Where did all the time go?
« on: Feb 24th, 2005, 4:23pm »

Admiral Durkis woke early on the day of the finals.  What had happened he thought to himself.  It seemed to him every year with the competition he got caught up in work and everything else that he didn't get the chance to see as many people as he wanted.  It was a trap he couldn't seem to avoid.

Outside of tending to the Competition work, Wade had made many trips to the Saturn to deal with the various problems the ship had with the refit.  It had taken up so much of his time that he didn't get to mingle as much as he wanted.  A necessary evil he thought.

This morning he was going to meet with the Ferengi Asiv.  He had to pospond their meeting a couple of times already but Asiv didn't mind one bit.  He had already been trading and betting with whom every he could and was not in a hurry to leave.

The door to Wade's quest quarters chimed and Asiv entered with two security officers. One of the officers was holding a case in his hands.

Security One: Sir. We received your orders.  The case has been checked for contra band and has checked out.

Asiv: Of course it did! You take me for a fool.

Asiv snarled as he took the case from the security guard.  Wade thanked the guards for the assistence and they left.

Asiv: So nice to finally meet with you Admiral.  Your a busy man to corner.

Durkis:But you have not doubt made yourself comfortable while you waited for me.  I see a few extra charges have been added to my tab.

Asiv: Consider it a holding fee for the extra time I spent waiting but it is nothing you can't afford a Admiral!

Durkis: Alright let's see it.

Asiv: Of course *sets the case down and opens it* You asked for the rarest and best I can find and here it is.

Wade looked  over the bottle of blood wine.  He instantly grew upset as he examined the bottle.

Durkis: Asiv, you are a fool if you think you are going to pull something on me.

Asiv:Admiral, What do you mean? This is some of the rarest bloodwine out there...

Durkis: I told you I wanted the exact same stuff I gave to K'hare last year didn't I?

Asiv: Well you see...

Durkis: *Taking a step close* And you said you could get me the same stuff. *Holds the bottle up* Yet this is not the same is it

Asiv: It is close.

Durkis: But not the same.

Asiv: Admiral, sir I tried, it is just my source didn't have any more so I went out and got you this bottle. It too is very rare I assure you.

Durkis: But not what I asked for and not anywhere near the price I paid. Is it?

Asiv: It is some where around the price.

Durkis: Asiv, there are a bunch of upset warriors who lost their matches and would love to have a sparing partner to sharpen their skills for next year.  Which one would you like to report too.

Asiv: Ok..Ok. I'll make it up to you I swear.

Durkis: For starters. I will keep this bottle of bloodwine. But you owe me more.

Asiv: Of course. Name it.

Durkis: I have too of my crewman that competed this year. You know them.

Asiv:Yes, Bernard and Tal'vur.

Durkis:I want something sent to them.  Gifts for a job well done.  Fine something and make sure they get it.

Asiv: I will

Durkis: And it better be good.  If you try and jip me I'll hunt you down with task forces 9 and 44 combined, you got me.

Asiv: Yes sir.

The ferengi left quickly and was escorted back out by security while Wade finished preparing for his day.
