Before Reynolds could respond to Tauvits' remark he had collapsed on the ground, having been stunned by a security officer nearby. The security officer, and one of his colleagues, promptly gathered up Captain Reynolds and escorted him to the brig where he would remain for the duration of the tournament.

"Yeah, like that. Security can be touchy sometimes." Then he turned back to the table, gestured for another whiskey, and settled down for a calm night of further inebriation.
