The p’Dra’on entourage had left. Ta’pez and poQ were on their way back to the starbase as the welcoming ceremonies were to begin soon. poQ looked up, he was considering how to best put it without launching. “So what do you think?” poQ asked Ta’pez. “About K’trol, and his offer” “It’s appealing.” Ta’pez said “Especially for a house like hours. If we could trust him” poQ was silent for a moment and Ta’pez chuckled after a few steps. “You are duying to disagree yet you hold your tongue.” Ta’pez said. “It’s a quality few warriors have.” “My long years as a weHwI’ and a servant of cheng, son of ne’thal have thought me to so.” poQ said. “You wanted to run on out that room.” Ta’pez said. “I could smell it.” poQ grew uncomfortable, this was an area that they that no matter how rational he was, his gut was telling him one thing and his mind another. “If I am an open book,” poQ spoke as neutrally as possible, “then my lord you should know why I object. The K’brd Lok have a long past, and no matter how well they dress it up they are no better then the Duras were in some regards. In fact in this case if we are to follow them we will end up along with them in a fate worse then the Duras.” Ta’pez was silent. He looked ahead silent, poQ threaded carefully wishing to impress upon him more without disagreeing with the lord. “If the p’Dra’on were as honorable as they claim to be their sons would never rise against them.” poQ continue with a somewhat desperate hope that his joH would saw the reasoning about it. Ta’pez was about to respond when a kr’tach arrived. “ My lord!.” He said somewhat hurriedly. Ta’pez nodded to him and asked. “What is it?” “We have received the dispatch that you were waiting for.” The kr’tach said giving the hoQra to Ta’pez. “Well done,” Ta’pez said. The Kr’tach saluted and stepped to the side. “We shall finish this later poQ, I shall see you after the welcoming ceremonies.” Ta’pez said though the old warrior seemed crestfallen, the words had not made the impact that he hoped he had.
