Title: big sigs Post by KHare on Jan 15th, 2006, 4:30am What's up with the weird sig of TajvI and how do I ignore it? |
Title: Re: big sigs Post by Tajvl on Jan 15th, 2006, 4:34am It's Taj'vl, not Taj'vI, and if the sig limit wasn't so small, we could use plain text. We could fit it if you gave us 400 characters instead of 200. |
Title: Re: big sigs Post by KHare on Jan 15th, 2006, 4:36am That's a very good question. If you use the latest version of firefox you will find that large sigs are placed into a scrollbox. Effectively, this means sigs have a maximum height. If you use firefox. If you use IE, it doesn't work. So, use firefox! Failing that, register any sig comlaints and I will act. People, be considerate. Put your name, rank, and URL to your bio. Anthing else is lagniappe and not needed. TajvI, that font is horrendous and unnessessarily takes up a lot of space. One complaint and its gone. |
Title: Re: big sigs Post by KHare on Jan 15th, 2006, 4:38am If that's your name, fix it. Changing your name in the profile editor doesn't change your login, just changes how its displayed. |
Title: Re: big sigs Post by Tajvl on Jan 15th, 2006, 4:38am There is a specific 200 character limit on sigs! Make it bigger and I'll change it to plain text immediately. |
Title: Re: big sigs Post by Taj`vl on Jan 15th, 2006, 4:50am BTW, this thread's reply button doesn't show in Firefox, so I had to go back to IE to post. I should point out, that my sig is small enough that the scrollbar only can scroll like 5 pixels anyway. You're making a big deal of it to make a big deal of it. |
Title: Re: big sigs Post by K`Hare totlh on Jan 15th, 2006, 4:58am I see the reply button. And I was picking on you because seeing your sig was what made me think of the sig question. From the BFKC forum, I knew about the firefox/IE behavior difference. Stop being paranoid and don't annoy me to my limit before the tourney even starts. |
Title: Re: big sigs Post by Taj`vl on Jan 15th, 2006, 5:00am Are you that incapable of changing one setting, so I can reduce it to three or four lines of normal text? That's all I need to remove my "big sig" |
Title: Re: big sigs Post by K`Hare totlh on Jan 15th, 2006, 5:32am The sig limit will not be increased. You could do a smaller pic with a nicer font... or not put that in your sig. |
Title: Re: big sigs Post by Taj`vl on Jan 15th, 2006, 10:59am smaller pic I made was unreadable b/c of resolution. if you can make me a viable alternative image, then why don't you do it. |
Title: Re: big sigs Post by Jim Hunter on Jan 24th, 2006, 10:00am Yeah, big sigs are icky. Use this instead. http://www.murraymoves.co.uk/pics/ness.png |
Title: Re: big sigs Post by Taj`vl on Jan 25th, 2006, 12:03am but mine's transparent background, so it doesn't look ****py on these forums, also it is without mistakes and errors like yours. I believe you have made an incorrect association. The word in question is usually associated with K'Hare. |
Title: Re: big sigs Post by K`Hare totlh on Jan 25th, 2006, 1:36am And you don't think that image is ****py? Its a hard to read font and a useless message... but that's just my opinion. Fortunately, firefox handles that for me. |
Title: Re: big sigs Post by Grenn on Jan 25th, 2006, 4:08am I'm on IE, and I get the scroll bar on ness's sig. Donno why, but I do 8-) |

My image is transparent too - you just have an outdated browser. Seriously though, the text you've used for yours is terrible - it's almost illegible and it's distracting from the content of your posts. |
Title: Re: big sigs Post by Grenn on Jan 26th, 2006, 4:40pm No, it is not transparent on an IE browser. It is a png image, which IE does not support. Firefox supports it, but not IE. So I do not see it as transparent either. I'm all for bashing ness ;D, but I have to point out the facts :) |

Hmmm... suprised I am not getting bashed as much. I figure with my month-long ban from the BF Forums, people must be starting to have withdrawal symptoms from terrorizing me so long. |

So the point stands upgrade your browser to something better than IE ;) ~Dan |
Title: Re: big sigs Post by Taj`vl on Jan 27th, 2006, 8:04am I have Firefox. I don't like it. Hence, I don't use it. |
Title: Re: big sigs Post by Tapez on Feb 4th, 2006, 3:08pm i think that image should be removed until we come up with something more graphically pleasing. k'hare u realize that the sig limit doesnt even allow for a table with your signature as per BFKC. |
Title: Re: big sigs Post by KVok on Feb 4th, 2006, 5:16pm Ehh, with the character count limit, I could barely put in a link for my bio... Although I have to admit, the picture is glaring and annoying. It was funny as Ta'pez's away message, but doesn't work as a sig picture. |
Title: Re: big sigs Post by Taj`vl on Feb 5th, 2006, 5:01pm BIG SIGS ISSUE #2: Funky Medals I find these irritating, moreso than my message, especially since a good crew doesn't need to flash around a bunch of colored boxes to show their roleplaying skill. ;) |

u got a pm |
Title: Re: big sigs Post by gtrell on Feb 5th, 2006, 5:16pm Agreed Ness. They say your sig is distracting and annouying. Perhaps they should look at theres. There is nothing wrong with being proud of achevements but thats what charater pages are for. |
Title: Re: big sigs Post by Tapez on Feb 5th, 2006, 5:20pm lets not get into a food fight . Ness will remove his large sig - hopefully the marines in question will remove theirs as well |
Title: Re: big sigs Post by Taj`vl on Feb 5th, 2006, 5:21pm Not just the marines, I think it is the whole DS7 crew. My sig has been removed, as is visible. EDIT: And yes, I'll pull the replacment line, too... |
Title: Re: big sigs Post by Tapez on Feb 5th, 2006, 5:24pm Taj`vl wrote:
are you calling me that... since i requested it as well? |
Title: Re: big sigs Post by Taj`vl on Feb 5th, 2006, 5:26pm Um, no, I am not saying it was to conform to your wishes, I said to theirs. You are acting in the best interests of diplomacy. There is no hypocrisy in that. |
Title: Re: big sigs Post by Tapez on Feb 5th, 2006, 5:27pm it's important for goodwill to be among the crews...keep that in mind - IC you can laugh at them (as you should - foolish flatheads) but ooc i want the highest level of dignity on our end and the highest standards. i think i ve said enough on this. |
Title: Re: big sigs Post by Taj`vl on Feb 5th, 2006, 5:29pm Sig has been changed again, leaving a clear message of my opinion on the issue, but with nothing dangerous written. *grumbles death threats to K'Hare and his cronies* |
Title: Re: big sigs Post by K`Hare totlh on Feb 6th, 2006, 2:35am Tapez wrote:
Nope. I was not aware of that. Now see, that's a good reason to bump up the limit. |
Title: Re: big sigs Post by Tapez on Feb 6th, 2006, 6:38am good - i spent like 20 mins before giving up on it... |
