Me and my opponent have an sight problem with the condition of the betleH, could this be cariflied before we can continue.

betleH in this tournament, Sharp, pointy and made to kill. or Dull, not so pointy and made to spar.

our current debate.

A Voyager Episode featured Klingons that would spar without sharpen blades so they wouldn't kill each other.
It was writen in their holy books, and was the only way she (Captain Janeway) would let Paris an another Klingon fight in honourable combat.

Which voyager episode? I don't remember that. It also strikes me as anti-Klingon.

Sadly, I have to side with taj'vI on this one. Klingons fight with live weapons. If you can't fight with a live weapon in the tourney, you don't belong.

The episode where they thought Torres kid was the Kuvah'Magh. But then, those Klingons were wussie Klingons,. They were so sick, Paris beat them up.

Taj'vI is correct. I plunged my blade into Ta'pez, causing more damage to his armour than to his flesh to be honest. I threw the blade, not a move I'd recommend to anyone who is not highly skilled.

I'm not suprised that Janeway might insist on blunt blades being used.

Part of the skill in these tournaments is not killing the opponent.

True these Klingons were odd, but Klingons none the less, K'hare has spoken I just wanted to comfirm on how our blades your conditioned.
