ON: Bat'leth Tournament The arena was big and loud. As Lieutenant T'Linda adjusted her battle uniform, she held her Bat'leth in the antechamber waiting to be introduced. Closing her eyes, the 1/2 Vulcan drifted into a mild meditation. Calmness, serene, disciplined. Exicuting every move she had been taught by her elder K'tchen, remembering honor is as important as skill. Or as her Mother would say, "it's not if you win or loose, it's how you play the game." T'Linda's eyes opened as she heard from the loud speakers...USS Peacemaker, Lieutenant T'Linda.......the roar of the crowd erupted as she entered to see throngs of beings, she spotted her commanding officer, Vice Admiral Pike in the gallery of dignitaries giving her a "thumbs up" he called it. An old Earth hand signal for encouragement and approval. "Fleet Admiral Tomas Wolfe" The crowd erupted once again as her opponent entered the battle arena. As the crowd quieted, the ranking Klingon Official on the floor spoke Klingon, with the universal translators working overtime in the auditorium. KO: Ready......Success to the strong!......BEGIN! As T'Linda took her stance to honor her opponent as she had been taught all those many years ago, Wolfe advanced and executed a near flawless attack, catching T'Linda's left forearm as she evaded the attack. Almost as flawless was her counter attack, but was anticipated by Wolfe, blocking the Bat'leth. The battle continued, with both participants implementing text moves, with Wolfe the obvious superior, countering almost every advance from the Lieutenant, almost as if a targ playing with it's prey, just waiting, prolonging the execution of it's prey. The half Klingon toyed with his opponent who’s skills were good, and obviously taught by an experienced teacher, began to grow tired of the demonstration with a swift K'mpec move, reversing his Bat'leth, catching the back of T'Linda's left knee, forcing all her weight on the unsuspecting limb, forcing her to drop to the deck, the delivering the death blow to her sternum. The crowd applauded and cheered, but the large Klingon contingent, were the quietest of all from this matches battle. OFF: Lieutenant T'Linda Admirals Yeoman USS Peacemaker
