There was no hesitation. She pressed into his kisses, clinging to him almost desperately, feeling the residual pain of old disappointments falling away. While she didn't fool herself into thinking this was anything more than it was, she was content to let it happen, to have the experience as a wonderful treasure to hold to in the future...

Later, as she curled against him, she drew small circles on his chest, feeling warmth and contentment she hadn't had in some time. Smiling softly, she looked into his eyes, then reached up to run her finger softly over his lips. "Thank you," she murmured quietly.

Bryan smiled he took her hand away from his lips briefly and kissed it he held her hand against his heart as he contrinued to look into her eyes.

No thank you.There's a warmth in there now that i thought would never come back.You've touched something inside of me stired such feelings that i thought had left me.......

Bryan paused he knew how he felt but he didnt want to say to much to ruin the moment.So he just kissed her and held her as close as he could.

Bryan laughed he felt better than he had in years.To the point he was rethinking why he even came here to the tournament...heck he was considering some other things as well to that he never would have before.He looked at the sweet face of bettina.He wanted to ask her something to not watch him in the tournament he didn't know if he could stand for her to see that side of him..perhaps it would be better if she did.....bryan just wasn't sure.....the chronometer in the room began to chime the new hour bryan looked up and his eyes widened.

The welcoming ceremony starts soon.I'm going to have to be there....would you like to go with me?

"I'd be honored. Do you have to do anything? I mean, will they introduce the contestants?" Sitting up, she folded her legs under her and looked down at him. I may not be able to root for you, though if you're fighting someone from DS7." She grinned. "At least not out loud...Oh, hey, wait a sec!"

Jumping up, still quite unclothed, she rummaged through her pack and pulled out a purple hair ribbon. "Here..." Kneeling, she tied it around his arm. "A favor to my favorite knight." Then she wrinkled her nose. "You don't really have to wear it."

Bryan smiled wide.She wa so beautiful sitting there he nose wrinkled in that cute way she did when she wasnt sure of herself.

Of course i'll wear it.Maybe it'll bring me good luck!And as for the ceremony no i won't have to do anything.....except change into my uniform as much as i don't want to i am competing for my ship.
But i would like you to be there with me.

Bryan stood and started getting dressed.

Yeah i have to run back to my quarters and put my uniform back on.I'll meet you in the arena in twenty minutes.

Bryan pulled bettina up to him and hugged her tight.They kissed again her lips soft and sweet against his.Bryan didnt want it to end but it had to.

I'll meet you there then.

Bryan winked at her as he darted out the door the largest smile ever on his face.

For a long moment, Bettina just sat on the bed, hugging her knees to her chest. He made her feel good, and that was something she cherished. Not that she didn't have that from others, but Bryan was different...

Finally, she laughed just for the pure joy of it, and jumped up, trotting to the shower. She was looking forward to seeing him again. He was special, no doubt about that!
