G'Trell was about readyto leave her quarters when the message board came alive. Blinking and beeping. She checked and noted the message was for her. a live channle from the Crazy Horse from her sister Serina.
"Just great, I wounder what she wants." G'Trell growled. Her sister hated her. and for a moment G'Trell was temped to not anwser the message. But She could not ignor the woman forever besides she must have went through a lot of trouble to track her down. With a sigh G'Trell accepted the message and soon was looking at the pale tired looking face of her little foster sister.
"I have a hang over from hell, if you called here to yell at me I will hang up on you. So what is it?" G'Trell was suprised to see tears fall from her sisters eyes. "Serina" She said softer, "Whats happend?"
Serina shook her head " Nothings is wrong. I am just...Well I called because I missed you and I I want to talk to you about some things."
G'Trell was taken back by the womans soft spokeness. Never in their whole lives had they had a "pleasant" conversation. Normaly due to Serina's utter lack of control and burnning jelousy. Something was wrong. G'Trell chose her words carefully. " I will listen Rina, I just have to know one thing. Whats this about?"
The woman pushed a few of her red locks away from her face. "us."
G'Trell nodded. "Go ahead then."
Serina half smiled. " I dont know where to start, I...I have been doing a lot of thinking these past two days and I reilized that...Well I never gave you a chance. I mean I was always so jelous of you, The way my dad always talked about you...It use to drive me crazy...I always felt that...That I had to be better than you. That I could some how winn my parents back if I pushed just a little harder or stood out more.... I was...I.." That was it The woman on the other side of the screen broke down and started to cry.
G'Trell was thrown off by this. She had not a clue as to what would cause her sister to confess like this. It frightened her in a way. "Serina are you in some kind of trouble? Do you need me to come get you?"
Serina shook her head. " I was so stupid, I could have learned so much from you. You never once crossed me with a bitter word that I did not diserve. I see my daughter Amberly and my future children and I dont want them to do what I did, I dont want them to hate Amberly like I did you. I love her so much and I love you. Please forgive me G'Trell."
G'Trell felt her heart stop for a moment. She was not sure how to take this. It was so sudden. She had never felt resentment for her humon half sister. She was the only family G'Trell had left in the world. This was a god sent a chance for a fresh start. " There is nothing to forgive Rina, I...I love you as well and look forward to shore leave when I can come and see you again. We can do some trainning and catch up on old times."
Serina looked around a moment then returned her attenchion to the screen. " I would like that. Thank you. Now I have to go."
"wait a sec Sticks, I just want you too know something before you go. Your parents... Your parents talked about you often and with pride. You where a mirical in thier lives. Your mother was never ment to have children, Thats why he adopted me, I have to confess when you where born I felt my bite of jelousy to. But your father told me he that part of being a warrior is learning to over come bitter feelings so you can learn from those you deam better. This is how you rise above and become a better person. Life is not a competion, Its a mirror thats relfection changes as we grow. You make me proud and always have, despite your trouble streak. You also make your parents proud and now your father will rest peacfully knowing that he has done well. His daughters will survive."
Serina smiled through her tears. " You have no idea how much that means to me. I must go now. I love you sis good luck on your fight."
Before G'Trell could reply the screen went black. G'Trell lay her head on the desk trying to figure out what could be happening.
