Kieran had sent Q'ol a message via Xavier's comnet, asking her to show up at the Legion. He wanted to apologise to her for the way he fought, and explain why. Q'olavraH was in the quarters that she and wovqut were sharing putting the girl to bed when she got Kieran's message to meet him for a late supper in the Legion. She felt a twinge of anger that he had the nerve to ask her to drink with him after the way he'd fought against her. She fought this down, and decided to go and see what he had to say. If nothing else, she could use some food and drink. She sent him back a reply saying she would be there. So, Kieran arrived at the Legion in civillian clothes, and looked around for his ex-ship mate. Kieran noticed that Q'ol had yet to arrive, and waited for her, finding a seat at the bar, and ordering water as he waited for K'rahl's wife to arrive. Q'ol entered the Legion and after the eyes scanned the room for any threat she moved to the bar and settled on a stool next to Kieran. She grabbed the bloodwine that the barkeep knew to bring for her and swigged half then looked at the son of Michael. Looking at the barkeep, Kieran said, "Put that and what ever else she would like on my tab." The barkeep nodded and left. Kieran looked at Q'ol and said, "I suspect that you are quite angry with me for taking advantage of you when we fought? Would it help if I told you that I was hoping that I would't have had to fight you so early in the tournament?" Q'ol took another small swallow and swished the very good bloodwine around her mouth before swallowing. "It was my own mistakes that allowed me to be defeated.... as for when we met in the tournament, that is left to fate and so we have no control over it. You are quite good with the betleH, though I can not figure why you made the choices you made in this tournament, I suppose you have your reasons." She was thinking of his ties with II, but would not say as much. Kieran studied her carefully for a moment, and then said, "I had to fight the Chang, and the fates decided to put you in my way, which I am sorry. I was asked to beat the Chang, to embarrass him here if at all possible, though for reasons not released to me." Kieran replied, searching for the right words to say, quietly, in the bar, without mentioning Meth by name. "I would've fought you with more honor if ta'pez had already been taking care of." Q'olavraH's eyebrows arched upward and she hastily hid her shock from the rest of the bar by taking a drink from her mug, but Kieran could read her, and he would know how he'd shocked her. Once she was able to take a drink and get control of her features she asked very quietly, "But you do not know why? This was for your superiors in the Empire?" "The Changs, like other Houses, have their share of enemies. It is not unknown for rival Houses to use II to embaress their enemies, and sometimes even their allies. As we take oaths of loyalty to the Empire above that of our House, it takes a special being to be a competent II Field Agent. All I was told was that I was 'to take Chang down a peg', to use a Human expression. I suspect that some one wanted Chang to be embarressed here, since he has won the past two years. At first, I thought it might be K'brd'Lok, to avenge you. But my superiors said that it was not. So, I am assuming that it is some other House or faction within the Empire at work." Q'olavraH nodded and took a sip. "I do not think K'brd'lok would stoop to using II, not if my intelligence of their house is correct." Now was not the time to discuss her own suspicions, even if she thought Kieran might have information she would be interested in about K'Trol and Sinatra and that whole mess. "I wish there was a way to find out who wanted him publicly humiliated.. I would send them a keg of good bloodwine!" She smiled. Kieran smiled, and said, "I do not want there to be any hard feelings between our Houses, Q'ol, so that is why I have asked you here, to explain things in this non-Klingon fashion." "If I ever find out, I will be sure to tell you." Kieran replied. Q'olavraH chuckled at that. "Only when it is no longer important whether you tell me or not. I will speak to K'rahl about this. May I tell him all you have told me?" "You may, but I would urge you to caution your husband not to share it, not even with his family. Not even with K'Hare, Q'ol." Kieran said. Q'olavraH nodded. K'Hare would find the entire thing dishonorable, but maybe he would see the humor in it as well. "I will be cautious." "The one is appreciative. I hope that K'rahl is not too displease with me, but even he will understand that orders are orders." She nodded, "Indeed he will." "Food?" Q'ol asked. "Food would be good, as there is something else I have to discuss with you. I need some advice." Q'olavraH smiled and waved at the barkeep then told him that they wanted some food, they ordered and then Q'ol gave Kieran her full attention. "Shall we move to a table or is this fine?" "A table would be better for this." The two got up and moved to a table, taking their drinks with them. After they sat down, Kieran pulled out the pip that the Special Operations Commander had given to him and placed it in front of Q'ol.
