"I'm hungy," Taj said to T'lai as they were walking in the corridor, keeping an eye on each other. T'Lai rolled her eyes. "So deal with it." She snapped. "I got to practice for my next round." She snapped. Her voice was cold and harsh, as though she was ready to slice Taj in half with her Bat'leth "I am going to the bar. As you, a criminal, are not allowed out of my sight, you are coming with me," Taj said T'Lai looked at him and crossed her arms. "And who do you think you are telling me what to do? I am older than you, there forth, what I say goes. And I say I am going to go practice. And who are you to call me a criminal when you're one too. Or is breaking and entering not a crime in this world?" She sneared. "Come with me to practice first, then you can eat till your hearts content." She demanded. "Fine," Taj said, "but you are still a murderer." "And you're still a criminal." She retorted. "I was conducting a murder investigation," Taj replied, "and if you have a problem with me searching your quarters, you must have known you had something to hide." "What I have a problem with," She paused and faced Taj, whom was only a couple of feet away from her. "Is the fact that you" She paused and poked him hard in the chest. She then continued. "Went through my stuff without my authority, and without your father's authority." She snapped. "I suspected you," Taj said, "That is enough." "If you wanted to 'investigate' you should have asked me permission to go through my things. I would have gladly let you for I have NOTHING to hide." She said. She then turned back around and began to walk down the hallway. Before they knew it, they had arrived at the practice arena. "Apparently, you did have something to hide," Taj said as he picked up his bat'leth. "Oh did I? Everybody in this house knows that I don't want to be here. They know that I didn't get along with Chang too well. And they know all about me. Yet I know nothing about anybody in this STUPID. RETARDED. House known as Chang!" She said in a loud tone of voice. "I have nothing to hide if everybody knows everything about me. It isn't FAIR!" She said as she withdrew her bat'leth. "You had armor with Chang's blood on it in your quarters!" Taj shot back. "Just because there was armor with his blood on it, doesn't mean that I put it there. If you know anything about investigations, you should know that you NEVER assume anything." She snapped. "Who else has access to your quarters?" Taj asked, "I broke in, yes, but I had to leave some tell-tale signs. There were no signs of forced entry before I searched your quarters." "You blindly accused me of something you know nothing about. You only assumed because of my past history with Chang. And, its none of your darned business who has access to my quarters." She snapped. "You are a fool, not a warrior. And for that." She paused for a brief moment and looked him down. Her eyes narrowed to a dark and sharp glare that felt like ice going through your heart. "I hate you." She growled. Taj held up his bat'leth, "Want to express some of that anger?" "T'Lai stood up straight. "No. Only a fool fights through anger." She said. "Well, fight logically then," Taj said as he attacked. Very quickly T'Lai blocked his attack and easily pushed him off her blade. "I am still hungry," Taj said, "If you don't wish to fight, then we should go to eat." "Oh so now you're too... what's that word that human used..." She paused a moment to think. "You're too chicken to face me?" She said with fire in her eyes. "Attack me and see how scared I am," Taj said. No sooner had Taj finished his sentance, T'Lai swong at him swiftly and skillfully, aiming for his chest. Taj blocked and twisted his bat'leth around hers. T'Lai was taken back from the move, how ever as she lost grip of her bat'leth, she immediately rolled over and caught it then jumped up in a defensive position. "Is that the best you got kid?" She asked. "Not a chance," Taj replied, as he swung his bat'leth towards her neck. T'Lai easily blocked the swing, and then swong at his right arm after she pushed him away from her again. Taj barely blocked it. "You're pretty good. I can see how you would be able to manage to kill Chang," Taj said. She then remained silent and swong at his other arm, not giving him time to block her next move. The blade penetrated his left arm. The pain seared through his nerves. "You have no honor, T'lai. You are trying to make it impossible to stop you when you run from me like a coward," Taj'vl accused. T'Lai sliced his arm, but did not cut it very deep for she held her strength back for the young klingon, unsure of how strong he was. "Stop what? If I had no honor, I would have sliced your arm off." She said. "Of course, then again you're right. I have no honor. There forth I am free. I am free to do what is in my will and blood to do. I can decide what is right and wrong. Not Honor." She sneared. Taj replied simply with a swing of his bat'leth. T'Lai quickly blocked the attack. "And besides. I would never kill a man that is on his death bed. That is just wrong." She said. "I am not about to die," Taj said as he swung again. "I was referring to Chang, you idiot." She said as she blocked his attack. "We must go to sickbay," Taj said, "I need to be prepared to kill you if you betray us again." He lowered his blade as he stepped out of the ring. T'Lai rolled her eyes. "You're no warrior. You are a coward." She sneared as she stood there. "You killed your joH because you disagreed with him. You are no better than a Romulan," Taj sneered back, "I need to be prepared to kill you. Though now that I think about it, We don't need to go to sickbay. I could kill you with one hand any day." T'Lai looked at Taj. "If you kill me now, you will be killed too." She said coldly. "Not by me or my minions, But by my HoD. For I didnt kill OUR JoH. I have no reason to." She said, deciding to add some dirt into the hole that Taj was digging her in. "Your history is well known," Taj retorted "What does that have to do with this? You know what. I should have never came here in the first place. Ta'pez was wrong. He said I would be accepted into this house, but obviously I am not." She said. She then threw her bat'leth down at the floor. It slid across the floor and landed a few inches away from Taj's feet. "Well, forgive me for even bothering to try. And while you're at it, excuse me for even attempting to take Chang's advice. I guess all you care about is my past. All you want is for me to be dead. So you can clame glory and be that 'warrior' you've always dreamed of. You never seem to think about anybody but yourself." She said. "No one even WANTS to try to get to know me now. No one gives a crap about who I've come to be and how I'm trying to gain people's respect. You dont give a care that I am alive right now, and I am here right now, and I am willing to TRY to be apart of this family. You dont even care that Tapez made me his first officer. One of the most honorable positions aboard a starship when he could have easily thrown me in the brig and had me tossed in the stacades." She said. Her voice was more hurt as she continued. "I was willing to throw my life away to meet this family. It's the only family I have. Atleast you have a father you can turn to. I have no one. Weather or not you like it you're stuck with me. So deal with it." She said. "It is not effective to earn someone's respect by killing their joH," Taj said. T'Lai looked at Taj with a very hurt expression and walked up to him. She then slapped him harshly across his right cheek. "How dare you." She growled. Taj didn't respond. "You have no honor." She said before heading towards the door. "Let's go." She sneared, holding back her fiery anger. Taj just followed silently. He had a lot to think about. The evidence was clear. T'lai had murdered the joH. But she didn't seem like a dishonorable murderer. Did she kill Chang? Was this all an elaborate act? Or had he wrongly accused Ta'pez's first officer?
