Ta’pez was silently sitting in his chambers drunk with agony of the past. He was soon to be joH, a burden he had never wished upon himself. And yet here it was all him and it felt so lonely and bitter. For the first time Ta’pez understood what old Chang had meant. For the 1st time he realized that why the burden was something he had not wished upon his daughter. He had drunk much, much more then the first night and yet I had not helped. Ta’pez was seeking refuge from the realizations swirling within his mind and nothing had helped. Even after his agreement with PoQ, he felt alone. The old man was a good administrator and even leader, but ultimately Ta’pez was the one who would have to step up to the plate and assume this new and heavy burden. She was not leaking her thoughts, or sending them out freely like most of the mind dead. Ta’pez chuckled, he had thought her well, but hiding from him she could not. “Who would have thought you would have remembered” Ta’pez said. “I thought you found such skills repugnant.” She came closer, the darkness still hiding her face. “One should never forget useful things, your lessons were never useless ta’pez, we both know that.” “Neither were yours be’thal.” Ta’pez replied in a husk tone. “I thought you found such skills repugnant.” Be’thal said with a smirk that showed in her tone and warmth of voice. Ta’pez foundhimself laughing and lust reared within him, lust he had thought long forgotten, buried within. “So what bring you to me at this hour?” Ta’pez asked. tbc...
