Title: Haynesworth Pickens Florio versus Kentra Donrav
Post by KentraDonrav on Feb 17th, 2006, 5:23am

OOC:  I tried to PM you about the fight but I couldn't find you in the list.  This is the fight from my perspective, if you want to add your own you can, or if you want to work on a JP PM me.

On:

It was obvious that Kentra was tired from her previous matches.  Fighting nearly every hour was taking its toll and by the fourth fight she had already lost two and won only one fight.  She knew if she had any hope of making the next round, the final 16, she had to win all of her remaining fights.  Her next opponent was Haynesworth Pickens Florio who she had not heard of.  Still he was wearing a gold uniform, so she assumed the worst and that he was in security and security officers tended to be better fighters than communications officers

The round began and she managed to get the first hit, a quick one right at the start.  They then missed a few times, Kentra so keen to get the match over with quickly so she could rest that she was swinging when she normally would be waiting for an opening.  Her opponent managed to get a few solid blows in, and soon she was tired and struggling.

Still she managed to focus on fighting with honour.  There was a few occasions when she could have taken control of the match had she pressed an advantage, but she kept stepping back and allowing him to regain his footing or catch his breath.

In the end Kentra got lucky, and fought smart drawing on Denax's past experience.  Her previous host was almost there as she saw Haynesworth Pickens Florio's swing which she managed to dodge, and then she used that opening to step into him with a mighty blow with her bet'leth, knocking his weapon away and disarming him.

She was declared a winner, and she smiled at the officer and bowed, "You fought well and with honour.  It is a well fought victory and one I will cherish.  Thank you."
