I don't want to turn it into a poularity contest either. Someone could go around and collect latinum from 5 other people and suddenly have 3000 slips without placing a bet...

So I'm thinking either:
a) No transfers allowed.
or
b) Only payouts can be transferred, but not any of the initial 500 slips. So you can only get money from active participants.

60 on K'Tar match at 1:4 pays 67
60 on Ta'pez match at 1:4 pays 67
30 on Tal'Vur match at 1:5 pays 32
Remaining Latinum: 350 slips

You are more than welcome to bet both sides of a match. The house will be quite happy to collect your fees.

For example, Ta'pez is a 4:1 favorite, so placing 80 on Ta'pez (pays 1:4) would win you 90. Placing 20 on his opponent (at 4:1) would also win you 90. So for a total bet of 100, the house takes 10% in fees (10), and you are guaranteed to get the other 90 back.
