((This occures just before the ending ceremonies and during the middle of the final match))

:: ON::

T'Lai knew that the last match was almost over and she needed to talk to M'Rek before they departed, for she felt in her gut intuition, that she would be very busy, and wouldn't have enough free time to tell him what was on her mind. So without warning, she marched over to where M'Rek was, and tapped on his shoulder, interupting what ever it was he was doing at that moment in time. "We need to talk. Now." She told him cooly.

M'Rek looked to T'Lai and excused himself from the talk with Saj. "Where do you wish to talk?"

"Some where in private." She said.

M'Rek nodded and led her out od the room finding someplace where they would not be looked upon or overheard. "What do you want?" He stated.

T'Lai looked at him with a deep stare. She then suddenly leaned in and kissed him passionately on the lips. The kiss was so emotionally filled, that even M'Rek could tell she meant to kiss him on purpose.

M'Rek was surprised and at same time he knew he shouldn't. He pushed himself back and turned away, clearly shaken.

T'Lai stumbled slightly, for she was slightly taken aback from him pushing her away, but she quickly regained her composure. "I cant ignore my feelings for you." She told him.

"T'Lai. I can't do this! I can't turn back from what has begun... nor do I want to..." He growled lowly with frustration.

"Tell me, M'Rek. What has begun?" She asked him in a dark voice.

"Yesterday she made herself available to me. Put the decision before me. Even told me of her weaknesses. I accepted her." He sighed, "I accepted her not because of any status or rank. Not because she demanded it. She did the oposit. She tried to discurage me. I accepted her because what I see is is much different and much greater than anyone else sees!" He was strugling to put a hold on the emotions that raged inside of him.

T'Lai's eyes narrowed to a glare. She growled at him. "And I didn't make myself available to you?" She growled. It just so happened that the room they was in was the storage room for the kitchen. T'Lai was standing near a shelf with plates that break easily. She grabbed a couple of plates and threw them at M'Rek. "I have tried everything to get you to accept me. But you wont!" She said in a hurt voice. "Do you not see that someone just as caring, cares about you? Or are you dumb and blind?" She said.

M'Rek ignored the plates. "Perhapse I am." He said lowly. Then not likeing what was to come out next he said it anyways. "I've had enough of this fighting. If you can't except it as it is, then don't bother me! Ignore me all you want. Get angry! But don't come to me again. If that is how it is going to be."

T'lai looked at him with a very hurt expression. She withdrew her daq'tagh and walked up to him, and put the tip of the blade at his neck. "This still is not going to solve anything." She said. "But killing you would." She said in a deadly tone of voice.

M'Rek met her eyes, there was no fear there, only pain. "Then kill me if that is what you have to do. "

T'Lai pressed the tip of her blade up against his neck even further, but withdrew, not peircing the skin. She then looked at him deep in the eyes as she took his hand without his permission. She forced him to open his clenched fist, and took her blade, and sliced the palm of her hand. As she did, blood started to trinkle down it. "This is a reminder of how stupid you are to not see I was making myself available to you. If you didn't know it then, you sure as hell know it now." She said.

T'Lai then turned the same hand over and made a deep slice on the back of his hand, one that was so deep she made sure it'd leave a scar. She then made another cut, so it looked like an arrow. "And this is to remind you of the pain you caused me. Every time you see this scar, I pray that it will make you hurt even more than the blade of my dagger, for this pain you feel, is nothing compared to the pain I feel deep in my heart. I hope you NEVER forget that I do love you, and every time you make yourself available to someone else, I hope it hurts you so much that you..." She trailed off, not finishing her sentance. She looked at him with eyes that were filled of hurt emotion. She then sheathed her dagger back in it's sheath and slapped his cheek. After that she left the room.

M'Rek simply stood there looking at the dark purple blood that ran from the fresh cuts.  In seeming shock he finally turned and started towards somewhere he could clean up.

The end.

This JP was brought to you by M'Rek, and T'Lai of the meH'Haj.
