IKS meH'Haj arrives, part II
Feb 10th, 2006, 5:52am

The meH'Haj had docked at serenity and the ship's guests as well as a large number of the crew were disembarking and the evaluations were over.  K'Hare stepped off the battle bridge with Ing not too far behind.  As they left, the systems shutdown and consoles went dead.

He took the long way out, walking more than he had too, to take a walk through the Engineering decks.  For the most part, this trip had annoyed and angered him.  Only his visits with the NCOs of the Engineering were a bright point.

The attack on Q'olavraH, the attitudes of some of this crew... he told himself that none of this would have happened on the meH'Haj he left.  This wasn't the same ship.  It was true, you can't go home again.  Time changes you and it changes the places you know.

He walked down the hall to the airlock and left the IKS meH'Haj knowing he would never return to the one he had left, and hoping he would never have the need to return to this one.

He exited the docking tube and found Ing standing near the cargo K'Hare had brought along.  It was all marked Diplomatic and the security officer didn't seem to like that.  One was clearly a duffle bag with clothing, another was clearly a case holding a betleH, four small containers were vaguely keg shaped, and the last, a large box, could have been anthing.  K'Hare walked up, saying, "Is there a problem?"

<< Wall of honour >>

"Operations to Mister Taylor" the voice rang out from his comm badge breaking him from his thoughts

"Taylor here" He said wondering what they could want he remembered leaving explicit instructions not to be disturbed again.

"Sir, Vice Admiral Jefferson told me to inform you K'Hare totlh has arrived, further more he would like you to greet him"

Dan smiled "Understood, I will be there momentarily"

<< Serenity Base Docking area >>

"Is there a problem" Dan heard the totlh's voice before he saw him, unsurprisingly he found his old XO causing trouble.

"Thank you ensign Johnson" said Dan as he walked over "But I will handle the totlh from now on"

"Sir" the ensign straightened up as he saw Taylor "I'm sorry but the Klingon here has diplomatic pouches and he's not listed as a diplmat, I need to check what he's brought"

Dan shook his head slightly and smiled as he saw the barrel shaped objects "No, thank you ensign. You are dismissed. The totlh is known to me, I can vouch he has no intention of bringing illegal weapons aboard or killing anyone - except possibly young ensigns who don't listen to reason" he winked as he said the last bit.

"Have his bags moved to his quarters by hand, no scaning, no beaming. If I find anything has been messed with you'll be assigned to Breen"

Johnson's face turned white "Eerrr yes sir!"

Dan turned to K'Hare and held out his wrist "Hello K'Hare" he said grinning "Grab your betleH and lets go to the wall"

K'Hare smiled at the approach of his old TFCO, Taylor.  It was good to have friends in the federation.  The irony of that thought didn't hit him until later.

"Dan, I am surprised to see you here... that is, I knew you were competing but I expected this Jefferson to meet me.  If you prevented that, I owe you a drink from one of those kegs."  He laughed.
