entered the Arena, and headed for the competitor's training rooms. Davidian found a seat, and began stretching again. He stretched his neck out, and began to go through his routine check, to see if there were going to be any problems with his body during the fight. It was a simple match. Wham-Bam, thankyou Ma'am. Davidian growled, and outstretched his hand. Julianna handed her brother a big roll of white gauze tape, which Davidian then used to tape his forearms up, stopping just below his elbows. He took a pair of black punching mitts out of his training bag, and slid them onto his hands. They were fingerless, so his "claws" were still visible. He stood up, and stretched his neck. He was going to easily proceed through to the next round. By any means necessary. Stepping towards the door, he shook out all the niggles he had in his body, and rubbed his padded hands. Just like training with the Third Eye, he thought. Just like training.. Luna, 4 years ago. "Davidian! Show the recruits how to use an axe!" The Third Eye weapons instructor, Josep ordered. Davidian bowed, and took an axe from the weapons rack. Walking to the centre of the Dojo, he stood perfectly still. "Blindfold, Please, Josep." He asked. Josep walked over to the hairy, axe-wielding man, and tied a black blindfold over his eyes. Davidian nodded, and adjusted his grip on the axe. "Now, Davidian, show us Ki-One." Josep asked. Davidian nodded again, and spun the axe over his head. As it spun, Davidian's feet adjusted into a leaning stance. Once he got the stance he wanted, Davidian lept into the air, still spinning the axe above his head. He adjusted his weight to allow him to spin at exactly the same time with the axe. Reaching the ground, he brought the head of the axe into the ground, with a loud thud. Davidian released his grip of the axe, and returned to his normal stance. The trainees applauded, and Davidian took the blindfold off. He bowed to the group, and smiled. "Thankyou. Now, Ki-One is a dangerous move when done incorrectly. If I was to spin too much, I would lose my direction, and injure an innocent. You do not want to do that." He nodded. Josep nodded as well. "Davidian brings up a good point. If someone is not directly endangering the Third Eye's business, then we do not worry with them. Thankyou, Davidian." Josep bowed to Davidian, who pulled the axe out of the ground. Throwing it over his shoulder, he walked over to the Weapon rack, and placed the axe back in it's position. He exhaled deeply. Ki-One was a exhausting move. He wiped the sweat off his brow with his arm, and began to walk out of the dojo. As he reached the door, he heard a loud banging noise, followed by a siren. "CAITIANS! COMING IN FROM THE WEST ENTRY!" An announcement came over the PA system. Davidian took the same axe he had used to show the recruits Ki-One, and headed out of the dojo, sprinting to the West Entry. Reaching there he... Competition Arena. Davidian snapped awake again. He didn't want things to go the same way they had gone that day. He coughed, and began waiting for his announcement. "Ladies and Gentlemen," the announcer began, "our next match is another qualifying match. Introducing first, From New Berlin, Weighing in at 216 pounds, and being accompanied to the match by his trainer, Julianna, DAVIDIAN!" Davidian and Julianna walked out into the fighting area, and looked around. There were many people here, watching the fights. He walked over to his "Corner" and began stretching his arms. Julianna opened the case she was carrying, and took out a Bat'Leth she had "borrowed" from some Klingons. The same Klingons who had the "run-in" with Davidian. Davidian looked at the Bat'Leth, and recognised it. He raised an eyebrow, and Julianna just nodded. He picked it up, and began swinging it around. "Introducing the other competitor," The Announcer continued, "From Earth, weighing in at 180 pounds, Ensign Jakson, from the USS Brando!" Davidian looked up, and instead of seeing a human, he saw a Caitian. Davidian gulped. Things just got harder. He had Claws, Jakson had Claws. The only thing Jakson had on Davidian was his tail. He walked over to the center of the fighting area, and extended his hand to the Caitian. "Good Luck." He growled. "You two, Mr Davidian." The Caitian replied, shaking Davidian's hand. OFF. Tomorrow: The Exciting Conclusion!
