Title: Cash vs toreQ Post by Cash on Feb 17th, 2006, 10:32am Bryan stood betleH at the ready. He was still pumped from his earlier victory. His betleH felt a little lighter in his hands this round the thrill of combat even nonlethal such as this was slowly returning to him.Bryan stood smirking as his next opponent entered the arena.....toreQ another klingon.Bryan was less cocky and sure of himself this time but he knew how to win.....at any cost. |
Title: Re: Cash vs toreQ Post by toreQ on Feb 17th, 2006, 11:44am toreQ entered the arena, his baldric and batletH decorated with the tropheys or war, his lightly grey streaked mane of hair falling about his shoulders. He faced his oponent, seeming to the audience to be fully recovered from his previous fight, though it was only in fact that he had simply been patched up and didn't allow anything to effect his focus here. "I am toreQ ne', may you fight well." He said, wishing his oponent well in a fight, brought a few surprised faces in the crowd, but not many. They all knew by now that toreQ was an Honorable fighter. |
Title: Re: Cash vs toreQ Post by Cash on Feb 17th, 2006, 11:55am Bryan just smiled at the Klingons comment as he swung his betleH around his body with his eyes closed. Trying to focus his mind.He knew the klingon could attack him easily while he did this but bryan suspected he would not.He raised his betleH into his first position and inhaled deeply slowly opening his eyes. "I hope you know how to loose well." Bryan leapt forward thru the air his betleH raised above his head for a first strike.toreQ reacted quickly rolling to the side as bryan crashed to the mat betleH impaled into the arena floor.toreQ turns quickly trying to slam cash in the "side" with his weapon to knock him to the arena floor.....the move misses as bryan pulls his betleH from the mat and rolls away from the strike. Both combatants jump to there feet. |
Title: Re: Cash vs toreQ Post by toreQ on Feb 17th, 2006, 12:10pm The strike towards the side of Cash had been intentionaly missed. Like during the Qualifying match, toreQ used it mainly to show the fault of the man's attack. "To lose well requires an Honorable oponent." He said as he blocked a blow, pushing the man's blade back and then making a quick blow to Bryan's exposed side, just enough force to crack the ribs and even the fight, as toreQ was also fighting with broken ribs that where mearly held together with knitting. "There is no Honoable oponent here." |
Title: Re: Cash vs toreQ Post by Cash on Feb 17th, 2006, 3:43pm Bryan held his side where toreQ had hit his ribs. They were for sure cracked at least in a few places. Bryan scowled as his breaths began to hurt more and more.toreQ held back watching bryan's every move. Bryan gripped his weapon with both hands again and made a thrust towards toreQ.The blades connected and bryan brought his knee up to toreQ's midsection hard.the klingon stumbled backward from the backhanded move after bryan shoved hard against his blade. |
Title: Re: Cash vs toreQ Post by toreQ on Feb 17th, 2006, 3:56pm toreQ felt the recently knitted bones break again as he was kneed. He lost his breath a moment as he stumbled back. Then ignoring the pain and everything with it he came up again to fight, blocking a blow and attempting a rather poor blow that ended up hurting his-self more than hitting Cash. |
Title: Re: Cash vs toreQ Post by Cash on Feb 17th, 2006, 4:05pm There blades met again with a fierce clash.Bryan strained trying to hold his own against the stronger toreQ. Bust finally someone had to give and it was bryan.toreQ's blade forced bryans up into his chin knocking him silly for a few moments.Bryan stumbled backward trying to shake the fuz from his mind.He spun his betleH wildly in front of him hoping to hit toreQ or fend off an attack. |
Title: Re: Cash vs toreQ Post by toreQ on Feb 17th, 2006, 4:18pm toreQ held back a moment.. Allowing them both to recover. toreQ was gasping, the battles wearing on him. He managed to bring his blade up in time though as the Human attacked. They clashed for several minutes, neither one seeming to get a good hit to well.. then toreQ wacked Cash upside the head once with back of his blade, the jem'hadar Horns on the blade making interesting marks on the human's flesh.. though both fighters still had their blades... |
Title: Re: Cash vs toreQ Post by Cash on Feb 17th, 2006, 4:27pm Bryan grabbed the side of his head.Blood began to seep down the side of his face onto his uniform. He held his blade up with one hand and deflected a series of weak blows from toreQ who was obviously testing his remaining strength.Bryan began to grow more and more enraged. His old nature starting to take over.He lowered his hand from the side of his head and held his blade up before him.He smirked at toreQ and spun his blade around over his head the klingon glanced upward at the right time and cash kicked out at toreQ's knee with his foot sending the klingon crashing to the mat.Bryan took the initiative and struck down at the prone toreQ who blocked the blow with his betleH both men locked in a struggle for supremacy. |
Title: Re: Cash vs toreQ Post by toreQ on Feb 17th, 2006, 4:53pm toreQ yelped shortly as the knee to his bad leg was kicked and against his control the leg gave out. He fell heavily managing to twist enough to catch Cash's blade. Gasping heavily he struggled to hold Cash's blade off.. there was several blows, and toreQ struggled to get up and was leaned on one leg which made it difficult to block fully.. still the pain increased his blood rushing... with a strong battle cry he jumped up with his good leg and clashed with the end of Cash's blade. The tip broke off of Cash's blade as the older and stronger batletH toreQ weld went threw Cash's defense... The tip of his blade embedded into Cash's shoulder, and then his bad knee was hit again... He fell forward on top of Cash, lossing grip of his blade as he tried not to push the blade further into Cash's shoulder. |
Title: Re: Cash vs toreQ Post by Cash on Feb 17th, 2006, 5:00pm Bryan stumbled backward pulling the blade from his shoulder as toreQ collapsed to the deck. The pain was incredible. "Winner by disarm Bryan Cash!"the judge said loudly. Bryan looked down at the betleH in his hand....one of the end points had broken off and was now lying on the arena floor.Bryan had fought many matches with the weapon and he never thought anything like that could happen to it........and to him.He looked down at toreQ and then up into the stands as his knees gave out and he collapsed from pain and exhaustion. |
Title: Re: Cash vs toreQ Post by Bettina Davies on Feb 17th, 2006, 6:21pm Outside the arena, Bettina paced nervously. She hated this, but she would never tell him that. It was something he was compelled to do, for whatever silly reasons men did the things they did. And besides, she had no hold on him, no right to judge his life. A wild cheer rose up and her heart quickened. She started to run into the arena, then changed her mind, uttering an oath. There was no way she could bring herself to go in there, and she was positioned so that he would have to pass by, one way or another. She only hoped he was upright. |
Title: Re: Cash vs toreQ Post by Cash on Feb 17th, 2006, 6:35pm Bryan lay on the liter as it was being pushed out of the arena. Two medics were seeing to his wounds. The shoulder wound was the worst and was still oozing blood rather rapidly."That klingon bryan thought to himself toreQ.....he could have killed me but he didn't.He lost the match to not cause me any serious harm"........Bryan's head was swimming from either the meds he was being given or the concusion and cuts on the side of his head from toreQ'a betleH.He wanted to find that klingon and ask him why he did what he did.....He remember what Ta'pez had told him after there match and he had taken it to heart....but it hadn't really sunk in untill he witnessed what tore'Q did.Bryan shook his head slowly as he was pushed past a crowd of people waiting outside the arena.....he didnt feel very good.As he passed the crowd the onlookers all gasped at his condition.......one bryan could barely make out thru the haze of his vision started shouting his name. |
Title: Re: Cash vs toreQ Post by toreQ on Feb 17th, 2006, 7:36pm toreQ lay on the floor of the arena a moment, gasping... the Medics came for Cash and took him out and toreQ wandered if the Human had been to severely injured. He had done his best to keep from wounding him severely, but he may not have taken weaker human anatomy into account. Slowly toreQ gritted his teeth and sucked up the pain as he attempted to get up. He got up half way and then dropped. He tried again. About the third time he made it onto his hands and knee and grabbed his batletH in front of him. Though he knew it wasn't the proper use for the blade, he used the blade as a staff a moment as he took a deep breath and forced himself to get up at least on his good leg. Then slowly the wounded warrior stumbled out of the arena, doing his best to look strong while if he were a human he would likely not be standing. As he came out he saw a woman he had met earlier, and seen with Cash and stopped in front of her. "He is a good warrior with a good heart, but only a woman can show him how to use it." He chuckled faintly, humor in his eyes despite the pain he was in. |
Title: Re: Cash vs toreQ Post by toreQ on Feb 18th, 2006, 12:14am Nodding, she looked up at him, feeling no resentment. Of course, she didn't know who had won, either. Both had gone into it willingly, so there was no blame to be placed. "Too bad we can't show you how to use your heads, too..." She grinned, then frowned. You're hurt," she murmured, "let me help you..." However, she did not make a move to assist as she would one of her crewmates, knowing it might not be welcome. toreQ looked around him, the crowd roaring... of course he wandered how many would have roared if he had won. It didn't matter. He looked back to the woman and realized his vision had blurred... he accepted her aide with a silent look as the ground started to rush up at him... EEP! As she moved forward to help him, he started to collapse. There was no way she could physically hold him up, but she had the training to catch him and ease him to the ground so he didn't hurt himself or crush her. Grasping him around (well, as much around as she could) the chest, she swung her hip into his thigh, then dropped to one knee. "toreQ? You here, still?" toreQ's mind cleared a bit once he was down. "Think I'm bleeding." He said clearly. He started to sit up again. "All right...can you make it with my help? Will you need a litter?" Maybe once they were out of sight of the crowd..."And what about the batletH?" She knew that the fighters were very possessive of the weapons but she didn't know if there were any rituals attached to them... "Needs to be placed on the wall. They won't let me take it with me." He said as he slowly pulled himself back up. He had no idea why he would suddenly fall like that. True, he was wounded. But, he didn't see them severe enough for that. "All right..." She shifted so she was closer to him and he could lean on her shoulder. "Who does that? Will someone take care of it?" She glanced toward the litter that Bryan was on, wondering where his batletH was. toreQ also considered the man's blade. "Normally we do it ourselves. We should get his batletH to put up on wall." "We? But you need medical attention..." Looking up at him, she sighed. She knew from working with Ensign R'ro that Klingons had a way about things and were as stubborn as...well, Klingons! "Now?" toreQ had already started heading back to the arena, limping heavily on his own... Sighing, she shook her head, then went to Bryan's side, taking his hand again. "Bryan? Can you hear me? We're going to put your batletH back on the wall...Then I'll come right back, okay?" Gently, she kissed his forehead. Bryan watched as she slowly walked away to put his blade back on the wall. Just seeing her made the wounds not hurt as much. Bryan hoped she wasn't worried to much about him he had suffered worse damage in battle before. Bryan thought of his life and the path that lead him here to her. He wondered if he had it in him to keep going. Unable to keep fully aware he slipped into unconsciousness. Trotting after toreQ, Bettina followed him to the edge of the arena, then when he came back with the blade, she looked up at him. "Am I allowed to touch it? I can take it.." He seemed burdened under the weight of both weapons., and again, she wasn't sure about ritual... toreQ handed her Cash's blade, the tip broken off it. As he did, he seemed almost like he was about to fall again. "Whoa!" Bettina shoved her shoulder against his side as she took Bryan's batletH, surprised at how heavy it was. "You all right?" She needed to know if she needed to drop the weapon and catch him.. Her shoulder hit the broken ribs and in a snarl of pain he snapped, "Let go of me!" Her shoulder came away with blood on it. His armor covered the wound. toreQ took his blade and started to head for the wall to put his blade up closer to the losing end. I kinda figured she might hit something sore! "I'm sorry! I didn't mean..." Sighing, she followed after him, trying to handle the unwieldy weapon as best she could. She had never even touched one before. "Where does it go?" As if she would be able to lift it above her waist! He pointed to an empty rack closer to the wining side than it had been before. Which indicated who had won in the last match. Realization dawned on her as she looked at the positioning. Bryan had won...she felt a surge of pride, but really, honor was what toreQ was doing, helping the man who had defeated him. Standing on her toes, she strained to balance the blade and hang it without doing any damage to herself. Once it was in place, she stepped back and looked up at the Klingon. "Thank you, sir. I'm grateful for your help..." He just shrugged, and then he started to put his blade up. He got it up there, and just as it was up, he leaned against the wall... "Have any Bloodwine..." He said with a slight Klingon Grin, despite fact that he was not well. "No, afraid not..." She grinned, recognizing the grimace as a smile. "How about we get you to Sickbay, then Bryan can buy you a round later? He owes you, I think..." "How much time until next round..." He asked, but didn't allow her to answer. Because he knew... Not long. Not long enough to find the Klingon Doctor... Even so... toreQ was loosing blood and adrenaline was running down... His eyes crossed a moment as he slumped down the wall. Ah, heck! Bettina rushed forward and caught him, then looked around her. "You, I need your help," she snapped at a passing man. She might be a small slip of a Terran, but she knew her job. "Help me get him to Sickbay, he has a match in less than an hour..." Frowning, the man nodded, but moved closer. "He's bleeding..." "And you will be, too, baktag, if you don't help me now!" Shaking her head, she pulled out her tricorder and ran a quick diagnostic as the man held toreQ from falling over completely. New wounds, cuts and a few minor fractures, as well as old wounds reopened. Quickly, she sealed the worst of the bleeding lacerations. The doctors would have to see to a more definitive fix. "Can you stand if we help?" she asked toreQ. toreQ looked at her and muttered something in Klingon about Needing the Klingon Qel. "What did he say?" She glanced at the man who was reluctantly trying to help, but he shrugged. "What did you say? ToreQ...help me here..." She was about ready just to beam to Sickbay. "I need bloodwine and rest... No more. If I be treated, it be by a Klingon Qel." toreQ said, getting agitated by all this concern... Bettina sighed and nodded. "So where do we find this Qel?" She started to haul him to his feet, with some help of the man she had commandeered. "And where would you rest?" She knew how men were, knew Klingons were worse. He was an adult, and able to make his own choices, and she would respect that. Now, if he stood and passed out from blood loss, he was hers! toreQ stood, his head spun... and then he was back down. Letting out a breath, Bettina shook her head, but she was smiling. He had given it a good try! Tapping her combadge, she called for a medical team to get him to Sickbay. She'd make sure he got his bloodwine...eventually! JP Bettina Davies PO2 DS7 |
Title: Cash vs toreQ Post by Cash on Feb 18th, 2006, 1:37am Bryan slowly opened his eyes, the pain in his shoulder was incredible but it was better than before. Bettina stood over him smiling she had a dermal regenerator in her hand and was slowly running it over the wound. She frowned as she noticed old scars on his chest that had not been noticed in there previous encounter. He had a half an hour untill his next match the medics were making sure he was able to compete It seemed likely he would be able to.Bryan smiled and rubbed the sleep fom his eyes. "How long was i out?" <Tag Bett> |
Title: Re: Cash vs toreQ Post by Bettina Davies on Feb 18th, 2006, 2:55am OOC: This is after toreQ is seen to ON: Bryan smiled and rubbed the sleep fom his eyes. "How long was i out?" "Not long enough." She grinned, then bent to kiss him gently on the cheek. "I'm just going back over things. The doctor already saw to the worst of the wounds. How do you feel? I've heard that bloodwine helps..." She set the regenerator down, then took his hand. TAG: Bryan |
Title: Re: Cash vs toreQ Post by Cash on Feb 18th, 2006, 3:01am Bryan flashed his famous grin.and squeezed her hand tight as he could manage. "I've felt better.....then again i've felt worse." He reached up and touched her cheek.he wished he could kiss her at that moment but the band playing and marching in his head wouldn't allow it. "Thanks for patching me back up." |
Title: Re: Cash vs toreQ Post by Bettina Davies on Feb 18th, 2006, 6:30am OOC: This is after toreQ is seen to ON: "Just doing my job..." Her smile was restrained...she was worried about him...and just a bit angry, not that he would know. "And wait until you get my bill..." Leaning close, she whispered in his ear, "I think you owe me some holodeck time, Mister." TAG Cash |
Title: Re: Cash vs toreQ Post by Cash on Feb 18th, 2006, 9:02am Bryan smiled as bett whispered into his ear remembering there time in the holodeck before. His thoughts then drifted to toreQ and what had happened. He suddenly had very little want to continue in the tournament. He did have a desire to speak to toreQ. "Where is toreQ?I need to speak with him." |
Title: Re: Cash vs toreQ Post by Veska on Feb 18th, 2006, 12:42pm Veska growled yet again… people kept getting in her way. She finally resorted to just shoving people out of her way. Just as she approached she heard the call go in to the sickbay. Insolent people getting in the way… Finally she was able to get close enough and grabbed toreQ’s arm from the medic that was attempting to pull him back up. “He is mine,” Veska said a little more gruffly than she had intended to, to the medic. He was just doing his job, as Veska was trying to do hers, but she was still frustrated at how delayed she had been to get to toreQ in the first place. “Couldn’t have waited until I got to you before you got all honor bound to put the bat’leth up didn’t you,” she muttered to toreQ in Klingon (more or less) “Impatient males,” she said in Federation standard to Bettina with a hint of a smile, the frustration starting to wear off. “Go see to your friend,” Veska said as she started scanning for what direction to take toreQ to, so she could patch him back up…again. Even with the boost of the Klingon genetics, toreQ was heavy and if he wasn’t helping much, Veska wouldn’t be able to move him far. She found a spot just off the main part of the wall, by the attendee side, so there were much fewer people as they were all over by the fighter portion. “Let us see how badly you got yourself this time,” she said. <toreQ> Ooc: we shouldn’t be too hard to spot for Bettina to bring Cash back on over :p |
Title: Re: Cash vs toreQ Post by toreQ on Feb 18th, 2006, 2:51pm toreQ stirred a moment, opening his eyes. He saw the Klingon Medic had had met in the round before and had a feeling he was going to get it, for all her hard work having been undone plus the extra injury on top. His mind drifted in a haze as he though about the match. It had seemed his oponent, though fought dirty he sensed that the man was on verge of understanding honor. Understanding why a warrior must fight with honor, no matter what he/she is against. His mind drifted of again with them thoughts... <Tags> |
Title: Re: Cash vs toreQ Post by satian on Feb 18th, 2006, 4:09pm Satian was in his wy to hang his batleh on the wall after his distasful match with Beckett. he had discrased his blade by sheading the blood of one so dishonourable with it, he had clean it blood off and as he turned the cornor he ran into the crowd. it took only a moment to find out what had happened and who it had happened to. it was then that Satian noticed Viska fighting her way thru the crowd tring ot get to the injured warrior and that no one was letting her thru. this did not inprove Satian's mood when he started to move thru the crowd to help her as rubber neckers would not clear a path even when he IDed him self as a Starfleet Capt. well so be it. It was as if a tank had been turned loss in the room as Satian using his powerful build to force his way thu with little regard who he ran over, bodys being shoved out of the way with no reguard of who they might be or ware they might end up. first he placed his batleh on the wall and then worked his way to Viska. Can i be of assisents doctor. at that point toreQ started to slump further on the floor and Satian reached down hand helped him back to his feet. steading against the wall where would you like to go Qel. this is much to public for one as he. |
Title: Re: Cash vs toreQ Post by Veska on Feb 18th, 2006, 4:24pm "There was a room around the corner that was more...private before. Not far from here," Veska answered holding one side and waiting for Satian to grab the other. "By the look on your face, I would say your match was not to your honor standards either?" she asked Satian. |
Title: Re: Cash vs toreQ Post by satian on Feb 18th, 2006, 4:38pm Satian slipped one of toreQ arms over his shoulders and took up most of his weight, starting to move in the direction indacated. The fool tried to attack when i was paying attention to the judges to start the fight. he failed. I allowed my emotions to take control and i dishonoured myself by humiliting him. treating him as if he were nothing. even if he is nothing more then a stinking bag of excrement |
Title: Re: Cash vs toreQ Post by Bettina Davies on Feb 18th, 2006, 4:48pm OFF: Just for clarification...Cash was taken to Sickbay while toreQ and Bettina took his and Cash's betleHs to the wall to hang them. That's where toreQ has collapsed. Sorry for any confusion! ON: "He's lost a good bit of blood," Bettina told the Klingon doctor, looking up at her. She worked with a Klingon, so the curt manner didn't put her off. "I tried to patch up the worst of the cuts. He is strong, and stubborn..." She grinned. "And heavy..." However, she withheld any comment about him helping her with Cash's betleH, leaving that choice to him, aware that Klingons had slightly skewed (to her, anyway) sense of honor and all that...that he might not want to admit he'd actually helped her..."Oh, and I kinda battered his ribs...I didn't mean to...looks like the patching didn't hold." She looked up as more help arrived, then stood and stepped back. "Do you need me for anything else, Ma'am?" She was anxious to get to Sickbay and check on Cash, now that toreQ was getting proper care... "Didn't expect it to hold," Veska answered, "not with another fight so soon. You probably have others that need...and want... your attention. I have been on both sides of the Klingon/Federation operating table, I suppose you could say, and I don't always understand." Shrugging, Bettina grinned. "They're men!" Glancing at toreQ, she gave him a nod then turned and trotted toward Sickbay. OFF: Thanks for the help, Veska! |
Title: Re: Cash vs toreQ Post by Bettina Davies on Feb 18th, 2006, 5:08pm OFF: This is after Bettina leaves toreQ in the good hands of Veska... ON: "Where is toreQ? I need to speak with him." "He's with is own medical staff," she murmued, combing her fingers through his hair. "He was a little cut up, but he'll survive to fight again..." She smiled, then added, "Oh, and you owe him some bloodwine. I hope you don't mind?" TAG: Cash OFF: We're looking at getting them together for lunch, if that works for you? |
Title: Re: Cash vs toreQ Post by Cash on Feb 18th, 2006, 5:13pm "Yeah thats fine....i owe him alot more than that." Bryan smiled and sighed as he turned his head to the side and touched the newly healed skin.He would have just the most barely visable signs of scars. That didnt matter it was what he was going to do next that really mattered. He turned and looked back up at bett and felt the last little bits of something dark begin to leave his soul. |
Title: Re: Cash vs toreQ Post by Bettina Davies on Feb 18th, 2006, 5:23pm Looking at him, she felt her cheeks reddening at the intense scrutiny. Title: Re: Cash vs toreQ Post by satian on Feb 18th, 2006, 5:37pm naa I went to hang up my blade and there was a broken down old klingon on the floor, I thought it only right to help Viska remove the trash so as no one would fall and injure them selfs. you could have found a better place to take a nap and not intrupt me. |

Title: Re: Cash vs toreQ Post by toreQ on Feb 18th, 2006, 5:59pm toreQ's nose wrinkled more. The smell was terrible, but he knew the herbs would work well. Title: Re: Cash vs toreQ Post by satian on Feb 18th, 2006, 6:04pm Satian took a small drink of the wine. it was what one would expect to be carried by a doctor. I will insure it is of better qulity as not to posion the next victom of your tender care Viska, and prehaps a little romulan ale to deaden the pain?
