What's happened in this tournament that you didn't expect? For your characters, and in general? What took place which you wouldn't have ever predicted but which made absolute sense... or not?... at the time? Let's reminisce until next year... I never expected Tauvits and Ta'pez to strike up a friendship, let alone embark on committing semi-murder (legally, morally, etc...?) together... they were meant to be room-mates, but we never got around to specifically stating it. I never expected Tauvits to sing on a bar-stool, however drunk he was. He's never done that before, so it confused me when he insisted. I never expected Q'ol and Ta'pez to be beaten by anyone other than each other. I never expected to be knocked out in my first PC round, but then I lost to the champion so it's less embarrassing. Besides, Tauvits over-stretched himself last year, so it balances out. I never expected Tauvits' betleH to break. That happened literally on a whim. A slightly planned whim, but one moment I thought "Hey, that's fun!" and the next I was doing it. I never expected to get Reynolds thrown in the brig. Or just to witness it, but the IC image it produced of Tauvits watching security stun the guy whilst he calmly sipped on his pint amused me enough. I never expected to end up betting all of my money on one person, and CERTAINLY never expected that one person to then go on and prod so much buttock (Pratchett reference, before my phrasing scares anyone). I think O'Donnell stole my luck and dirty fighting of last year, though Tauvits had the decency to go down honourably. I never expected to find myself talking so much about Klingon honour and the interpretation of it when discussing the final match with people OOC. K'Hare has finally indoctrinated me, I think. Oh, and I never expected to beat up a drunken flag officer... I do believe that's it. Share your thoughts, people.
